I have the same problem, but the glasses are only white in the profile menu where you can select them. While playing, they are fine - no problems so far.
Maybe it depends on the time of day, but when you set the time to around 5 pm and all sunny you'll have a lovely blue sky with some blinking stars.
However the fog at a distance depends on your game settings aswell. So if you set the weather to no fog, you'll still have fog-clouds around you, depending of how far your view distance is.
I noticed in the demo version that you are always having 30 bullets in your M16, even when you reload it with a fresh (30 round) clip. Is this supposed to be like that? What I am trying to say is - there must be one round left in the chamber of your M16 while you reload it with a unused clip, making it 31 rounds total - no?
I am playing the demo version. However, I do not recall how the exact syntax for different situations is. So you are probably right. At the moment I am using the map as my best friend for orientation - even in multiplayer-coop.
*edit
I was not saying anything about the AI in Armed Assault 2 calling out east, west etc.
I was just referring to Operation Flashpoint where the callouts where related to a watch/compass system.
I may not answer your question to your fullfillment, but I can give you a bit of a help. You can select one of five different "voice-types" and adjust their pitch in the profile menu.
The clock callouts worked like a imaginary compass as far as I know. So 3 o'clock was east, 6 o'clock south, 9 o'clock west and 12 o'clock north etc.
Now, when I get a message like: "In front of us." it's like oh yeah, but where are you looking at?
That would be great. I noticed the new sitreps in the (by the way great) demo and they get me confused.
An example - I get a radio-message that goes something like this: "Riflemen, 500 meters in front of us." - does that mean the rifleman is 500m in front of me, 500m in front of my squad or in front of the group leader?
