Well yeah but the AI doesn't get scared as far as I know. I made this topic after playing online because as we landed a group of enemy AI just stood there firing at us while I was spraying them with minigun fire. It didn't suppress them or anything.

Playing as a door gunner online is nearly impossible due to the lag and rubberbanding so I propose adding splash damage to the Huey's miniguns. If anyone here played the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942 you'll know what I'm talking about. Nothing huge, just a two or three foot radius, it would make door gunners valuable especially when landing in hot LZs. The way it is now requires you to be pinpoint accurate, which as I said earlier is impossible because of lag.

It's some sort of bug with the game, the same thing happens to me but I solve it by restarting the computer. In your case if it's been this way for a week maybe you should reinstall the game.

This probably sounds stupid but i cant seem to notice any difference in the sounds with vopsound... Im pretty sure i did everything like the instructions say and when i connect to servers i see the message "... is using modified data vopsound 2.1" etc etc and i dont get kicked so i guess i am using vopsound, am i just deaf ? D:Have you added the correct command line to your short cut? Or you can try using Alpinestar's launcher.
Try firing a silenced M4, if it sounds like "snap" rather than "pew pew" then the mod should be working.

They don't even credit the authors. Classy.

I just tried and you're right OP, the sight actually sways more when kneeling than it does when standing up.
-
Patch 1.04 is supposed to optimize cities so we'll see.
-
Someone should fill it up with a bunch of Lovecraftian horrors. "The Shadow over Chernarus".
-
I'll log on tonight and see if I can find a server running it, sounds fun.

IMO you don't need one. When I started playing online I didn't know how anything worked and I learned through trial and error. You can ask questions when you're in a server and people will answer unless they're dicks. Just make sure you know how to type so you can explain yourself or apologize for driving away in the MHQ, lol.

nice results, i have some screens i'll post later on with some of my results, i actually got a really cool setting where the sky is purple and has a small amount of fog, now if only there was a mod where it actually snowed in the winter months and there were heat waves and or effects in the summer, that would be awesome. There's a snow mod out there somewhere

Please don't, it's annoying.

It depends on the players. There's only one PvP server with good ping that I can play on, but I've witnessed both good and bad teamwork. Usually the side that has someone take command and give orders ends up winning.

Try to change around the months and time of day (sunrise and sunset). I know the months are realistic, for example the sun sets earlier in the winter. It also seems to be easier to see at night during winter months if you have a clear sky. The stars and planets change too depending on the time of year. Here's something cool I found, an orange moon:

As far as the choppers, do you have the freedom to use them as you like? Because a good pilot with a decent arsenol of weapons can change a battle 180* easily, at least in my BF2 days. I was obsessed with using attach choppers.
If you liked the BF2 helicopters you will love the ArmA 2 ones. There are helicopters for different roles like transport and attack, and the attack helicopters even have different versions with different loadouts. The way it usually goes in multiplayer is transport pilots bring troops close to the objective (hopefully without getting shot down by a SAM). After the troops destroy any AA the attack helicopter can come in and start doing its job. Unlike BF2 you can actually lock on and destroy armored vehicles from miles away and the gunner can even zoom in with the gun camera. The game physics even model auto rotations so if your engine gets disabled and you know what you're doing you can safely crash land.

Object detail needs to be at least Normal or else you're going to be at a disadvantage since units disappear closer to you.
-
The graphics look freaking insane, hard to believe the requirements will stay the same...
-
Thanks for asking our questions, sounds like Arrowhead will be even better than ArmA 2.

I think it's just a bug with the control config system, I've tried binding certain actions to my joystick and they won't work, they only work with the preset key.
-
Didn't help me in any noticeable way, just made the game look worse.
How do you remove this?Delete the @FPSHelper1.21 file from your installation directory

Here's one that's large and up close, it's in the shade but you could lighten it probably.

Speaking of helmets, what is that tan colored helmet some of the Force Recon units wear?
-
Still getting the same FPS in Chernogorsk and Elekrovadosk but the stuttering and sluggishness seem to be greatly reduced, cities are a much smoother experience now.

Sounds like FADE....
Triggerhappy Choppers
in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE

Hi I just had a question and comment.
1. "-player can access gunner's weapons directly using manual fire" You can already do this without the help of addons, am I misunderstanding something here?
2. Your addon disabled my ability to zoom in with the right-mouse button for some reason. Whenever I fly around I use the right-mouse button to zoom in and look for targets, when the addon is activated I cant.
