aha. i was searching for "help" and "tips" only. thanks.

in evolution, i occasionally see a little green rectangle appear in the upper right corner of the screen with gameplay tips. can anyone tell me how to script this? thanks.

i like your idea! you can get a revive script here:

let us know when you're done. i'd like to try it. i was thinking of making something similar.
i am also looking for info on adjusting how the scoring works. specifically, there is a problem when a tank is destroyed and the driver hops out just before it blows up. the driver may be killed by the explosion, but the player who destroyed the tank doesn't get any credit.

for me, the demo ran faster than the full version at first. i had to mess with the arma2.cfg file to get them to run the same. had to do with the video ram being detected differently. but now that the settings are identical, i get identical FPS in both.

And by the way, for those saying "oh, it's realism, you're turning with a 90kg weapon!", er, you realise it's exactly the same for when you're aiming with a pistol, right?also, it's the same when looking through a sniper scope. moving the gun a matter of mm while looking through a scope should not result in the "realistic" lag of moving a heavy weapon.

Worst issue with the game is mouselag which should be fixed ASAP.agree 100%

i'm having the same mouse lag problems with the demo. it's not *just* lag though. it's also a lack of fine control. it's impossible to move the aiming reticle less than about 10 pixels at a time for me. if i move my optical trackball as slowly and carefully as i can, the reticle won't move less than 10 pixels at a time. this makes it very hard to aim, especially through the sniper scope. the aim is jumping around in steps, instead of moving slowly. i also get this effect in the game menus. the mouse cursor jiggles and doesn't move smoothly. yes, i have tried using other mice, and disabling "fine control" in the control panel, and playing with the sensitivity sliders, and everything else suggested in this thread. i play a lot of other FPS games, and do not have this problem. before you go blaming my hardware, consider this: my setup works fine for every other game out there, even ones where i can't get good FPS (e.g. crysis2). if all the other games got it right, how come ARMA2 can't? i won't buy this game until this issue has been fixed. you hear me, BI?

i'm getting bad mouse lag/smoothing in the arma2 demo. it makes the game nearly unplayable for me. fine aiming is impossible. a small movement of the mouse produces no movement of the sights. it takes a relatively a large movement of the mouse to move the crosshairs, which is obviously undesirable. the smallest movement i can make is about 10 pixels. i'm not retarded and don't have cerebral palsy. my setup works fine for every other FPS out there. if they don't fix this, i'm not buying the game. sad, because i was really really psyched for arma2.
Can't turn out in M1A2 Tusk and T-72 as driver
in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING

i've noticed that i can't "turn out" as the driver in the M1A2 Tusk, and the T-72 tank. these models have hatches where the driver should be able to stick his head out, but "turn out" is not on the mouse wheel menu, and pressing Z on the keyboard doesn't work either. this makes it difficult to drive these tanks when playing on expert mode, or with 3rd person view disabled.
