    Miltary Bases on Chernarus??

    "Shortly after WWII, the small Red Army airport in the Northern province, designated for parachute training, expanded and gradually evolved into an air base with large military surroundings. In the border mountains there are a few former bases. After the regaining of independence, the Chernarussian Army took over these military bases." -from http://www.arma2.com/chernarus_en.html If you poke around a bit in the woods you can find remains of old bases with broken towers and partial fences, but as W0lle said the only "proper" base is the large airport.

    these are great addons and have really changed my missions for the better. however i wonder if it is possible to tweak the trigger happy gunners. i really like how much more my AI squad fires except that rifleman enjoy unloading their 5.56 rounds into tanks a little too much and before i know it theyre complaining theyre out of ammo! its great having them all eager to fire at the enemy but if u could change it so non AT soldiers knew not to waste their ammo on armored targets that would be great. thanks!

    kju, will the installer download be updated ever? I prefer to either download the files manually or use the installer as opposed the the Yoma Sync. The site still reads "CAA1_2009-08-21.exe (1.9 GB)" Thanks

    yup i got the same thing. got thru the awesome intro, loaded up in the humvees and made it about 2 minutes then everything dropped to 5fps and i CTD'd.

    hey Binkowski, perhaps you could talk to Schnapsdrosel in regards to that door gunner unit. I know that he has done a pilot's visor and mask for his Mercs addon: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=80944 (see the 2nd pic) With a bit of tweaking of the mask (removing hose etc) you could probably create that unit (I'm no expert in this matter). I guess I was just thinking that combining his pilot head and your ACU body would be pretty damn sweet. :)
  13. That's some bad luck. I can run chernarus at medium-high with a 2.4km viewdistance @1920x1200. Other maps like utes or the CAA1 maps I can run 100% maxed. I won't play with anything below 30fps :) Specs in sig...

    Thank you very much for your swift and informative response. I look forward to the next update. I might be releasing a CSAR style mission at some point using the Air Force PJ units ;)

    Hey sander could you please test these with the Arma 2 Beta releases. The original release worked fine even with the Betas however now using 1.01 with any beta I get an error when I open the Units Editor and the ordering of factions is messed up. Everything works fine when I run the non-beta release. There are NO actual in-game errors (units appear etc) but the config error every time I open the editor is very annoying and the unusual ordering of units is weird as well.     VopSound 2.1

    is there any way to make it so that vopsound is not put down as an addon when u create a mission in the editor. because if u run the mission later w/o vopsound it thinks that it needs it even though it is not necessary for the mission. the only fix is to delete that vop c guns line out of the mission file (a pain). can this be remedied as it doesnt occur with any other sound mods i use.

    is it possible to take another look at the Helo CAS? I know you changed it so that they spawn at the HQ which is great. However my HQ is several KM from my position and when I request the CAS the dialogue goes and then the helos never reach me but report that their mission is done and are returning to base.

    ZOMG thank you. i was just about to UL some pics to show what I was getting in the editor. cheers! also it might be worth mentioning that the vehicles class names have changed to be just MH6 and AH6 rather than the longer version before with the tag etc. This means mission files that used the old birds need to be edited to have the new class names otherwise they cant find the addon when loading. :)

    ummmm. the MH-6 no longer shows up in the editor. only the ah-6. 2.1 worked fine for me, even with CAA1. now its gone. :confused:
