    Yes, I think they should take time to TOTALLY redo the voices. The voice acting is the most ridiculous part of arma 2. I can deal with the bugs and quirks and such, but the voices are just aggravating. If I'm showing off the game to a friend, it looks really cool with all the action and the realistic models etc, but as soon as an AI team mate goes "enemy man WAAAY to our front-close" they burst out laughing. oh and the guy that keeps on moaning about his leg... :rolleyes: I really really hope that BIS does something about the voices because they take away from the atmosphere of the entire game to the extent that some scenarios are ruined. take a situation where youve taken fire and should be slowly advancing through a forest, when all of sudden #3, a private, decides it would be cool to spam over the radio "go, im covering. cover me. GOOO! moving! go I'll cover" about 10 times. If you watch videos of actual combat, sometimes the voices on the radio, or the shouting are the most intense parts: The reassuring voice from HQ of "Shot over" after youve requested arty and that sort of thing (calling out locations, saying grid references). Honestly BIS needs to address this. sorry for the rant, but I seriously hope that the voices get a do over, including "whisper voices". to me, sound is incredibly important, and as amazing as the rest of the game is the voices just take a lot away. :mad:

    clutter looks cool! regarding the little birds, the caa1 version is different. only the left minigun has tracers and there are some texture issues too

    man this is great, thanks Stiltman! I've had Strykers at the top of my wish list for addons since A2 came out. Would be cool if you could work with Binkowski and maybe get his US Army 2009 Crewmen in the Strykers by default rather than the USMC. not that the scripting takes that long, but ya know... :p

    awesome work NZX! this is an excellent upgrade from those silly unarmored humvees in vanilla A2. I noticed the belt doesnt animate on the .50 cal when you fire it, but you prolly already knew that. looking forward to the updates.

    wooh open beta! awesome, i've really been looking forward to these. driving around chernarus in the vanilla humvees annoys the hell outta me, it's like suicide. what is this, mogadishu? :D

    support for non-VTOL aircraft and MP compatibility would be great Draper. as it is this is a really handy addition for my SP missions! edit: oh and it would be cool if there was an easy way to edit some line in the files so that mission makers could determine how many times this support could be called. ie 2 helo strikes available, 1 lgb run, 4 ap strikes etc. infinite airstrikes can make things a tad a too easy. on the other hand limiting it to one strike can be annoying. thanks

    really nice script, i'll certainly be using this. one little thing: i tried changing the plane type for the fixed wing strikes, and things seemed to work fine with an AV8B in place of the F35B. but when I tried with an A10, it never showed up. Any way to make it work with the A10? Thanks!
  18. sorry for asking if this has been explained before. I've heard there will be an ACE and an ACE-X, is there a version that is JUST the equipment and vehicles and not the gameplay tweaks? For instance, if someone (me) wanted to use the Strykers and Bradleys but didn't want the range finding, fatigue, lack of crosshairs etc Thanks! Those models are really nice.

    zGuba's gameplay mods fix this pretty much. it has a feature that makes squads stick together even under combat w/o looking artificial. but a real BIS fix would be nice too
