Arma 3 heavily overpriced in Brazil - discourages new players
chiefboatsret replied to wedieyounge's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
No answer because nobody sees it as a problem, except for you of course. Also bumping is frowned upon here. -
please BIS give us the english units in the editor as a fraction !

Priority of Bugfixing and features of BIS

I have already received my money back in entertainment time that I have had in the game so far. Burgers ,fries and a couple of beers would have cost me more and have been long gone. The expectations of some for the price of a video game is so out of wack as to be truly funny. You pays your money and takes your chances because the perfect video game has yet to be made, Chalk it up, wipe the tears and move on. -
Weird graphics glitch since campaign came out

What's up with new players not wanting the game to be realistic anymore?
chiefboatsret replied to progamer's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
For a very short time VBS2 Army Lite was available for military personnel and I was fortunate to get a copy. VBS2 is a simulator and as is the general gaming public would not buy it, it is not a game per se and not that fun to play. Arma is a game with its roots in VSB2 but it is certainly not a simulator. To me Arma shines brightest when played with like minded people, where having fun is winning the mission through tactics and teamwork with the least amount of casualties. Going wherever you want on the map and at the speed you like, doing it your way with only the equipment the mission maker allows is what sets it apart. The futuristic part of Arma 3 doesn't bother me because I play MP within a community who's style of play is how I like to play and Arma 3 fits in nicely and we are moving on. Realism, immersion and fun are what you make it, just keep it in perspective though.... When all is said and done, it is just a game. -

Arma 3 full analysis - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I guess my real point is that giving a feedback report instead of whining in the forums is probably the way to go. If you can't get what you want here, go find the game that has it all and play the shit out of it. I still think I will get many more hours of entertainment value out of Arma III than I paid for it, not even the price of a meal for one at a good restaurant. Really, go play something. People spend way too much time in here trying to one up each other on what a bitch a game is. If spending $40-$60 give you this much pain and stress you have a very bad life in front of you. -

And your complaining about it will get it fixed? When are you all going to realize that there is a limit of time and resources that the developers have and that everyone is not going to get what they want. The game would never come out if they had to put in all the expectations people have. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you bought it and don't like it chalk it up to experience and move on because it will never be everything to everyone. Go bitch to EA about their games and see where that gets you, they will offer you another part for the game for more money. -
My wife don't think its so awesome, in here screaming at a monitor a the top of my lungs. When I had Track IR with the little lights on my hat and me moving my head all over the place well, she was ready to call the home and have me committed. I sold it.

Should Arma 3 open a hat store on steam?
chiefboatsret replied to craptakular's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
This is the kind of crap that came along with the flood of money from DayZ, a shit load of people that come up with these kinds if ideas to help make Arma better. I just long for the time that DayZ stand alone comes out and they all leave and we can get back to the real Arma players on the servers. -

My Intellivision system (Mattel) is in it's original box and still works, great for it's time.

I was born seven days before Pearl Harbor was bombed, I will let the math and history wizards figure it out (71 for the impatient). I have been part of the same gaming community since 2009 and Arma is the only game I play online, it is the only place I am not old and slow, where a scoped weapon and a 27" monitor is a must.

BIS has no control over servers, they neither own nor operate them. Public servers are just that.. PUBLIC, and that is the kind of play to expect. Find a group that plays the way you like and play on their private locked down servers.

I am running this game on an ssd and can also vouch that there is absolutly no stuttering.

MW2.. you feel like a rat in a tunnel, scurrying along quickly to get your reward and then in roughly 4.5 hours its done. These kinds of threads are opinions and like as*holes, everyone has one. Fanboys from either game can turn this into flames in a heartbeat and its pointless.
