    I for one am tired of coming to these forums and seeing post after post whining about game performance, “bugsâ€, blaming BIS for releasing a “beta†version , rants about patch delays etc.etc.

    Just a few short months ago the forums were packed with “gimme gimme gimme†posts so BIS did.

    Sure there are problems. What the hell do you expect with hundreds of thousands of lines of code and god only knows how many permutations and combinations of hardware and garbage users have running in the background. Even MS couldn’t get Vista working properly for ages and they are a hell of a lot bigger than BIS.

    Sure there are some problems from ArmA1 carried over but you have to take into consideration ArmA2 was their focal point (if I understand correctly) and ArmA1 was a “teaser†of what was to come.

    I have faith that BIS will eventually get around to addressing the majority of legitimate concerns and until they do, I’ll continue enjoying what aspects of the game do work properly, ignore the few that don’t, pop a Prozac once in a while ;) and wait patiently.

    There is a proper way to report any bugs you find so I’d suggest using it instead of coming in here and whining and ranting because really, the vast majority of us really don’t care. All the whines and rants are for the most part about the same things that have already been reported over and over again anyway.

    Report any bugs properly and they will probably be looked into.

    It's blatantly obvious, just like any other game these days they are milking it for all it's worth. Why create a new engine when people will put up with the current one, and you can just make it a little prettier each time? As someone just said, the driving bugs, helicopters crashing for no reason. Why haven't they fixed it? Because everyone keeps buying it, and they OBVIOUSLY (yes, OBVIOUSLY) cannot be bothered to fix it properly. They have addons to make after all.

    I'm eager to see how Operation Flashpoint 2 does, I love ARMA and ARMA 2 but they aren't really stepping outside of the box. Instead they use the same box with a new coat of paint.

    I guarantee you when (if) ARMA 3 comes out, it'll be the same shitty rehashed engine with a few more effects that performs the same, with the same crappy bugs.

    Yeh.. thanks for 'fixing' what should have been fixed on release. Again.

    Do they use monkeys as beta testers? Because there's no way some of these issues could have been missed. Or maybe they just tried to get it out the door before OPFP2 dominates.

    OP2 will have regen health, kill cams and will take up to a whole magazine to kill someone :)

    Actually, hardcore mode has none of that, if you weren't so bias and read up on things before you mouthed off about them you would know this.

    I was as adamant about ARMA2 as you guys are. But with the performance on high end machines and the bugs I mentioned it's as much of a turd as ARMA 1 was.

    Sorry that I have an opinion, but of course I'll be called a fucking troll for posting that here. Do I care? Not one bit.

    If Operation Flashpoint 2 comes out in a perfectly playable state, ARMA2 and it's sequels can go screw themselves, as long as they keep pushing this outdated engine with it's same bugs again and again transcended into each new version / expansion of it.

    How many times do you think you will get away with it? It's a buggy piece of crap to be blunt. The graphics are excellent, the gameplay is great, but you spoil it all with sound issues, clipping, enemies seeing through things, scripts not triggering, CTD's, poor performance on high end machines and so on.

    Go and have a whinge, because your whinging at the truth.
