Since it doesn't look too much like a driver problem, as I've posted in the actual 4xxx series thread. But I decided to post it here. I'm having a really weird rendering problem on an ATI HD 4870 1GB, Q9550 (OC 3.1) EarthWatts 500watt PSU and the 10.5a I believe drivers. If you need anything else about system just ask, but those are the essentials.

The PSU can support the Graphic card no problem, I've played the game fine before with the two, the only thing I replaced was the CPU.

thats strange. I had a q9550 oc'd to 3.8 and had no problems.Have you deleted the arma.cfg file so the game can reset the settings?
What else did you change when you switched processors?
What kinda power supply watts wise do you have?
I'll try deleting my arma.cfg file right now, and I have a 500watt PSU, which is a little low for this kind of setup, but it's never effected anything else before.
Ah, and sorry Placebo. I was too lazy to actually "Manually" resize the image, didn't know there was a .kb limit.

I used to be able to play this game just fine. I don't recall making any significant changes overall other then perhaps my new CPU, which would be a Q9550 Overclocked to 3.1 at this time. However, I don't know why a CPU would effect graphical problems.

It improved slightly when I increase the Memory setting, however it's still got the same effect, and is unplayable.

Steam version shouldnt be any different than store bought, other than the auto-updaterYea, It is, Its in a different folder under steam>ACCOUNTNAME>Common>Arma2
But i don't see it working for me.

Yea, I would agree, I watched this guy's Video's on Youtube, he's got a tonne, with 30K Views on each, I know he made me buy the game :)
