  1. So it seems it's not just me. I will create a ticket in feedbacktracker then. ---UPDATE--- Ticket no. 0020039
  2. Just checking if i alone have this problem: Only in the dev build i cannot use the arsenal in the editor. I use the following code (which works in stable for me): ["AmmoboxInit",[this,true]] call BIS_fnc_arsenal;
  3. Not all errors are a problem. Do you experience any crashes or other faults whilst playing?
  4. Battleye is available for linux: http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma3/beserver.so - MD5: BBC2C7D7CAC783106E19226A8B5C0215 (Put this file into a folder called "battleye" in your server install directory)
  5. Review the following installation instructions: http://otoris.com/installing-an-arma-iii-server-on-ubuntu/ (I followed these, and they worked for me) I suspect you are using a 64-bit server installation of linux, the application is 32-bit however. So you need to install the 32-bit libraries.
  6. The modem probably has a security or other type of log. Check if there are messages about the network drop.
  7. Is IP Flood Detection enabled in the Router/Modem's firewall?
  8. Did you previously use development build? Have you tried verifying your steamcache? Or is this "only" with the missions you built yourself?

    Multiplayer Not working

And try to connect to the server via LAN instead of Internet (when on the same network as the server).

    high ping

Isn't the ping calculated by the gamespy master?
  11. Flood detection on your modem is set to on? (try if disabling it, helps).
  12. Part of the problem is PC-gaming. A multitude of configurations that can't be tested all at once. I have a mere Athlon X4 640 and still manage to use Ultra settings in video (Videocard AMD 7850 and 12 GB ram). My problems begin when scripts are run within a mission or when there are many AI units in the map. That's understandable in my honest opinion because my processor isn't the fastest one. Online gaming differs from server to server. The speed of the server is the bottleneck when using a large number of scripts in a mission. That reflects on the clients performance as well. I haven't used the option of headless clients yet but perhaps this will help with server performance. This last month my performance has improved a lot with every new build so they are on track. :)
  13. Other possiblity: Miller and his team were responsible for the escalation of the conflict (on purpose). The next campaign episodes will clear this up, hopefully. :) I find it that there's not a lot of opposition (in numbers) for a force that's overseeing the retreat of nato forces.

    So how good is MXSW?

It's a light machine gun (much like the british L86A1 ). So you can carry more 'stuff' than a regular machinegunner whilst still be able to support your comrades with sustained (suppressive) fire. :p

New to ArmA. What to do next?

Try one of the missions with all weapons/vehicles from the steamworkshop (like Sterrapps Armory or Jesters beta showcase). After that, try of one of the singleplayer missions (check the rating of steamworkshop or armaholic SP-missions)

    Development Blog & Reveals

Probably Iranian? Textures look ok, but are these highres?.
  17. No, because their roles are different. The IFV is a troop transport & support vehicles whilst the AT soldier (which should have an assistant with extra rockets btw) is a dedicated 'tank killer'. But that's my opinion. (You don't have to agree ;) )
  18. It's an armored troop transport not a tank. But it has 30mm armor piercing round as well. So no, i do not find it strange. :)
  19. In reply of your question: no, unfortunatly it's not possible to upgrade from standard edition to supporter edition.

    Arma 3 has stopped working

I assume you have Service Pack 2 installed (Vista)? Did you set fixed memory usage for you on-chip videocard? Things you can do: - Check your windows eventlog for clues. - Check your "C:\Users\[uSER NAME]\AppData\Local\Arma 3" .rpt file for clues - Check intergrity of the game cache - Update/downgrade your video drivers - Temporarily disable your firewall or check settings if Arma3 is blocked. (People have known problems with Zonealarm) - Reboot system a few times And last resort options: - Re-install Windows - Buy better computer ;)

    Unable to play ArmA 3

Are you using ZoneAlarm Firewall? Some people reported startup problems when using ZoneAlarm (reboot after uninstall is needed with ZA). Check your Windows eventlog for error messages and check the .rpt in your Arma3 appdata folder (C:\Users\[uSER NAME]\AppData\Local\Arma 3). check http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8569 for some extra tips.
  22. Arma and Windows do use all your memory if needed. Low on memory could mean that your pagefile is too small. Is it set to Windows managed? Check with the Windows resource manager what is using most memory.

Amd and issues to come...(Froggy can add)

    What are your settings in-game?
  24. Perhaps you've set the profile path in your startup parameters?
  25. ozzbik

    Button for fire mode?

Standard it's 'F'. If you'd checked the settings for keyboard you would have found it.. ;)
