  1. I would also like to add my thanks for this mission eggbeast.

    I would ask for one addition, could you include the audio of the Muslim call to prayer to be heard around the city from the mosques?

    I believe it would add to the immersion.

    Also, is there a way to increase the civilian population? I ask because I play the mission by hosting it on LAN locally on my machine.


  2. Well, after a bit of luck and a lot of testing, I can say that the red dot sight for the EGLM does work very well. (In ACE 2 for O.A.) Here is how you employ it:

    Use rangefinder to get range to target,(this is most precise, or you can guess)

    Switch to grenade launcher,

    Hit SHIFT-NUMPAD 0,(this will put your eye in line with the red dot),

    Set the range of your target by using the UP/DOWN ARROWS, (50m increments, shows in the top left of the screen)

    Put the red dot on the target and fire.

    **remember differences in elevation between you and your target will affect your range adjustment up or down.


  3. That error is because the server is expecting the person trying to connect to be in Joint Operations mode. (Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2 combined)

    When they launch the game in Steam, there is a few options as to which version to launch.

    They need to pick the Launch Joint Operations option to stop the error.


  4. You need to confirm that Track IR is "enabled" in OA.

    First, start Track IR,

    Then start OA,

    Then go to options, then controls, then at the bottom of the controls page is a tab labeled Controller, open that and select Track IR and select the enable tab on the bottom.

    That will allow OA to use Track IR. (you need to check that Track IR is set in the controls page as the look left, right, up, down ANALOG)


  5. Wierd, none of the servers I usually play on accept this popular sound mod. (7th Cav, 15th MEU, 506th).

    I put the server key VopSound.bikey in along with the other pbos, but I can't get on any server with VOPs on. (?) Single player works fine.

    Ah, that file is only for the hosting servers... doh!

    Guess they're all boycotting this addon???

    F.Y.I. The 1stinfantry.org #1 server accepts Vop Sounds mod.


  6. Surely there must be an option for the dedicated server to auto kick and ban rampant team killers.

    Just got off the 1st Infantry server where a character named Jon (no relation) went 30+ team kills, with no admin on board.

    If servers are unattended, something has got to be in place to keep the kiddies at bay.

    I am sorry for your negative experience on our server. We do not implement an Auto Ban feature because of the negative aspects mentioned in this thread. We have tripled the number of server admins and are doing our best to add more. This first few weeks seems to be a challenge for many other servers having the same troubles with TK's. I hope you give us another try.
