The fact I time my computer buys in relation to ArmA releases tells me that they're always a bit heavy on the hardware side.

For me it's the Glock 17. It is one of my ambitions to one day burst into a room with my teammate, spot an enemy, have a malfunction, drop to one knee, whip out the glock and finish the enemy with it. Call me childish :p

Surely your mistake is that you didn't realise Arma didn't exist before PR? I would definitely support better VON, because it's the easiest way to bring public server communities together. A large portion of public players remain averse to being on TS. What would be even nice is if VON aimed to fully integrate all the functions of ACRE, as a standard part of the game.

I'm not too happy with current spatialisation. When somebody is speaking to your side, you will only hear them in one ear. It's very unnatural-sounding.

That's public play for you. The best way to savour ArmA is with a clan/team/unit

Found an interesting issue. A person with a Danish keyboard had a fully working and connected setup of ACRE, but he couldn't use the radio. After a bit of searching the issue was helped by going into the acre_keys.hpp and setting the PTT key to 58 (or the corresponding key in the provided lists). So this shout is for all ACRE running danes I guess.

I understand the reason the Squads forum was switched to pre-moderated, but isn't it time we went back to an open model? It's highly inconvenient that you always have to wait for moderator approvement. Couldn't we have a test month to see if people can keep it calm and only post in their own squad's threads?

Looks like a solid set!

I feel a bit sorry for all those mod developers that put much time and effort into it. The majority of the community will switch straight away and their work will be either derelict, or they'll have to spend a considerable amound of time and effort into porting them. As a mod user, I hope that some of A2's key mods make the move swiftly. Take ACRE, which is such an essential gameplay enhancer (so much that I wonder why BIS hasn't just stolen all your work and patched it in), and ACE2 which adds some very good gameplay-enhancing features (The models are cool, but for me it's little things like weapons resting, sight adjustment, the backupsights, the easy ruck system, ballistics that make it into such a great mod (yes even if some of those features have been patched into the game)). These are mods that I would miss when playing a new game.

What version of ARMA 2 are you running?

Perhaps BIS could be persuaded to give the ACE devteam some preview time to port their mods. It's a damn shame that we'll only love it for another year before being swiped up in the fanboy jizzfest that is ARMA 3

This is pretty amazing. Reaching for all the number buttons when commanding AI is a major immersion kill. A simple fix to an annoying problem.
