[ARMA2 OA: 06 Mission from hell = lags like hell]

mine doesnt even run. it ctd after a second or two and is hanging in the taskmanager waiting to get killed by hand.

It certaintly is a mission from hell.

It doesnt matter what settings I use this mission lags like hell must be getting about a constant 5fps. Every other mission is normal fps and same with MP, so its not my specs. But I cant even complete this mission because its framerate is too bad.

Any known issue to fix this please?

tbh at least with BF:BC2 and the like the MP is implemented well and you can jump in and have some good games.

on arma2 MP i found it awkward and tedius and not much fun at all

very good mission so far until i take a photo of the mass grave, it says task completed for evidence and eliminate

then pops up again new task evidence, so take porto and eliminate are greened out as completed and the evidence one is greyed out ?

i restarted the mission and same thing happened again

I just wanted to take my hat off to B.I.S.; I think they are genuinely trying to make this game as enjoyable as possible. The feature that really convinced me to post this was their fix of the mouse smoothing problem, which took no longer than a couple of days.

So, this thread is not intended to become a pissing contest between people who are still experiencing issues, and those who are experiencing less issues, but merely for anyone who agrees that ArmA 2 is overall a good game with the potential to be even better as we help B.I.S. resolve these issues with constructive criticism. We posted our concerns, and they responded.

I'm not trying to wax poetic. Anyone else agree?

i installed this and the game kept freezing for several seconds, i uninstalled it and arma2 original is now also freezing.. guess i will have to reinstall the game :/

once the three times get into the chopper they hover in the air then just stay there and dont move.. any1 know wat to do?

this mission is great a lot better than any of the missions BI done

the mission is a bit hard though for example when I went to the meeting point the village got swamped with AI and had a tough fight getting out with even more enemy following us.. got to the airfield to encounter even more enemy coming from every direction

got pinned down there and lost 5 men.. then ending up getting killed myself not far away from the deal.. had about 25 kills lol was like somethink from bravo to zero :P

the guide is very good, but what really is the point when the campaign sucks and you can never put all that stuff into action in the game..

All we get is 1 mediocre campaign? Only a handful of missions were fun to play, 2-3 were bugged to death and the last mission was just the same thing for hours..

i waited till 5, and chose to go to the cdf lines to call the boat from there.. about 400m from the cdf check point i get auto killed by a rocket launcher....

any1 know how i can skip this mission?

to call the chopper:

0 "Reply" --> 8 "communicate" --> 1 "support" --> "transport"

then click on the map where you want to be picked up from

to get it to take you somewhere

[New to ArmA2 and have some questions?]

I completed the boot camp etc where you tell your team mates to get into the helicopter and it flies off etc but it doesnt tell you how to tell the pilot where you want to fly to..

So in a mission i called support and a helicopter came, I tell the squad to enter the chopter and then its just stuck there i tried using the map and stuff to get it to fly there but no luck :(

maybe some1 would be kind enough to explain how to tell the pilot where you want to be dropped off to?
