Battleship: The film

One of these again, eh? I thought first it's yet another rip-off from asian movies like Space Battleship Yamato but I guess it's not? I'll choose the Yamato over this one... @Raynor: You must be thinking of Gary Oldman, who is the greatest actor? ;)

Indeed. That's how our leaders got tricked to all the bad deals with the "inner circle" card. They are just so easy... Nor calling people names in here..... tut tut..

That part of course is alarming but what I find encouraging about this is that finally the politicians dare to speak their mind. I hope our politicians would stop fearing the next elections and start making decisions.

Konnichiwa JsSushi. What kind of scripts exactly? Are these missions made by yourselves? Note that some mission makers (including me) often disable the possibility to save the mission.

Well, at least it might not end up as a world war this time. The EU will just suffer spontaneous combustion from within.

You mad f%!*@r !!!

I think these lines from Jurassic Park fit in here:
9. This is not that complicated. Check this out: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Mission_Editor:_External From your "My Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\%player%\" path you will find the mission folder and in it the core file (mission.sqm) which can be opened up in notepad if you want. You don't have to know any coding. Those lines in question are made by the game itself when you make a mission.
10. Try this: From mission.sqm file delete these in red between the {} and save the file. class Mission { addOns[]= { "missions_ew", "cacharacters2", "ca_modules_functions", "chernarus" }; addOnsAuto[]= { "missions_ew", "cacharacters2", "ca_modules_functions", "chernarus" }; Then reload it in editor and see if that helps. (Make a backup copy just in case first)
11. More info, please. Are you making the mission with A2 vanilla, OA or Combined? Are you using extra unit addons? That error in question means that you have used assets which the other player does not have in his version. Hint: If you fumble up with some addon units, remember that you can simply edit the unit class by opening the mission.sqm file in notepad and changing it there. Just make sure the mission is not loaded in editor whilst doing it.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

Hi. Could anyone enlighten me about the PS3 version? Mainly that does it have the same enemy scaling annoyance as in Oblivion? I did have that on pc as well and used the mods to eliminate that but this time I'm going for the console version. (My pc ain't working properly and no money for upgrades)

Arma 2 achievements

Hehe, absolutely fantastic list! :D
15. Hmm. time to get out of the trenches guys and accept the fun factor. How ever wrong it is to rape an old franchise with false promises (or openly admitting dumbing down) one has to adjust with different trends. The games are aiming for profit after all. Few devs have the backbone of BIS when it comes to community friendliness. One should not however blame the console players for reducing the "tactical elements" in serious gaming. At least most of the developers seem to be anxious for gaining respect on that agenda. I myself seem to be drifting more and more back to console gaming but the reasons are mainly family oriented. I need a quick vessel to jump in when I have that small amount of spare time in my hands. Just finished Uncharted 3 and it was an experience that will remain a wow factor for years I believe. One suspicious thing about the new RS game is how they manage to handle the internal terrorism thing. Do they really have the guts to dig deep in or will it be another shallow plot that is glued on top? This and more will be revealed at same bat time on same bat channel.

Colonel Gadaffi found

I don't want to celebrate anyone's death on these forums. However, I'm glad that the Libyan people have a chance for a fresh start. I just hope that the ones who gained most under Gaddafi regime won't be on the top positions again.

Yet another remake - The Lone Ranger

This is not actually a remake but I'll have to post this clip from a finnish 1971 "version": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePlJ92oDAQQ&feature=related You won't understand the language but you can see the resemblance  Oh, it is really the funniest movie of all time...

Act of Valor (film)

It's true that no action can save a film if the acting is painful to watch.. Then again, we have some exceptions: http://minorityblog.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/steven_seagal_expressions.jpg?w=470

New Metallica and Lou Reed track

Not impressed. (But I'm more of Anthrax/Megadeth man myself)
21. Well, we all need some brainless fun sometimes and that gap is sure filled nicely by these games. It's like an action series that gets you pumped up once a week and meantime you can just forget about it's existence. I love to keep my pc shut occasionally and just fire up my PS3 and entertain myself. At the moment playing Crysis again with console. However I only play Red Dead Redemption online so I do't have any experience from the COD/MW MP section. I did loan the PS3 version of COD4 from a friend of mine but the fact that it was so over-scripted tube run made me lose interest fast.
22. And we know what comes out of that Gridiron foolishness. Sooner or later some kids loan their dads rifles and go play it live on their neighborhood. Then we have some nice headline again to read... And also: Athletes?? LOL How irresponsible can they get?
23. What ho, community. This is a transfer from an older mission I once made for Panthera. I just switched the playable faction as east.
