Check the percentage use of each core of your CPU at the same time, there's a good chance one of your cores is at 100% usage while your gpu is at 45%, I'm not sure if it'll help but try starting arma with the slash CPU 4 command (can't remember what the command was, just search the forums), if that doesn't help, try telling it to use only 2 cores and see what happensThey all talking about single GPU Cards, so what Core they should check ;)
And my twin GPU Card has on both Cores only 23% usage near Citys and they are always equal in usage. There is NEVER a difference in GPU Core usage on my 4870X2!
The Gameperformance sucks!

Not at all, as you've previously stated you have Vsync on - now, whenever your system cannot achieve 60fps, your framerate will be halved = 30fpsYou could try to use triple buffering, as you are using an Ati card I highly recommend ATT (Ati Tray Tools) for this, so whenever your system is incapable of a steady 60fps your framerate will not drop down to 30 but to 45 instead. Or just turn Vsync off.
There is no Triple Buffer at D3D. Triple Buffering affects only OpenGL Games. With D3D Games you must raise the Prerender Limit to limit the Frame Drops.

Why we cant jump?
I can sprint, but cant jump over a knee high Wall. I have to stop and press V!
Very realistic :rolleyes:
And why can i shoot with a 9mm through armored Glas (Mi24/AH1z)?
And why can the Mi24 be penetrated with simple Handguns? The hole Copter is bulletproofed till 20mm!
The physics in Arma2 are not very relastic!

Its a known bug!

Might be worth a try to disable/enable these settings in the username.arma2profile file (located in my documents/ArmA2 or ArmA 2 Otherprofiles)soundEnableEAX=1;
soundEnableHW=0;
This are the standard settings. To fix the problem he musst disable EAX and could enable HW:
soundEnableEAX=0;
soundEnableHW=1;
works for me!
And if he use VISTA and has a X-Fi, he must install Alchemy and must create a standardprofile.

Wrong Question?
There is FSAA in Arma, isnt it? Fillrate Slider @150% or 200% and we got FSAA.
The Question is: Do we need AA?
Answer: YES!

sorry i dont get what You mean ...i get usually way higher values with ATI than NVIDIA cards ...
it also vary a lot with different drivers and OSes and chipset quality makes huge difference too ...
the bandwith of NV highend gfx cards is higher than the bandwith of the highend ATI gfx cards.
in some cases the pysical bandwith of a lowendcard is much higher than a faster card.
Bantwith is one factor of the speed but only one.
My 4870X2 Bandwith are 749 MB/s up an 3260 MB/s down.
PCIe Test was 5036 and 6779.
I run Crysis @1920*1200 @ultrahigh 4*AA 16*AF with Avarage 36 FPS
I score 3Dmark Vantage with 16256 GPU Score.
So what does the Bandwithtest says in my case?
If you dont know the physical limitations of your Card, the test cant say the result ist good or bad and the tool doesnt know how a modern gfx card work.
Bandwith is only one thing of the gfx card speed!

As he said, anything can be remaped, so yes if you have a Xbox 360 USB controlled for the PC.....Fyi, ArmA flying is better then BF2 :P
In BF2 you have a analog Throttle, this is MUCH more better than in Arma2.
Why we have no analoge speedcontrol in Arma2?
In BF2 i can fly more accurate!

You all know that ATI never get that high Bandwith like NV!?
Its the Bandwirh of the Cardbus, its an physical Limitation. So what are you all doing here?
If you own a ATI Card, most of the Bandwith are ok.
At first you must clear what physical Bandwithlimitation has your Card/Chip and than test it.
Sorry for my bad english!

Yes, can confirm this, but I have no answer how to fix it :(
It seems to me that a lot of people are sort of clueless about what Arma is
in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
