Next to the appartment buildings in cherno.

They just stand there, en the hint (time) isnt comming.
I placed some extra debug hints in the script and it seems to run, but stalls somewhere.
I used OPFOR soldiers, the init on the leader was: nul = [this,300,true] execVM "Garrison_script.sqf";
Also tried to name the leader like L1: nul = [L1,300,true] execVM "Garrison_script.sqf";
Played on Chernarus.

Coudnt get it to work in Arma2Free..

If you can fit it in a nice include file, we can include it in out init and use it on a mission in where and when we want.
Good idea!

Good ideas.. I like to have the possibility to set up my own spawn points, not just around the player.
So we can create some safer zones.. :-)

I removed the zombie dropping the mags, and the error went away.
Also, edited out a lot of weapons, and seems more stable now.
But I got a lot of these:
22:30:01 Server: Object 3:577 not found (message 121) with different numbers.
hi guys -- i just downloaded the free version of Arma 2 (1.10) a few days ago after finding this mission and have been having an absolute blast playing on LAN with my roommate. there are a couple of issues that have popped up though that have dampened the experience and i'm wondering if they are related. the first is that usually when i spawn in or near a town, i will get the following error: no entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgmagazines.17rnd_9x19_glock17. i've also encountered a variation which is almost identical except that it pertains to pellets for a benelli shotgun or something like that. i generally just close this error popup and continue with my game. we were playing this evening however and just as we started to really settle in, the game froze and crashed the instant i attempted to check a zombie for loot. it then happened again perhaps a half hour later.does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? i know there are different guns in the other versions of the game but i definitely installed the vanilla Arma2/free-compatible version of this mission. i wondered if perhaps these zombies had the items that i've received errors for and it's crashing the game when it can't find the items or whatever. it's such a drag to crash out like that and now i'm hesitant to attempt to loot zombies anymore. my roommate receives the same errors but hasn't yet crashed out (though he said he doesn't really loot zombies, only cars). i thought it a bit strange that no one else seemed to have experienced the same issue (or at least i couldn't find where they mentioned it).
thanks for any help!
Same problems here.. error message and crashes.. :-( on Arma2Free.

or check the user missions subforum here, the maker is there too.

Thanks for your scripts and suggestions. Will try it now.
For me its not important that the spawned units die, as they will respawn soon again some where else.

Pefect for my needs! your script together with the functions is just what I need.
Thanks a lot.

I saw DAC and UPSMON, but I need a lightweighted, maybe dumb script.
The reason I want random patrol groups is for the mission I am adjusting to our group needs.
So it must be easy, if you know how to do this... but how ?

BTW, Kylania you have a nice site with a lot of usefull information!

Searched, but couldnt find what I want, but must be easy regarding the replies in a lot of threads.
But I can't, maybe some guru can help.
I want to have respawn a dozen groups of lets say 4 rebels, or resistance men randomly and they patrol around a huge area.
If they have been killed, they respawn on a random different part of the map and start over again.
How easily can this be done ?
-
I was also thinking of spawning vehicles on roads with "this setPos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1, -0.2]; this setdamage 1;this enableSimulation false;"
To make it block some roads, and randomly outside cities.
And if possible, some light switchmoves on the zombies.
I think walkers are much better then the running ones, because they tend to creep up on you due to their slow movement, you wont see them so easily. This way you can have less, but more stealthy by nature.

Hi Gentlemen,
You did nice work! I use it with Arma2Free, version 1.0 and changed the running to walking zombies.
Some suggestions:
- make a mix between running, walking, and crawling zombies (selectable?)
- spawn on the roads stranded cars and busses, preferred wrecks and overturn ones.
- is it possible to spawn a lot of wrecks, and very sparse some usable cars?
- some stranded ships maybe with loot or for athmosphere.
- random spawn delays
Keep up the good work, and awaiting for a Arma2 free updated version.

I have this same going on on mine.. tired of this.
Running the server only in the weekends, it seems the kids have more time.
Googling a bit it seems even Battleye can be hacked by them, so I am gathering trusted users and going to lock it up, or stop hosting all together and play another game.
