    ATC #10 Presentation

    What is ATC about?
ATC is a combined forces TvT campaign that simulates operations between two opposite companies consisting of infantry squads, armored, recon, special forces, logistic sections and air support.
ATC #10 campaign will consist of 4 battles. Standalone battles are also possible.

    Scenario and factions:

    Chernarus 2020

    NATO vs Chedaki

    Main features:

    • Code rewritten

    • Player respawns limited to 2 (3 lives)

    • No vehicle respawn

    • Advanced flight system

    • Equipments with choice possibility (weapons, optics…)

    • Attack-defense system with line-up time different for attack and defense. Two sectors for AO to hold or conquer

    • The attacking side switches after each battle. If side A starts attacking the first battle, side B attacks the second and so on

    • At least 4 players are needed to hold a sector. Below this number, twice as many attackers are needed to conquer it. This means you need to clear the sector as much as you can. Special Forces do not count for sector holding/conquering and vehicles count by one (not by the number of passengers)

    • Benefit system: the Commander has the choice of some extra assets to be chosen in game to enhance strategical choices and variability from one mission to the other. The choice is not shown to the other side

    • Blue-tracking: two vehicles per side function as Communication Center when placed in AO and mark friendly troops as long as the vehicle is not destroyed. Just one vehicle is needed for blue tracking

    Mods:

    CBA_A3; ACRE2; ACE_ATC (ATC10 version, no medical, no javelin); ATC10 mod; RH_acc; CUP_Weapons; CUP_Terrains_Core; CUP_Terrains_Maps 2.0; RHSUSAF; Russian_Helmets_Project and ACE, CUP, RHS compatibilities

    Modset is provided with A3Sync

    Battle day and time:

    Sundays at 19.00 UTC

  3. Arma Tactical Combat (ATC) is a large scale combined arms Team vs Team or better Company Vs Company (it simulates a war between two armies indeed).

ATC is a campaign, a series of battles between two organized factions. Each campaign simulates operations between two opposite forces consisting of infantry squads, armored, recon, logistic sections and air support, reflecting nearly real combat balance, leaded by the respective faction commanders. The goal of each side/faction is to control the majority of the areas in which the map is divided  at the end of the campaign. Each side is formed by alliances between different Units, each Unit will provide combat forces to the alliance according to the Unit specialization. Since 2008 there have been nine editions, to date, almost one edition per year. It involves teamplay, planning and strategy, preparation and training. It is not fast paced, we want to emphasize careful tactics, respawn is very limited and penalizing and there's none for vehicles.
If you want to learn more please visit the website http://www.arma-tactical-combat.com or see the post below in this section!

So my answer to the question: is combined arms pvp possible is yes, it's very possible in a large variety depending on your personal taste, and it's fun! I think it's the best way to enjoy Arma!

  4. ATC #9 Campaign Schedule

    General Meeting

    Sun 25th 20.30 CET (19.30 UTC)

    • The structure/schedule of the campaign will be agreed and discussed where/if needed. Questions welcome of course.
    • Two provisional factions will be announced with the purpose to prepare the general test to be held one week later. The two sides have an entire week to prepare the battle, that because preparation is needed for a good ATC gameplay. We will make a draw to decide who is attacking for the general test.
    • Factions and sides for the test battle are provisional and may change before the start. Final sides are to be announced at least one week before the start of the campaign.

    Mods

    • Mod collections are ready for download and will be published shortly (only mods needed for the first part, maps needed for the second will be added after the meeting).
    • Both A3Sync and Steam collection will be available.
    • Updates/small additions are possible before the start of the campaign, after that mods are definitive. All mods needed, including all maps, will be available and definitive before the start.

    Rules

    • Will be published before the general meeting, in order to allow questions.
    • Rules might be updated if needed before the start of the campaign, after start they are definitive.

    General test

    Dec 2nd, 20.00 CET, 19.00 UTC.

    • We will decide after that if another test is needed

    Actual start of the campaign

    • Will be discussed/agreed in the meeting, likely mid Jan (Sunday 13th)

    Registrations

    • If possible within Nov. 25th (before the meeting) to allow the general test to be performed with the intended player count for the campaign.
    • After that date registrations are still possible for reimplacements.

Thanks to the groups/individuals who registered so far! Hope to meet you all soon and I wish all good luck and to have fun!

  10. We are having troubles with gunner and commander in RHS Abrams having no compass or instrumentation that tells the direction of the gun after 1.70 jets DLC patch. It is very hard then to lead a tank without specific instrumentation. Russian T- series have their specific instrumentation inside the tank so they were not affected by the patch. Anyone has a fix for that? Or suggestion how to fix this in vehicle config? We had no success so far. Help appreciated!
