  1. Arma Tactical Combat is organising large scale PvP Campaigns (90 + players). Starting in 2008 with Arma1, there have been 5 big campaigns (12-15 battles each campaign). The battles are organised through a clear chain-of-command, so you have your task and role and you have to follow orders. The ATC campaigns simulate operations between two opposite companies consisting of infantry squads, armored, recon and logistic sections, and air support, reflecting nearly real combat balance. Each side, or Company, is formed by alliances between different Units, each Unit will retain its Tag and will provide combat forces to the alliance according to the Unit specialization. General Campaign features: First person only, Termal is Disabled, Radar is Disabled. No vehicle respawns, weapon restrictions depending on your role. Each campaign has its peculiar asset and units. For all infos please see the website! Key words: tactics, teamwork, preparation, large scale PvP campaign, fun! We are pleased to announce a final build test for ATC6 Campaign on the new Arma 3 platform. This test will be a full scale battle in anticipation of the upcoming Campaign that will be announced in the next few weeks. All groups willing to participate in the campaign are therefore invited. 2. Rolling Thunder #16, the first one in Arma 3, will take place on Sunday April 19th at 18.30 UTC. For those new to Rolling Thunder, RT (since 2010) is a series of bi-monthly PVP events in which large scale tank oriented battles are simulated, with the aim to have tactical, teamwork orientated, well organized and enjoyable battles. In these battles, tank company versus tank company operations are simulated. Both reinforced tank companies consist of a command element, three tank platoons (3 tanks per platoon), a recon section, a anti-tank section and a logistical element, for a total of 90+ players. Schedule: TS assembly: 17.30 UTC Briefing starts at 18.00 UTC Battle starts at 18.30 UTC TS3 server: vs15.tserverhq.com:6247 no password Gameserver: 78.46.89.184 port 2302. 3. Thanks again! To get ideas on what we did in Arma2 please see this thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?139301-Rolling-Thunder-Large-scale-tank-vs-tank-oriented-PVP-events For videos, plese see this playlist: RHS assets will be available in the next editions!
  4. Thank you Zio Sam. Well this is the very first event in Arma3. So I want to keep the mods as few as possible, to better evaluate server performances. But as usual, each RT battle will have its own tank/units asset, and definitely RHS are on the list for the second or third Arma 3 RT. Still I have to indagate more in-depth the compatibility of AGM with RHS tanks. But I repeat, RHS tanks are in top list!
  5. Presentation I'd like to present you the Italian Arma3 Community Brigata Dispiegamento Rapido (something like Quick Reaction Force). We switched on Arma3 after having played several years on Arma2 ACE+ACRE. Our team has always played the Arma series starting from the first Arma in 2008. We are a realism Unit (MilSim), focused on the simulation of realistic scenarios. We strictly play no respawn and no interface aids (crosshair and so on). The main purpose of the BDR Clan is to simulate military scenarios. Therefore the organization, the moments of play, the chain of command are all inspired to the military reality, but readapted by our team members to the needs of the game - we are not military fanatics but players whose ultimate and definitive objective is ENJOYMENT and getting together. We mostly play homemade missions developed by our mission makers, and we enjoy playing them with a good level of organisation and concentration. We also are founder and/or participate in several Communities whose aim is to enable well organised, large scale operations, both Coop and PvP. Examples are Arma Tactical Combat, Rolling Thunder and SHAPE. You can see some of our operations in our YouTube Channel. Roles availability The clan is mostly an infantry squadron, with specialised SPECOPS roles, depending on the type of mission. However we recently started a project called "Squadron Centauri" aimed to form a mechanised infantry squadron. The squadron has his own patch that you can see here: Rotorcraft pilots are also used to ensure safe transport to active squads. Schedule Regarding our schedule, we play almost every day depending on presence, internal missions start usually at 21:00 CET (Central Europe Time, UTC+1) (UTC+2 during Daylight Saving Time). A few solid points throughout the week: Monday is dedicated to training (Centauri Squadron training). Wednesday is our official internal mission day Sunday id dedicated to multi-clan events (Joint ops or PvP/TvTs) We are of course flexible about time and day of the operations, especially team vs team and multi clan sessions. Language We obiously speak mainly Italian in our internal operations, and English in the Joint Ops and multi clan events. Servers and repositories We have a dedicated machine hosting a number of Arma 3 servers, public and private. The TeamSpeak server is hosted elsewhere by a professional service (we have 80+ people during intl events and no problems). If you want to join us here is a link to our TS -> vs15.tserverhq.com:6247 no password We have a BDR repository for our addons and mods both on PWS and Arma3Sync. You will find instructions on how to download our repo in our Arma3 STARTER GUIDE (see link in the website) Recruitment Recruitments are open. We are looking for mature, dedicated players that share with us our enthusiasm and committment, and our willingness. We're not looking for any particular skill, what we value is the person. So, if you want your stats to reflect your awesomeness at the end of the mission... you're not for us. If you love getting results when you heavily commit, then you're right for us! If you want to feel part of a team, learning how a FireTeam covers, protects, assaults, then you're right for us! If you recruit with us, you will be followed by our Instructors that will give you some training sessions. Also, we have several GUIDES for beginners and advanced specialisations. But you can always come and play with us as a guest without any special committment. If you like our way of playing, you are welcome then to recruit with us. TEAMvsTEAM Interested in challenging us? There is a section on the public forum just for that, you're welcome! CiA Petition Letter to BIS and DnA's Response

I would sign this petition letter as well if possible. Thanks CiA for exposing clearly what should be improved/fixed and thanks DnA for replying. Hope the matter can be addressed by BIS and Arma3 could maintain the Arma2 standards (and even better ones hopefully).
  14. Info on the next event (battle #11): Sides: U.S. Army vs Russian Ground Forces Date: Wednesday September 11th Participant assembly time: 18:15 GMT Event start: 19:00 GMT End of event: 21:00 GMT Use this tool to calculate your timezone difference http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc Scenario (fictive): Reshmaan province, somewhere between Iranian-Afghanistan border, September 2015 20 years before the events that culminated with the invasion of Turkey and some Greek Aegean islands by Iran, Tehran's aims were directed towards its eastern border, and in particular the neighboring countries Afghanistan and Pakistan, which much later would have fallen under its influence. The relations between these countries had always been controversial. Linked by cultural, religious and ethnic reasons they were divided by geopolitical interests. The tension was high particularly in the province of Rehesman, and culminated in a local conflict that rapidly expanded. The U.S. felt forced to intervene and Russia, which always had interests in the region, felt forced to act in turn. On the morning of September 11th, 2015, elements of the Russian 4th Guards "Kantemirovskaya" Tank Brigade made their first contact with elements of the U.S. 1st Armored Division. The observers at the time believed the battle of Reshmaan would have been decisive for the future stabilization of the region but that was just the beginning… Registration / slot reservation is required to be able to participate on this battle. For those players / groups who want to ensure their spots, I recommend not to wait too long as a "first comes, first served" policy will be applied. For all further info regarding game concept, registration, battle details, required addons, etc etc I refer to the website.
  15. BDR Fifth Anniversary Tournament BDR Team is celebrating the fifth year of activity. We felt it would be nice to celebrate with a peculiar and unconventional tournament, based on a MilSim mission developed by our mission maker Flipper. In the mission you have to play the role of a SAS squad which has been sent in Chernarus to infiltrate the area under Chedaki control. Their task is to achieve as much objectives as they can. The mission is a PvP, the Chedaki role is counter-interdiction, they should control their territory, prevent enemy infiltration, guard strategical areas, prevent the SAS to accomplish their mission, find and destroy the Blufor squad. The tournament is structured as follows: Type of tournament: Milsim Game: Arma2 CO + ACE and ACRE Mission: Excalibur Mission details: (For complete details + pictures plz see here ) Tournament Structure: The tournament will require 4 groups. Each group is formed by a 6-member squad. The tournament will last in total 4 weeks and the missions are played weekly for a total of 4 missions. Each group, in turn, plays once as BLUFOR Team (SAS = Sabre). Only the Blufor squad will gain points (obj achieved). The other 3 groups will play as Redfor team. The Redfor team will consist therefore of 6x3=18 members. Their task is to counteract the Blufor team and to prevent them from achieving their objectives. At the end of 4 weeks, the Blufor team with more obj achieved wins. Mods: ACE, ACRE, (last version, available via Six Updater/Play with Six) ST_ACRE (optional) SJB SAS Pack L119A1 Pack : http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?126168-L119A1-Pack Date of start: to be decided with the participating groups. We are atm 5 international groups (BDR, CSF, Zulu-Alpha in Blufor side). 18. Dear all, As Dutch said, I am going to take his place as RT admin and organizer. I am glad and honoured to carry on this project. I know it is not an easy task, but my commitment is to maintain the high standards for these events. My experience as Arma Tactical Combat main organizer as well as Rolling Thunder server host and as regular participant with my group (BDR) in the previous RT events will help with that. My intention is to maintain the RT key features of accessibility to both newcomers and professional tankers, individuals and groups, participation and quality event organization. Rolling Thunder will of course continue to deal with Tanks, Teamwork, Simulation and Fun. The format will be the one we know from the previous battles. The scenarios will be changing per event, as usual. Currently, I’m exploring some ideas. I do not have a date yet for the next event, but you will be informed timely as things proceed. Please keep an eye on the RT website. For those who were connected to RT, I hope you all will continue your precious support to the Rolling Thunder community. With best regards, Nemesi RT admin

  20. Adversarial MilSim Contest, Challenge Opening Hello All We (BDR Clan) are a realism Unit dedicated to the Arma series (Arma2 and 3). We use ACE and ACRE mods for our custom missions, and for this reason we mainly stick on Arma2:CO atm. We are opening an Arma2:CO Adversarial MilSim Contest based on custom missions created by our mission makers (mainly BDR Flipper). Adversarial, because they are PvP missions. MilSim, because the missions reflect and simulate as far as possible real operations. If you are interested in the challenge simply post here your interest, (or here) and we will arrange. You can contact me directly in TS3: vs15.tserverhq.com:6247 - no password required. The contest could be in the form of standalone missions or tournament-style, depending on the number of groups involved. Looking forward to meeting you in game! OPERATION ZENOBIA Cover image:http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg600/scaled.php?server=600&filename=opzenobya.png&res=landing Background An important load of weapons from Syria, destined to feed the war in Takistan forced the Western border of the country. The attack at the border was claimed by a Syrian guerrilla group calling themselves "Palmyra's Sons". Their goal is currently unknown, we assume they traffic in weapons stolen to the Syrian regular army, in exchange for oil and rough diamonds. Our Intelligence has located the arms shipment en route to the capital, Zargabad, transported by two civilians trucks, within a few hours they will reach their destination. The Task Force Aureliano is sent in the area to locate and neutralize the loads before they are exchanged with local insurgents and with the disbanded former Takistan regular army. If they fail, this would cause an increase in the intensity of the guerrilla and a strong delay in the stabilization of the whole area. MISSION DETAILS REQUIRED ADDONS: ACE; ACRE; ZENOBIA PACK MISSION CREDITS: BDR Flipper OPERATION EXCALIBUR Cover image: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/937/excaibur.png Features: peculiar, asymmetrical and unconventional PvP, Mil-Sim (Military Simulation). The mission reflects and simulates real SpecOps operations. The Blufor side plays as a S.A.S. squad (SABRE), while the Red faction play as Chedaki soldiers and militians. Both sides must role-play! Aim of the Blufor is to collect as much information as they can, their task is not to engage and kill the enemies but to accomplish their objectives. The Redfor task is counter-interdiction, their duty is to control their territory, prevent enemy infiltration, guard their strategical areas, prevent the SAS to accomplish their mission, find and destroy the Blufor squad. For these reasons the Blufor side has no respawn (revive only and limited lives), while the Redfor do have respawn (in the Redfor base). Redfor have also allied AI with patrolling and spotting purposes. 21. While playing a large scale PvP (about 87 players), we had a freeze on server. The game was running fine and smoothly since suddenly, after about 1 hr game, everything froze and the server stopped sending infos (no chat, no monitor, nothing), but the server did not crash and we had only a yellow chain, nothing more. Here the server .rpt file, with tons of lines "server Object 128:27 not found (message 132)" https://rapidshare.com/files/2947545780/arma2oaserver.rar Something very similar to what reported here https://dev-heaven.net/issues/27001 Any idea or possible solution? Thanks.
