For guns that use multiple types of rounds, you can wiki the gun/ammo to see what it does exactly, if that's what you're looking for.

I really wish BIS had done a proper M203 leaf sight system like AA3.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 should be it.

Any chance of doing the MV-22, Robert? I'd love to have a sound other than the, imo, bad current one. (though the current may be realistic, I dunno)

I love em. Thanks Robert.

Did you ever find a way around this, or anything? I had barely done anything (blew up the offices, had just cleared one of the two checkpoints) and all of a sudden it gives me this. I hadn't even been leading. This seems like a really cool mission, other than this huuge problem.

First, I hope this is in the right section. Unsure if I should put this here or config editing or something like that. Admins feel free to move it of course.
But what I want to ask is : Can anyone tell me how exactly to go about making a unit out of already existing parts in A2? I want to add a Russian MVD Operator that has medic abilities like any other medic unit, but I'm not sure how to go about this. I think it should be rather simple to change the normal Russian medic to use the MVD model and then just make it a new unit, but as I said I have little idea how to do this.
Anyone willing to help?

Agreed, small problem but still very annoying and could get very frustrating quick. Especially with the two new channels.

Doesn't matter what harddrive/partition. Got my ArmA 2 on my large partition Vista was originally on, while using the smaller partition for Win 7 RC.

Tactical Gamer is excellent for a fairly laid back server where teamwork/communication and maturity are a must. They don't have their ArmA 2 server up yet, though, it should be up soon. They have had a good bit of events lately where the only requirement is going on the forums and signing up for it, but even just that gets most if not all of the little bad you can get with the server public like it is the rest of the time. Makes some great games.
Heard lots of good about Kelly's Heroes though, I just found Tactical Gamer first because I was recommended it immediately after getting ArmA.

Q6600 on default 2.40GHz clock
eVGA GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition (186.08 Beta drivers, got worse performance on both 182 and the non-beta 186)
4 Gigs of 800 DDR2
7200 RPM 750 Gig Seagate (Barracuda I think, not sure though)
Windows 7 X64 RC
Other irrelevant stuff
Textures/Video Memory/Post Processing on High with everything else on normal.
~15 to ~50 FPS in Campaign (mainly Razor Two/Manhattan) when I was playing on 1.01 Final. (Haven't played lately, waiting for my Steam version rather than installing 1.02 on my German.) I'll report back when I get my Steam/1.02 version on Friday/Saturday.

I've had this happen sometimes worse than at other times but not all the time, I'm not really sure what it is.
1911 seems especially bad.

Awesome, I love toying with the configs and playing this SP on ArmA 1. Good work as always. Can't wait for my Steam version of A2 to unlock.

Using a EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 on Win 7, I actually got worse performance on the 182.50 then on 186. No idea why. Can't wait for driver optimization and some added performance from patches, as otherwise I love this game.

Yes I have, thats why I ask. Some games from Steam, like Fallout 3, does not work with all mods.Have YOU not used Steam before?
I'll wait before I buy a Steam version if I can't get a boxed copy just to make sure.
I got Fallout 3 on Steam shortly after release. I followed the modding scene very closely between then and February '09. Since then I've wanted to replay Fallout 3 occasionally and looked at basically every mod on Fallout 3 Nexus over again. The only mod I remember not being supported on the Steam version was FOSE. And it ended up being supported later anyway.
I also have ArmA 1 on Steam and every mod I've used works 100%, and I can't really see why one wouldn't. The only real difference between a retail and Steam copy of a game is the exe (that being mainly copy protection stuff) I'm pretty sure, so I can't really see any problems.
I wish that ArmA 2 was coming retail to NA though, I really hate having to download games every time I reinstall.

DMRs are a great middleground between MK12s and M24/M40. Semi-auto, 20 round mag, 7.62x51, range of 600-800m.

Hey Kimmeh, I played with you on the TacticalGamer server quite a few times and just wanted to wish you the best of luck. Would join but I wont for various reasons. Hope to see you again sometime.

For Arma, can you still press "Shift+Tab" and open the Steam Overlay? It makes opening my friends list and chatting much easier. If you start up through Steam, you can. If you start up through Steam with a shortcut to another .exe, or a shortcut to the arma.exe you can. If you don't you can't of course though. I actually have ArmA running through a shortcut to arma.exe so I can have a seperate shortcut for ACE/beta patch or no ACE/beta etc.

In my experience sometimes you do sometimes you don't. You don't for ArmA 1 or Fallout 3 for Steam I do know. Hopefully it'll be the same as ArmA 1. Lemme test some of the other non-Valve games I've got on Steam to see if they do the same. It may be virtually all other than the Valve made/Steam exclusive ones.
EDIT: Well, Fallout 3 and ArmA start without Steam running, but Unreal Tournament 3, Lost Planet and Splinter Cell Double Agent won't. I started up Steam and UT3 ran from the .exe, not going through Steam though. I bet everything will work fine, though you may have to have Steam running.
Oh, and you can set up startup parameters through Steam with ArmA 1 fine.

OTHER than the problems with the AK ironsights, and the fact I don't quite understand how Kobras work, I think they're fine.
