The movement feels clunky. It is definitely improved over arma 1 though. Still improvement's always nice

1. Playing on steam is pretty much the same, files just go to a directory under steam, I play steam and you should know you have to install the latest patch without steam. Its almost exactly the same no problems.
2.There are a mixed bunch, be sure to join a clan, its not the same without doing so. And get ACE MOD, find it at armaholic
3. There's not many public servers used, only around 10, on weekends they usually have lots of players though.
4.Just join a clan, its pretty much the only way to fully enjoy, idk about any tournaments at the moment though.
5.Operation arrowhead is a standalone game.
6. ME!!! :)

Hmm, you've got a good system, judging by your CPU and GPU. However, if you're going to upgrade your CPU, you also have to replace your motherboard and RAM, just like No Use For A Name said. A Q9300 should be enough for Arma II!If you're serious about upgrading, I'd go for the GPU. You didn't mention how much RAM you have, though...
Well i have like 6 gb ram so im sure that that isnt a problem, Also my resolution is 1440x900, and I am running Vista 64 bit.
I cant even get better than 25 fps no matter what quality settings, on very low i get a max of 25 fps and average 17 and same with very high. Its frustrating!:mad_o:

My current cpu is: Intel Quad Core Q9300 2.5ghz
My current gpu is: Nvidia 9800 gt

here in the us the date is set for the 26 so the UK date must be the 19, you guys are way closer than we are to bis unless of course they want it all at once

trackIR is awesome i use them for my air combat sims to, they work great is it worth it to upgrade to the trackIR 5, i have 4 and I just got them like 9 months ago

they definitely need more types of night vision goggles

arma 2 is so much harder to spot people because the foliage and textures of the environments are way better and people more easily blend in cause of their camo which is good except the AI aren't effected by it and can see you easily. I like how you can finally hide behind bushes now though =]

in arma 1 the m4 and m16 were just as strong because the ammo was the same which definately needs to be fixed for arma 2

its not sexist, most gamers are male, especially action games, and making female animations and modeling takes to long and bis doesnt have enough time for it, im sure that modders will make something and actually most games have no playable female characters
