  1. If your able to lock on a target by pressing tab you will get a square, a circle will appear if the target is within firing range and you have a lock, the circle will grow darker if you have a more solid lock.

  2. I was on a server recently and there was this guy who was flying a A-10 and getting a massive amount of kills without landing to reload, when I went into this plane after he left the game, I found that he had more ammo on it then if I where to get a brand new A-10. Like for example his GAUs where 4/8 meaning 4bombs ready and 8sets of 4 in reserve, and his 30mm cammo was 1000/2 and marviks 2/7 and etc for rockets. How did he setup that loadout for his A-10? When I went to a jetservice station everything in his plane got reset. Is it a hack or a cheat or script of some kind? Thanks.

  3. Hey guys,

Just bought myself this new system. How do you think it will Run ArmA 2? Around what settings? And who has a similar system and what are you running ArmA 2 at?

    CPU: Intel i7-920 @ 2.66Ghz

    Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe

    Ram: GSKill DDR3 9-9-9-24 6gb Kit

    Video-Card: Asus 1gb GTX 285

    Monitor: Asus 22" VW224 2ms Monitor

    OS: Windows 7 64bit RC

    What do you reckon guys?

    Thanks

That's a good system, can you overclock your CPU for even more speed! I have my i7 920 @ 3.6Ghz.

  4. Hello people, first post on this forum :)

Ok my system will be able to play the game yes? but was wandering if any of you would have an idea how well it will run. Would love to be able to enjoy the graphics with decent FPS, i dont mind some minor lag now and then...

    Ok heres the stats:

    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz

    Memory: 3582MB RAM DDR2 800Mhz

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (slightly overclocked, special boxed BFG edition)

    Operating System: Windows XP

    Motherboard:GeForce6100SM-M

Am really looking forward to the game, buying operation flashpoint for £5 was one of my better game choices and am excited about playing a similar modern title. :D

    Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I had a similar system to yours 2 days ago. AMD Opteron 165 @2.6ghz, 4GB DDR 400mhz, ATI 4850, Vista64. It was playable at 1600x1050 normal settings. Then I got a Intel I7 920 with 6GB of DDR3, and new motherboard, the FPS went up 3x. It's been 4 years since I had a new system, so I guess it was time to upgrade, it's still good for all other games today, but ARMA2 really does take alot of power.

I will upgrade my video card when the DX11 cards come out in the fall, I am hearing that they are 2-3x faster than the current generation of cards. I was going to get another 4850 so I can crossfire my cards, but it seems that ARMA does not support SLI or Crossfire at the moment so I did not get another card.

My AMD Opteron 165 was the best bang for the buck back then. It could be overclocked to 2.6ghz which is basically a $1000 processor. I am doing the same for the I7 920 as soon as I get a good after market heatsink/fan to put it up to at least 3.8-4ghz which is faster than the best Intel $1000+ processors out there in the market.

  5. Upgraded my CPU, motherboard & RAM. Score went from 1500 to 4700! Old system was a AMD Opteron 165 @2.6ghz aka X2 3800+, 4GB DDR1. I ordered the 2nd best AMD config, but I canceled it at the last min because looking at the results here told me to go Intel, and it was only $200 more. I figure I will be overclocking it to a $1000 processor spec so it's worth it. When I got my AMD Opteron 165, that was the best bang for the buck 4 years ago, it was a $350 processor, but I overclocked it to a FX60 a $1000 processor, I hope this one last me another 4years. I was going to drop another $150 for another 4850 so I can crossfire it, but seeing that ARMA II doesn't play well with multi-GPU setups, I decided to wait for the DX11 cards coming out this fall.

  6. I am currently running a AMD Opteron 165 1.8ghz @2.25ghz, 4GB of DDR1, ATI 4850 and I just put in a order on newegg for a new cpu/mobo/ram. On my limited budget I am getting a AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE, Biostar 790 chipset motherboard, and 4gb of DDR2 1033. This total setup cost me about $300, I was thinking about a Intel 920 combo, that that will run me for about $700, and looking at the reviews of games and gaming benchmarks, there isn't much of a difference between those processors. So that leaves me with more money for a new GPU, probably a DX11 ATI or Nvidia one that are coming out this fall. They promised DX11 cards for the windows7 release which will be in October.

EDIT: Okay I just broke down! I went on newegg and ordered a AMD Phenom2 X4 940BE with mobo and new ram. $400 out the door. I was thinking about getting another 4850 to crossfire, but I think I will wait til the DX11 cards that will be coming out in the fall. The Intel 920s are good, but I can't justify the price on their motherboards and DDR3.
