  1. Combat boat 90 FTW. :) That one would be sweet although tons of details on it. Animated front and be able to take units for fast island deployment. Oh that would be very schweet.

    Fast island deployment^^:

He almost made the parkingspace... http://www.nt.se/img/2009/8/22/5468446.jpg

I would love to see stridsvagn S (s-tank), a favorite...

The only tank that's take a dump when it fires ;)

    Or this tank

  2. It's a further enhancement of the same engine they've been building for a while. Does everytime they make an enhancement mean the previous version was a beta?

    True, i stand corrected...

Edit: But why cant they enhance the current engine and bring that into AH, i mean just the AH content alone is worth my money (even if i just seen some glimpses).

  3. [quote name='W0lle;1413861

Will they somehow automate the inlcusion of ArmA II content for those that have it to encourage people who own it that Arrowhead will be just a huge expansion pack for them?

Jennik: This is difficult to say now' date=' as Arrowhead will feature a newer and enhanced version of ARMA 2 engine.

    [/quote']

I thought Arma 2 was the enhanced engine!? Feels like buying beta products from this company, again...

  4. I love the idea of having regular updates to fix peoples issues with the game. But I probably speak on behalf of many Steam users when I say that I hope that patches aren't too regular. Unless Bohemia Interactive and Steam can somehow tune the patching system with ARMA2 over Steam. The last 134MB patch cost us Steam users around 4.5GB. I would not want to see this happen too often. My monthly internet bandwidth is 20GB (Shared upload/download). :banghead:

p.s. Thanks for the update by the way Placebo. Always nice to hear news on what we can expect with the game. :ok:

What he says, with emphasis on updates for steam, that must be improved! And cheers for info!

  5. Super clocked just means the card has been super clocked by EVGA. There is no setting super clocked per say. The clocks are fixed in the card unless I manually change them with a EVGA precision or some other overclocking utility.

The memory is already under clocked. Its rated to run at 2000MHZ also. Unless you mean run my memory at the i7's stock memory controller speed of 1333mhz?

Ok, thought super clocked meant I did it myself very custom-custom.

Do this test. Download Evga Precision, to monitor gpu temps and fps, if you not already done that. Then start arma with -world=empty and monitor the temps and fps just standing in the Arma meny.

I get ~240FPS and my temps start to rice fast. Check how far you get until you BSOD . My limit is ~78C, on both cards, then i get lockups/CTD's. BSOD usually is hardware failure, haven't had those yet. If you dont BSOD in the menu, try set stock memory speed and retry you BSOD scenario.

BIS should really enforce a FPS limiter when in the menu...

  6. because in game VOIP is still not working properly

What is wrong with it? The only concern i have with it is that you cant create your own groups, if the mission dont have that feature. And that very few/none uses it. Could it be that it takes resources away from the game if eveyone uses it!? Think its a mystery, VOIP is essential when using vehicles.

  7. Greetings

Is there a server where people actually use voice chat, or even text communication? I have been playing crCTI alot and i really enjoy it ALOT! The only problem is that there is no team work, people just steal others stuff and go around zerging the villages without any plans.

If i happen to be the commander, i like to micro manage each player. I ask what they would wish to do and what sort of equipment they are considering and what sort of experties or experience they have, based on this i would send them funds and give them right mission, but NO these guys dont listen.

    1. I give them 20k for a chopper and tell them to guard the coast line, and these idiots fly straight in to the enemy base where they get instantly shot down. I told this guy to be in the coast because i had made sure there was no antiair in the area, and refuel + support base was near in the island that i had setup. I clearly explaned this to the pilot.

    2. In other case, i tell the player to give me 7k money from his 30k stack to fund other player that is new and needs a tank to patrol stary sobor, the player refuses and tells me that he earned the money and plans to save it for a jet if the current one gets blown. I try to explane to him that this is a team game and i need to funds for this other player, and im the commander so give me the fucking money.

This player was a good pilot, but not a team player. This made me mad and i really got pissed. I didnt kick him out, maybe i should have.

    3. Also, sometimes (tho rarely) there is a team killer that blows up our base, tho this is very rare, but very annoying if you have been playing the same mission for 5 hours.

I have only been in 3 games, where people planned everything and it was the greatest gameing experience in my whole life, even when i was commanded to put mines around a village and it was bit tendious. Tho, it payed of when the enemy arrived 30 mins later.

In one game our team was a dream team, 1 player was very experienced and was our commander, it was 5 vs 12 and we won being only team of 5 with a good team work and excellent commander.

So my conclusion is i need to rent a locked server and find people to play in it that like team work and plan their attacks. This is a game that rewards patience, not rushing and most people dont get it.

Anyone have any info on good server, maybe a clan or something i could join so i dont have to rent a server cause im bit sort on money. I just got laid of from my work because the company was not doing well, so i need to be careful with my money.

Any ideas, suggestions or own experiences`?

    Fintroll

Have to agree, its damn hard finding a game where you feel like your in a unit/army/squad.

Why do people still use teamspeak instead of in-game VOIP? And when they do, use TS, they can absolutely not answer back in the in-game VOIP...

  8. I am sure, if it is something I am sure of it is that, becouse I did a shift+delete on my steam folder after I uninstalled arma 2 and steam.

But that wont remove your configs and savings in "C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents\Arma 2 Other Profiles" (windows 7)... You can rename the Arma 2 folders as they will be recreated if missing.

  9. the fireteam's heads were all pure white

I had this when running SLI on XP with NVIDIA SLI Patch for Arma 2, once i installed the latest drivers (dont remeber version) it went away. I see you are using AMD/ATI so this solution wont work for you, but you might want try different drivers as a last resort...

  10. All this kind of complains about bugs'n stuff makes me wonder why people always blame the game? I have Radeon card myself and I havent had problems like this. So if one person has it i strongly doubt its the games fault. Or maybe i just havent played this game enough to see all these.. Atleast I havent occured any critical bugs.. like missing soldiers etc.. But I can admit that sometimes textures load too slowly, but that cannot count actually a bug.

Haven't seen any mayor bugs myself, however game performance could be better I think. But there you go, in PC-world every person has a unique setup/attitude to maintain there system, and this is the troubleshooting section. Just hope people know when testing new patches they need to reset there custom configs and remove any mods....

  11. A hardcore flight sim has more stuff to keep track of CPU wise.

As I understand it, the CPU in this game is not utilized enough, read that from another expert like you in theses forums...

I find it disturbing that customers need to install a non supported OS to get this game to work properly! However a newly installed OS always give you some performance so I wouldn't hit the drum for buying W7 just yet. I didn't notice any mayor gains in performance going from a 2 year old XP installation to W7.

You are right. Flashing graphics are often a consequence of your graphics card running too high temperatures. At least that is the case with me. I got temperatures of 90°C while playing ArmA II yesterday (32°C outside).

I've opened my case and put a wind mill to blow into it. Of course the temperature dropped and the graphic glitches were gone in ArmA II. I've played at least 5 hours today.

Maybe this could be of use for some of you.

Also people have a tendency to do there own "tweaks", not uncommon that fan speed is lowered. Then after reinstalling (all back to default) they think something magical has happened.
