If you're defragging, use either stealth defrag, or only defrag once a month. Doing a full defrag every few days drastically reduces the life of your hard drive

Sound issues seem to be fixed, 5.1 sounds great now. Performance is still meh.

Download version has an activation limit of 3, no way to deactivate an installation.

Gamesplanet/Metaboli says just contact customer support if you hit the limit, but no idea how pain free that really works.

You can read up on what triggers an activation and what not on the Securom page (it's a weird scoring system).

Personally I would prefer the activation thingy over dvd-check every time I want to play IF there was a way to deactivate so one doesn't run out and has to face the uncertainty of not being able to play the game in the future.

Setting my speakers to quadrophonic in the windows control panel fixed the sound for me. I can even switch back to 5.1 or headphones with the creative audioconsole and it stays ok, which is weird because it's synched with the windows settings.

and on most of systems depending on number applications / work <75µs stable

with various spikes only when something intensive is going

if your system shows different values or random / looping spikes then Your system gunna have perf issues with realtime data streams

With music, browsing and some other stuff it stays below 100µs here. Guessing an average of ~50.

PCIe looks quite shitty though:

There is a trick with gamesplanet/metaboli. Just log in and klick the send e-mail information button on your gameinfo page. That way you will get your key instantly - just like they advertise it - instead of waiting for ages until they finish their 'security check'. ;)

Got the same problem with my Gamesplanet/Metaboli Download.

A friend gave me his key for testing and it works, so the game files are fine.

They really ship bad keys! :mad:
