Hey! I just got my HD4890 and i will tell you about the problem. In a 24man CTI server i have about 26fps with high/med settings with these specs
Sapphire HD4890
Intel C2D E8400
Asus P5K
Nexus 600 power
4gb of 800hz kingston memory.
Have i installed my HD4890 wrong? I linked 8 to 4pin cable(it is plugged in CPU2 and PCI-e2 slot) and a 4pin cable from my psu to my HD4890, because it needed 2x 4 pin cables. Thanks for answers and hopefully you understood my problem

Nexus 8060Watt Powersupply
4GB DDR2 800Mhz Ram
Asus P5K motherboard
I am going to buy later an asus p6t mobo, core i7 920 and 4gigs of 1333hz memory ddr3

When I get the core i7 920 is it more powerfull than regular intel Q series or do i need to overclock it so it will become better than because it is only 2.66mhz per core. I am new at these things. Thanks

Depends on a card. Nvidia and ATi have their own good and bad cards.

So i need DDR3 thanks for info, is gtx285 much better than hd4890?

I am thinking about which Graphics card should i pick from these to play arma2. XFX HD4890 or XFX GTX285(this is much more expensive) And i will consider buying another HD4890 for crossfire after i bought my new components.
The graphics card will come with Asus p6t motherboard and intel core i7 920, and could you tell will my DDR2 800mhz ram work with p6t mobo?
