  1. I just made my own mission with dozens of friendly and hostile units and had a massive and chaotic battle.

Yes, I realized it would be wise to make my own mission with tons of units than wait for the imaginary patch unlikely to be released.

  2. You have just inspired me to pick up Operation Flashpoint again! :D

Yeah, OFP had satisfactorily many enemy units to kill.

What ArmA 2 urgently needs for the proper gameplay is not fixing trifling bugs, but adding much more enemy units to the missions.

  3. But seriously, this is not about killing enemies. To me it's more about trying to survive. There's also an excellent editor which allows you to create your own missions with your desired number of enemies. Check it out, though you'll probably find out that more enemies equals smaller chance of surviving.

More enemies will definitely make the game more challenging and hard to beat.

But current game doesn't give me much of a challenge due to lack of enemy units. That's what I think.

You might want to tell what mission you're playing.

    Dogs of War.

  4. Is it just me who thinks there are too few enemy units?

Every village is so empty that all I do is just standing next to strong point to capture it. Nothing more, nothing less.

This kind of game is mostly about killing enemies, but they are rarely seen in this game.

  5. no, resistance fighters dont get t80s. resistance fighters dont destroy the russians in tank battles.

    What are you talking about?

I said the STORY of Resistance(expansion pack) was unmatched.

  6. In OFP : - they followed the leader's stance better and there was no "stand up and run 5 meters front and back" phenomenon which is plaguing ArmA II atm

Whenever I run or drive fast, they always lose me, and start finding me like crazy where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? where are you? I'm bored to hear that.

  7. You can also play any of the multiplayer Warfare maps solo by just hosting your own server as a LAN game if you want. I suggest the doing that since you don't respawn in the single player versions (instead you have to reload your last save).

    It's precious info. Thanks!

  8. You mean the T-90? Ya its nice, especially the barrel fired atgm. I would say the ka-52 because its extremely mobile, but the nostalgia of the mi24 can't be beat.

Oh my mistake. Yes, T-90. I also like ka-52 because of its mobility, although its armor is rather weak.

  9. Thank you guys for detailed reviews. As for me, I feel both satisfied and disatisfied with the game. I cay say I'm satisfied as far as techincal issues are concerned because the game ran quite well on my machine without serious problems. But I'm truely disatisfied with some of the gameplay mechanisms because they are so inefficient and time-wasting, e.g. static weapon with no gunner, units available only at HQ. They are not bugs, but developer's absurd decision. Besides that, I think it's far better than its predecessor in all aspects and in that it reminds me of OFP. So I can safely say ArmA 2 will become the best military shooter if some wrong gameplay mechanisms are fixed so that the game uses its maximum potential properly.

  10. I'd like to see a mod that makes the static weapon automatically manned when built by player. As you know, the static weapon has no gunner whenever you build it, which is so unreasonable and non-understandable.

So I want a talented modder to make a mod to fix the disastrous game mechanism.

    Thanks in advance.

  11. 1. Make it available to buy units at outposts.

Now the game allows you to buy units only at HQ. It's very inconvenient because you have to go back to HQ to buy units whenever they are killed. It will be very convenient if it's possible to buy units at outposts as well as HQ.

    2. Make the static weapon manned automatically when player builds it.

Now whenever you make static weapon, it's always empty, so that you have to buy units at the HQ and take them to every static weapon and order them to get in it. It's so inefficient and time-consuming. The static weapon should be automatically manned when built by player for the efficient gameplay.

This game has so many potentials and much room to improve. To make the game pefect, you MUST realize those unrealized potentials.

Keep up the good work. And thanks for the great game. :)
