    Enemy Accuracy way to good.

From the few times I've played ArmA as 'deathmatch', I'd say AI is somewhat more accurate and aware than the average ArmA player.
  2. The start is nothing. Wait till you get to the Warfare missions.
  3. Obstacles are still a huge problem with 1.01. Supply trucks just ram into the HQ/whatever until they blow up. Convoys on roads are slow but seem to get there eventually.
  4. Try emailing their customer service asking for a cd-key. When I bought it from gamesplanet.com it said I would have to wait 8 hours for the cd-key. I sent them an angry email demanding that they give me the cd-key immediately. I was playing 20 minutes later ;)

    Badland Mission Not Ending

I was doing that mission yesterday. I took the four towns but the mission didn't end either. I'm going to try doing the other two optional tasks today.

    German 1.01 Patch is final.

AI vehicle pathfinding remains awful. Also, I spent a few hours playing the campaign and got a out of virtual memory crash, but this doesn't bother me as much as the AI.

Hi command in single player mode

Doesn't work for me either. I select the units, then 'send units', but all I get is an empty menu. Would be nice to know how to make supply trucks work as well. This mission is also very frustrating because the supply trucks have terrible pathfinding. When something gets in the way they just hump it indefinitely. Once I got run over by a supply truck, another time it humped the HQ so long it blew up.

Hi command in single player mode

I'm wanna know how to create squads as well. As for empty vehicles you can buy them with people and then 'sell' the people :)

A question about the german version.

The German version has English audio, and the menus are good old OFP/ArmA, so you might get by anyway.

    Just how buggy is it?

I'm playing the campaign, I just triggered a cutscene. When it's over immediately I get run over by a friendly BMP. And MP is a huge lag-glitch-bug fest, if I can connect at all. It just hangs half the time. That pretty much summarizes my experience. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game or I wouldn't be playing it, but there are certainly many bugs, most of them bloody obvious and some quite serious.

    Think ive triggered FADE

I replaced the files (oops) and it didn't trigger FADE. I think!
  13. Note how I can "sense" tanks on the other side of the (flat) city.
  14. Have you seen the new OFP2 ingame video? It's an awful arcade shooter like Call of Duty, not a sim. You can only really appreciate BIS after you see what kind of crap other companies make :P

    ArmAII-Mark

Q6600 at 2.6ghz 4GB DRR2 Gigabyte 4850 1GB Windows XP 1650x1080 All settings normal, low postprocessing score 2524 But I think the score is deceptive, because the problem isn't FPS (20-40 almost always), but the fact that it's often halts (drops to 0fps) for half a second or so, usually when I'm moving but often when I'm only looking around. It works fine on the small island, is playable in campaign, but for some reason it's simply awful in MP.
  16. I love the movement in OFP/ArmA. It's a big part of the magic of the series. I was very concerned that they would change it in ArmA 2 to appeal to FPS players but really it's the good old ArmA movement, the only thing that has changed as far as I can see is that you can move while reloading.
  17. I think you misunderstood. That's not saying that FADE is doing its magic, it's just a note that FADE is present.
  18. Unfortunately telling the user if it's FADEd or not would make it too easy to crack.
  19. You can't buy it? How did I buy it then? Pretty lame excuse there buddy. Also, plenty of bugs without FADE trust me :)
  20. The audio is English, however. Even with patch there's still many bugs unfortunately.
  21. The ArmA 2 engine seems to do this. Note how sharp the soldier is.
  22. The game does have its fun parts. Interesting way to dress during a war ArmA, or GTA? Our Cooper isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer We stole a car from a civilian in MP, and he decided to go with us
  23. Watch your words, knave. I had very clear expectations from ArmA 2, I bought it on faith and found it wanting; am I not justified to complain? Many here are doing themselves a huge disservice. By ignoring the awful state BIS releases their games in, you're telling them it's OK if almost nothing works like it should. This is the wrong message to send.

    Bullet Stray

The AI has no problems shooting me with their plastic AKs at 600m, so I'd say weapons are 'plenty' accurate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UCE11z5ia4
  25. That's just plain stupid. Based on the amount of bugs, the lame campaign and the reliance on mods, if any game should be considered a techdemo, it's ArmA 1/2, not Crysis. As far as graphics go, Crysis looks a lot better in motion. In ArmA things constantly pop in view (vegetation, trees, houses,...) which quite frankly looks terrible when you're actually playing.
