Great Campaign,enjoyed it very much.
Was sad when all was over and surprised how many little details were implemented.

downloaded Norrin's Revive Script and did some experimenting with it...
Still no luck,as I sayed I'm not very good with scripting but giving my best :-)
Right now I focused on a SinglePlayer Warfare Mission,because I liked the one from the Campaign.
Wouldn't say I gave up,just refocused...

Hi Guys,
I would like to create a mission,which consists of 2 parts.
1st: let units board chopper and You need te get them safe to LZ.
2nd: after beeing shot down get back to Base
My problem is,that I don't know how to set the transition between the two parts?
I was trying with a respawn but doesn't came out as a good idea!
As seen in the campaign-missions such transitions (between beeing shot down and regaining conscioussnes) should be possible,but I didn't find out how to implement it?
Tried as a respawn,but no success.
Opened up the Official Missions with "unpbo" but wasn't able to find appropriate scripts.
Did lots of search within this Forum and via Google...
Does anyone have an idea how to do it?
I am not very good with scripting so I hope someone could help me...

Yes,I was also thinking of shooting one of the guy with Nightvisions at HQ...I was so jealous :D
And concerning Lopotevs arresting,well it also took me some efforts to survive this attempt:mad:
I like the idea of warfarelike campaign,but due to the complexity these problems/bugs were annoying.
CTDs,not saving or units behaving weired had a huge factor of frustration!
But anyway I enjoyed the immersion...

Just finished the Campaign with this mission handing Lopotev over to the Russians.Was funny!
The ChDKZ-Base is in
MSTA.
But another big problem was that it became dark as time moved on!
And no way of finding nightvision-sets!
That made the whole thing a very hard one!
Hehe...turning the vehicles with lights on around to see anything... :D
Let's do another one this time trying to reunite Napa with CDF...

Want to share a strange observation I recently made!
My Rig:
i7 920 @3.8GHz
8GB Ram
GTX285 (not o/c)
Win Vista64
NVidia 182.50
Arma with new 1.02 patch
"D:\Combat Land\ArmA2\arma2.exe" -nosplash -mod=@VOP
Playing the Campaign's Mission:"Dogs of war" and during a large battle,where a huge amount of units had to be worked by the CPU(s) to whole thing became a slideshow!I didn't turn FRAPS on so there are no FPS numbers here.
I saved a lot,didn't want to loose my progress and efforts (it was a realy hard work) - the saved files were about 80-90Mb big!
Strange thing is there where no CTDs!:bounce3:
4hours of playing and no probs at all!
But I was playing with "only" 4Cores!
Multithreading was disabled in BIOS.
So I left ArmA2 and rebootet my System,thinking of emptying the memory to get a smooth framerate.Since there were so many units I thought I'll reactivate all 8"Cores" in BIOS to gain performance.
Entered the battle again through my last savedgame and continued-everything was ok.
Than it happens!:mad:
CTD !
But even worse my recently made savedgames were gone,only older ones were present!I had to restart from the point before the battle.
I had this "cannot commit" thing and all my progress was lost!
Do not understand how the newer savedgames could be erased!?
And since then many CTDs followed!
Ok,so I disabled the 4Cores again, et voila it worked like a charme again...
No CTDs anymore...well a few only to be honest,but much less than with 8Cores.
Maybe this could be of some interest as a bug report?;)
And for other i7 users too?

Well,no problems so far!
Survived the ambush and my men responded normally.
How much more can I tell without beeing a spoiler?
But I didn't go much further in this mission,the enemy did attack and afterwords my men took the weapons and did obey all of my orders!
Sure, I thought about uploading my savegame (just entered the Truck and it began moving) but don't know how to attach it here!
Not very firm with using sites like "Filefront"...
Can send somebody my Savegame via E-Mail or as PM!

One more thing I just discovered :
after saving this mission from the editor and copying it into the Campaign-SavedMissions,all following saves will be stored in a seperate Folder in UserMissions within the USER/DOCUMENTS Folder!!!No longer in the usual CampaignSaveFolder... Strange,but it works!
Saving and loading within the Camapign-Mission works normally-no difference !
Thats why I didn't know it until now when I was trying to find the Savegame which I wanted to share with You!

Here is how I fixed this Campaign-Mission for me:
as described I opened the MISSION.pbo from Addons with "Kegetys-CPBO".
Copied the "I3_DelayingTheBear.Chernarus" into my Editor/Missionfolder and started the mission from ther Editor.As soon as we were on the Truck I saved it.
This saved file I copied then into my Campaign-Saved Folder and went back to the Campaign.As soon when I was in the mission I loaded the saved Mission...et voila we ran into the Ambush!
Hope I was clear enough?!
Main thing is,that the mission saved in the editor is transferable to the Campaign!

texture problems...well I had this fight too!
Vista64 GTX285 and FORMERLY 185.85Drivers!!!
Even the new 186.08 didn't help!
Problem solved - switched back to 182.50 Drivers and no more Textureprobs...!

Ok guys...
I solved it !
Just upgraded the Firmware of my DVD-Rom
and voila it works!
Just been in the Game for the 1st time and now keeping You informed.
Hope it will work for a2nd entry :-)

Well I do have 5Harddisks and 7Partitions but no emulated drive!
All other Securomgames works fine,even arma1.
Yeah I know I don't have the newest Graphicdrivers installed,but I have the new one already downloaded.You think it might be a Garphicdriver issue?

Thanks for trying to help,guys but there is nothing else than a normal "Samsung DVD-Rom" Drive.
No USB-Drive,no emulation-Drives or any copyrelated software...no DVD-Writer present,so therefor I do not need such software.

Hi,
installed ArmA2 for the 2nd time but still game won't start!
Securom found an emulated drive on my PC and asks me to shut down software as "Alcohol120" or "DaemonTools".
No such Software is present on my Drives!:mad:
Nor does this Computer has a CD/DVD-Writer!!:confused:
Means there is none of this mentioned Stuff on my PC!
I did a registry check and even there was nothing found like "Alcohol" or "Daemon" !:eek:
Does anyone have a clue what my problem is?
I did use the search function,but no success.
I did the google-search and still no success.
I did change my DMA-Mode to PIO-Mode and backwards,no success.
I did sent my Analyzefile to Securom-Support,still no answer means no success either!
I would realy like to peek into this game,is there anybody able to help?

just made my first experiences with GL4 and I like it! Very good work ;)
Playing around with editor on "Duala-Island" and amazing what I saw.
Here is my question:
So far I managed to turn off enemies artillery in the "GL4_Global.sqf" but how can I turn off my own Artillery? My guys are shredding the whole town that I intend to capture within seconds! :o
Must admit that I didn't read all 70 pages of this thread but a big part of it and couldn't find any answers.
Btw. there is no Artillery placed on my side.
Mein Kompliment an SNKMAN,gute Arbeit!
