  1. You can use one of the following in the init field of the wp. It might be best to add another wp 5m or so away from the one you used flyinheight 5 only because then it will give your units time not to die! You have to name your units or just use the word this where unit is

    unit action ["eject", vehicle] - So for example this action ["eject", heli1]

    unit action ["getOut", targetVehicle]

    There is another one which allows all units to eject, I think you name your leader as something and just use it for one person and they all follow, I can't remember but I'm sure someone will. :)


  2. coolies! I suppse really you could spawn them from in a hanger and the after job done they could vanish.

    I've been thinking. If you're going to use triggers, that would mean that anyone could walk into the trigger area and set off the script? Would it therefore be better for an aircraft to come to a stop and then use a radio? maybe then heli's could land somewhere safer and get the script to move the refuel / rearm to them on the airbase.


  3. Yep. What you need to do it use the this setPos [(getPos this select 0),(getPos this select 1),10];. This will allow you to place a unit where the tower is and then you enter a value where the 10 is to correspond with the height of the platform. You may need to tweak a bit.

    So you enter the whole thing on the init of the unit you want to use.

    What I suggest you to is use the RTE editor, which makes it a lot easier and also download Mr-Murrays deluxe arma editing guide

  4. I must be doing something wrong here.....

    I'm adding the sqs to a mission folder. Creating a trigger with [<startpos>,<burst height>] exec runway3.sqs; in the activation field but nothing is happening.

    Am I to input the <startpos> and <burstheight> based on my own settings for my player? im confused but then again, don't really mess with sqs's yet.:o


  5. I remember emailing him ages ago and seemed like he wasn't too bothered about bringing it out. Which is a shame but its not he first time someone will feel like that. For example, our lovely Gnat has loads of aircraft that he's not releasing, but just using for his own devices....

    Have you got the link to the multiplayer one? I'd love to see that!

    I was just wondering how easy it would be to, as the title states, automate apron tasks.

    So imagine this.... You have just dropped your last bomb and you're just about the fly to base to reload. Instead of having to land and then taxi to a nearby refuel / rearm truck, how about them coming to you?

    So you'd land and taxi to just outside the hangers. If you stop in a designated area, the refuel / rearm trucks come to you and make it look more interesting. say making them drive out of a compound, up the apron and stopping nearby. After job done, they drive off and you can then take off again.

    How possible is that?

    pmsl!! :rofl: And so because of Best, anyone with liver failure etc must be sober for 6 months before being considered for a transplant....hence why so many have died.......Because they don't have 6 months to live :(

    I would allow my organs to be donated, but only to the young. After all, they have the potential to live a healthy natural life.

    ^^I'm not saying adults or older people don't deserve them!^^


  8. Well, I was looking forward to this film for quite some time. My type of film and it has a new aspect for me, being filmed in S.A (and I've never watched a film from there).

    I was actually suprised that I was dissapointed with it. Don't get me wrong, the storyline was good, but it just had something about it that bored me. maybe it was the filming, a bit like Cloverfield.

    One more thing.......I'd did frustrate me how many times the lead character said Fu*k. He just sounded like a scouser! Weird!


  9. Me and my family were actually there. Well...visiting my mums sister and family in Rye, Conneticuit. We're were all planning to head into the city early that morning to go up the twin towers before the queues and heat got too much. Thankfully my nan, rest her soul, overslept so by the time everyone was ready to leave, we saw it on the news.

    We had a walk down to Playland, an old theme park (seen in BIG with Tom Hanks) and you could see smoke from the site. Bad times.

    I have the addon for the apc somewhere but I think its only for Arma 1. I searched for it on Armedassault.info but they have taken it off. Luckily I have Vilas's Aliens APC (inc USCM+plasma weapons) on my external drive if you want me to post it. But like I said, Its only for Arma 1.


  11. What'd be cool would be if you made it into an sqf (in game). That way we could temporarily place it, like we place the UAV managment, and then just walk up to it to access it. Instead of what I'm doing at the minute......Creating a mission in editor / saving mission / exiting / opening animation viewer / searching for an animation / copying / exiting animation viewer / opening editor / loading my mission / copying to a character.

    One more thing......

    I know that the name of the animation has key to everything, is there any way of giving it a real name. For example....

    instead of amovawgfngnosdngfnngsnjsnshowing_ass you could have it as bending_over_showing_ass

    Much like we do with an URL. We have the URL address and then the option to change how it looks.

    But the Viewer is still great!
