  1. On a modding note will we be able to have multiple guns on a vehicle that all shoot or will we be stuck with a single gun shooting? Any chance of adding skeleton and animation support for vehicles? ( So we can make mechs etc?). I wonder if opfor will be able to conceal weapons and not stand out in crowds.... Seriously though the Radar/Flares/Flir just make me cry tears of purest joy......

you do realise that you can have multiple guns on a vehicle right now, right?

  2. Im looking forward very much to seeing what the PR team can bring to the table.

Certainly I cannot understand why so many people are talking BS about "have to use CBA" this and "make it compatible with x" blah. When an established mod team starts a project on your game, you dont take a crap on them and tell them how to run their ship. If they want to make it from scratch and write their own version of CBA, then so be it. This is a large team we're talking about, im sure theyre capable of it. As has been mentioned several times already in this thread, having it as a "one stop" modification that contains all you need for good competitive online pvp public play is probably the best thing to make it succesful. No messing around with different verisons of 5 different addons.

Nothing bad can come of this, I dont get some peoples attitudes....

  3. Could I make a suggestion regarding installation instructions?

Perhaps rename the "Lazy" method to something else? It seems that this method takes just as much time as the regular GUI method, and could actually be more confusing imo. People might try the "Lazy" method expecting it to be significantly faster and easier than the regular method... If im a new, computer illiterate user, I'd come to the Quickstart guide and see mention of a "lazy" method, and think "whoa, lazy quick install, neat!" and probably fall flat on my face as it takes more time, and effort, than just using the six updater GUI.

Consider maybe removing the optional step regarding downloading .7z packages... Despite the fact its "optional" there has been quite a few people attempting to do this step, failing, then posting here about it. Plus its very unneccesary imo also.... The six updater works very fast and given that the .7z packages are quite dated, a very large (maybe the whole?) data inside is outdated and needs updating anyway, so it probably doesnt have a positive impact on the overall speed of a first install.

A short, clear set of instructions make the whole process less intimidating than presenting the basic user with several options and alternatives. The updater has gotten a lot of negtive response as being overly complicated and/or hard to use... its not and never really was, in essence its very very simple to use, but it can be confusing. Perhaps have the "Quickstart" a basic 5 step: 'install updater -> start gui -> main -> vanilla profile -> execute'. Then an "Advanced" guide, mentioning use of the console method and optional .7z files?

I just thought there was a lot of documentation for something that can be a very simple process making it seem more complicated than it is :)

  4. I did the civilian mission and i saw a hellfire explode right above a tank, not doing anything of damage to it..

It looks like airburst but hellfires aren't supposed to do that

Look i took a screenshot: (look at the dark cloud, that's where a hellfire exploded above the tank doing absolutely nothing)

Changed it into a link, i din't know, my apologies.

    Er, isnt that a T90 ?

  5. holy shat i can't figure out how to install this :(

why can't there be a simple installer like for Arma1???

    anyway - ... i followed these steps:

    http://dev-heaven.net/wiki/ace-mod2/Lazy

the "optional" download link to whatever doesn't link to anything - its a empty wiki page that doesn't offer anything

The "vanilla" download link does not work at all.

Can't download anything from this webpage:

    http://updater.dev-heaven.net/main

    :(

    http://dev-heaven.net/attachments/download/4963/SIX_Updater_Suite_v0.7.3_setup.exe

Download this. Install it. Run "Six Updater - GUI" as administrator. When the browser window opens up, click "Main". Make sure" ACE2 - Vanilla" is selected in the dropdown list. Click "Execute".

  6. chances are the target was destroyed, but there was no "catastrophic" destruction and explosions etc. If possible try inspect it closely, it should show signs of being heavily damaged. Vehicles dont always make a big boom with ACE. A top attack is standard for hellfires afaik.

I dont believe the AI gunners use the different LOBL/LOAL modes, they basically use it as if it was vanilla arma2 for them. I could be wrong...
