  1. I actually already had the LowBuildings addon running there, along with LowVegetation, just tried veryLow for both, and again with neither, and the flickering still exists... It doesnt flicker when im very close, or very far from the building, although using a scope from a distance introduces the flickering again...

Also the AI to advanced didnt seem to help any :( But thanks for trying :)

  2. Is this an example of a graphic bug experienced with just ATI 4800's, or is it something everyone has? Im referring to the flickering texture which (sorry for the bad video) you can see most on the side of the corrugated building in the video below, but it occurs on the vast majority of buildings....

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joCdmaH-OCc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joCdmaH-OCc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Anyone know what I can do to eliminate this?

    My specs:

    ATI 4850 512mb

    Intel core i5 750

    4gb DDR3

  3. Im getting the same thing (i think). The screen stutters, especially when looking around. I also think it has to do with the mouse settings.

Anyways im back to 1.03 now.

if its when youre looking around, it sounds like what happens sometimes if you have mouse smoothing set to 0? Try adding a tiny bit of mouse smoothing....

Patch also seems to improve general smoothness and fps for me somewhat :) great job!

  4. "from OFP2"

Ya know, im sure ive seen that exact style control system in many many many MANY games before OFP2, so why would you say that?

Personally I dont have any problems with assigning a quick order using action lists, and arent you kind of limited in how many actions are available when its a ring-menu?

Same thing with the vote kick system, i actually think its faster to type "#vote kick <randomretard>" than to bring up a GUI and do it.... but maybe thats just me.

But it wouldnt hurt to make it more user friendly.

  5. I hope this is not BIS cheap trick of enhancing performance.

This cheap trick was used by ACES to improve performance in FSX with serice pack 2.

I noticed it as I wanted to try the mentioned new fire control feature on Tanks...well...at 900m you dont need fire control...another cheap trick?

This game is not getting better...instead its starting to annoy me.

Feature after feature is disappering, and known config errors are simply not correctet by BIS, but by user made addons.

This must be a big Joke.

Uh, its a test beta patch. I wouldnt start shitting yourself just yet.

  6. We don't have FLIR in Arma 2 now!!! And I don't think (no offence intended) that you understand the technique which is used to add the FLIR feature as intended for OA. It won't be a problem if BIS will release a tool to the community, but....that is not sure as of yet and up to Wolle/BIS to confirm.....If such a tool won't be released.....then it could turn ugly as alot of people will be very pissed off....

Please, enlighten us on the technique that will be used.

  7. well excuse me, but the majority of forces in an eastern world are brits.. and of course the americans, and as us brits are out fighting for an unworthy cause (get out forces out imo) then we should be featured in a game, not have to download a re-skin from a talented community member and then not be able to play with the skin online because it doesnt have a serverkey and servers dont allow custom content... so yes, thats why id like to see british forces in arrowhead

uh... ok.. i almost get the impression that you think british forces are fighting so they can get the chance to be represented in a computer game, or at least you consider that more of a reason for british soliders to be there than the actual "unworthy" reasons.

by "us brits are out fighting" do you mean you yourself are personally in afghanistan? because, quite frankly, the few british soldiers I know couldnt give a rats ass whether someone can play armchair commando in their likeness or not.

Slightly more ontopic, I dont see why people are complaining that OA will have some features that wont be included in A2, i mean.... is anyone really going to NOT buy OA? as it stands I think even if you added the costs of them both together, and double it, it would still be good value for money.
