You have a better setup than i Mrleagend, and i run with a 4600 view 1680x1050 most stuff veryhigh and with some aa on, if i look hard when running i do see grass grow but i have to be looking for it, when i run and zoom at the same time its more in my face and its very noticeable. q9400 4gig 800mhz 285gtx

Hi guys have had this problem from 1.5, Choppers cant be seen beyond 500m even though my view is set to 4600m anyone ell's having this problem? and is there anyway to fix it. quad core q9400 geforce 285gtx 4 gig ram windows xp Its only choppers i have a problem with everything ell's is fine.

It happends with all choppers and it does it without any addons at all, it only started with the 1.5 patch and i thought i would just live with it, hoping it would be fixed with a new patch but its taking to long so was just hoping someone would have a fix for it.

Ram is faster than hdd Eosteric as you say, and as far as i know, a ram drive can be used in arma2 and does indeed make the game run better from what i've read, i haven't needed to try it out myself as the game runs great on my 32bit system :) if your looking to use your extra ram though, it maybe worth looking up the thread about it.

Its a soprano, not a great case i know but it has 3 fans, 2 five inch and one 3 inch pointed at the cpu, the cpu (core 2 quad q9400) its on the the cooler that came with it, i run 3 22" monitors at 5040x1050 though, thats got to push the gpu a bit harder.

what temps you getting for the gpu and cpu do you run with your fans on full? can you change your fan speed? I have a 285gtx oc2 and if i dont have my fans on full, after about 30mins to an hour i'll ctd with lots of colours on the screen just before it dies.

I get this sometimes but if i restart the game, its sweet, seems it happends when I try to change servers.

I've no problems with the guns feel, cq or at range they feel spot on to me. using a small gun for cq is a must, it makes your movement a lot smoother and faster, when in towns forests i would walk and move slow unless i'm running for cover. Changing from a smaw to my gun takes to long, the animation is fine for a stroll in the park but when all hells broke lose i would like to just drop the smaw and start shooting, also when i crouch with the smaw sometimes i need to stand and when i do, i have to put it on my back, stand then wait for the animation, it just takes to longgggg its war out there not a firing range

When you say the ai move to slow, do you have them in safe? press the space bar and 7 (i think) to change them to safe they will walk or run as fast as you do in safe.

keyboard for the xbox? I've never owned a console for this reason but i am impressed with how old the xbox is and what it can still do, I would have no problem giving up my £2000 pc for a £350 console but it would have to have a keyboard and mouse. My last pc used 2 9800gtx+ and watching my mates play cod4 on the xbox and a hd tv, it looked just as good as my pc and monitor, i did note that my movement was very slow, it would take what felt like ages just to do a 180 compared with how fast i could turn using the mouse but i dont know if this was down to the mouse or the limitations of the xbox. I love arma2 easy the best fps out at the moment seeing it on the xbox as it is now on my pc, well thats not going to happen anytime soon, on the pc it feels like a war on an xbox i'm thinking more like a slow skirmish, it would be nice if it could be done though. now what could i spend £1650 on, a new tv? now that i think about it i'll just stick with my pc and if i had a bitch( binned her she was interfearing with my gaming :) she could watch eastenders.

I've seen them use them, lots of times playing online with no mods. When you have dropped a few and have the rest pinned down, seems to be the time they let them fly.

i use a ms sidewinder it lets you change to dpi on the fly 400 800 1000 makes aming at range much better
