Instead starting new thread ill just ask this here sorry iam playing about with the editer and ive placed radar named it rad1 and then placed 3 tunguskas
soon as ive blown up the radar i want the tunguskas to be disabled dont matter if blows them up.
I placed a trigger and put !alive rad1 in the condition and then in the on act i put !alive tung1 && !alive tung2 && !alive tung3 but its not havin it help please ta
edit: nvm figured it out with set damage command

Hi all
Ive only just discovered how to get the functions help menu to pop up while in editer and i noticed the bis_fnc_spawnvehical.sqf my question is can i use this to say spawn a AH1Z to help me after ive blown up or killed a certain something from a trigger if so how would i go about doin it :)

Guys how do i place units ontop of buildings trying put snipers on roofs but when go in the editer there always on the floor infront of the building.

This is doin my head in i cant seem to get the hire soldiers script to work in Lan spent about 30 min copy pasteing code from you all and 5 hours trying get it all to work :D

Ill add that function module then aswell sorry for bein such a noob people this my first mission:) put arma2 on the shelf i was done with it but after doin alot reading and watching you tube tutorials ive really starting getting into the editer this games awesome i just need bit of help:yay:

Ok ive run into another problem now:( ive settled for this script until god xeno or some 1 else comes along but when i try play my mission on lan i get this error message
script CA\modual\function\arrays\fn_arraypush.sqf not found
And i lost the abilty to hire my soldiers i tried goin back into the editer and adding a function module to my barracks and my self and re pdo ed it but did nt work any suggestions guys:rolleyes:

Hi charon it worked mate thanks:) not how i expected thow just couple of problems when i walk up to the barracks my drop down menu fills up with "hire soldiers" when i click it all 11 ai soliders spawn at same time and then when i walk away from the barracks my drop down menu only consists of "hire soldiers" i can t select my weapons or any thing any ideas:confused:
what id like it to happen is iam able to select the ai soldiers i want like in xeno s domination version thanks for the help:)

Iam trying to spawn A.I soldiers in my mission so far this is what ive done i made a script called hire.sqs

Ive then added a barracks and in the init box ive typed :
hiresoldier = playername addaction ["Hire Soldiers", "hire.sqs"]
Then ive placed a marker covering the barracks and called it hire but its not working:( ive also tried putting a trigger on the barracks and typed hiresoldier = playername addaction ["Hire Soldiers", "hire.sqs"] in condition box but did nt work either can any one help me please.

Hi all
I just quick question for you i noticed in arma2 shortcut its says run this program in compatibilty mode for:
Windows 95
Windows 98/Window Me
Windows NT 4.0 (servicepack5)
Windows2000
Now iam not great with computers but i got Windows xp sp3 and i dont see this as an option in the drop down menu which has sorta made me bit worried.
Is this normal or have i done some thing wrong some where:confused: if any one can put my mind to rest that be great:o

Well, your right, I know alot of other people don't use the AI variant, but I find its easier when you have less than 5 people playing.I've tested it out on both dedicated and hosted, and it seems to play about the same (maybe a bit better on hosted, but its hard to tell)
I'm using probably the same addons as everyone else: JTD fire and smoke, vop sound, trsm tracked vehicles, and of course the cba addon.
I'm going to try and test out zGuba's addons right now to see if the trigger happy ones help at all
Overall, its probably not a huge deal, it just makes it harder on anyone that is playing with only a few other people
If your playing A.I version i recommend the SLX wip;)
breog:usally you just have to run upto the flag might have to use scroll menu cant remember but sound like you might have bug

Hey its working now:bounce3: i disabled slx and a few sound mods then edited it.Now i just have to fine out exactly what mod was giving me grief;)

Ahh not just me then, yeah its weird thought was some thing to do with 1.09 but its doin it in the version before aswell now used to add loads stuff like 5 tanks 5 jets pmc apaches etc etc and every thing was fine. Now i just got few guys defending the base and added f16 etc as side/main mission rewards which work.
But when i load up the same mission only with an AH1Z at the start only 1 then the lift choppers dont work never checked ammo crates/mhq loading but reckon id have same prob as you cant get my head round it why dont work any more ill take look at the file you mention cheers xeno.
Oh and btw xeno just like to thank you for all the missions you gave us your goin be missed big time hope you come back for next expansion:bounce3:

ahhh iam starting pull my hair out now wtf is goin on if i edit a mission now none my lift choppers work its like got mind of its own some times they work some times they dont ive checked and double checked copyed all files over even gone into notepad both versions are same never used have these probs thought was some thing to do with the 1.09 version buts its not doin it on version before now but all was working fine 30 min ago lol.
All ive added to ai version it few guys with tow a tank and few sniper squads stop base rape that was working fine.
Then i added 1 cobra at start give my self head start now no lift choppers work.Duno whats goin on used add loads f16s loads choppers tanks and stuff at start and all worked fine:confused:totally stuck
edit:ok so i made 2 edited versions both are same except 1 has a AH1Z at the start and 1 has nt the 1 with the AH1Z at the start makes the lift choppers not work lol i dont get it.

hi mate just a thought and it most prob dont matter but have you tried installing 1.02 then patching up to 1.03 might work

yeah same amount what i got not sure whats goin on then soon as i edit the mission like add few defences to stop base rape copy all files over again pdo it but lift choppers dont work i ve gone back to the version before and it all works fine o well :j: ta anyways

When i load up a edited version the lift choppers cant lift any thing

first off love the mod it adds so much to the game the ai are awesome but ive had some funny thinks happen.
I was using the mod in dom AI me and full group of ai was just killing what was left of the enermy in the town,we had really cool fire fight my ai guys actully got loads of kills, towards the end was just me and 2 medics but my medics where sorta doin the own thing ignoreing regroup wondering about by them selfs.
When i got into the town where my medics where there was enermy soldiers standing by them with there hands on there heads surrendering i just laughed thought was awesome.
So i spotted a injured enermy soldier thought right ill capture him too went to drag his body then all sudden i was on the other side of the island in the ocean lol.
Ok so i suicided repawrned and went try again this time i ordered my medic to heal the injured guy he did but the enermy soldier just got up and ran away tried running after him but didnt get any options to capture him in drop down menu,when i turned round and went back to my medics they had dropped there weapons and was running around with there hands on there heads :eek: apart from all this thow really enjoyed it some really cool moments in the game keep up the great work :)
And the fact i was playing dom on lan and NOT a dedicated server might of had some thing to do with bugs

hmm i followed the guides think ive done every thing right in the case of where server.cfg ect goes but when use the launcher i just get a box top left of screen saying dedicated host created , host idenitity created but game does nt launch what do i do now sorry for being a noob:o
Do i launch the game with differant launcher and then just look for my server.
Ahh ok ive found my server but i need to patch it to 1.03i read the wiki but dont really get it can any 1 explain how i do it please.
nvm i was being thick after some searching i found the 1.03 version

Hi all
I duno what iam doin wrong but in the missions i make my objectives are always repeated so when i click on tasks in the mission theres always an etc copy of the task so instead of having a drop down menu of say 3 primary objectives and 1 secondary objective i have 6 primary objectives and 2 secondary objectives.
Its like my tasks makes a copy of it s self any ideas what i might be doin wrong.Also does it with notes as well so i have my note and a copy of my note again.
