I have a 2.83 quad... I also get around 25 26 FPS while a tiny town. It's the game, not the computers.

I Have a Top end Quad core, 4870x2, 4 gigs of RAM, and one of the best gaming mobos in the industry... and I'm still installing this. ARMA 2's optimization is utter SHIT. :)

ARMA 2 doesn't support "guts" and "ripping". Sorry. :p

COOP isn't fun, seriously. (I think so anyways) computers are boring no matter how good the AI is. It is always better to play with humans, they are more unpredictable and vary in tactics and skill levels. the AI are as hard as they are set to, and after a while of playing with them you will learn a basic idea of whats going to happen while fighting them. AI = Intel/AMD cpu Human = Most powerful computer known to mankind What do you think would be better, server admins?

Turn off the damn shadows to low. Make the two filterings to Low... put postprocess to low then everything else to normal/high/Vhigh Game runs great, even at 1080p, 4k view and 100 fillrate.

Hey guys, I just got ARMA 2... woot. Just one question... Should I get 1.03 or go straight for the beta? Which one has better performance? Or are they the same? Do i need to get the 1.03 first then the beta? Or can i just get the beta? Thanks guys.

LOL LOL LOL You call THAT a mess?? You should see my computer. 4870x2 (HUGE) stuck into an antec 900. Barely fits and I got this corsair that has like a billion wires. I have no idea what to do with it.

What settings can you decrease W/O a huge loss in quality but FPS increase. I'm currently at a 30 fps average but sometimes in combat it goes down to the 20s so i get shot. Any help guys?

Because I'm playing with the demo right now with a powerful system... and i would like to be able to play at 1920x1080 100% fillrate with atleast 30 fps w/ everything on high. Currently it is at 17-22 fps. i have an ati 4870x2.. I've heard ati users have had problems with this game, is there anything I can do? How are the beta patches..? Do they make the game run better? thanks.

weird... I spawned a bunch of M1A1s in one side of the airfield and a bunch of T90s on the other side.. (i think about 20 each) The M1A1s always won... ???

How much of a differnce is there between the two? I was playing the demo and it wasn't very intresting, I hope the real game will be as good as every1 is saying it is :)

Well I thought that the MP was very limited and it was filled with noobs that thought it was bf2. One problem was that when playing DM... if you shot a person now.. he would fall over about 1 second after you shot him. It was very awkward. I'm not sure if that was because the server was bad or because the game is that way. Also i expected more huge landscapes and amazing battles. In the death vally gamemode... the only thing that happened was noobs on the big grenade launcher MGs shooting grenades at anybody that got close to the objective. It just felt like an alpha demo.

Will arrowhead have some kinda everydirectional leaning mechanic with trackir? For example: Guy activates cover mode and leans to the left top in RL... the char does the same. Guy leans down... charector leans down as if taking cover (from explosion or gunfire..) More directions pretty much, not just left and right but also up down and forward/backwards. Great idea imo.
