  1. I changed original OFP sounds to be more realistic. So if you download it be sure to make the backup of the original file Sound.pbo http://www.2shared.com/file/iSubPqok/DaraOfp__New_sounds_v12.html Video sample of those sounds UZZSTToE-v0 contains: -sound.pbo Extract the file sound.pbo to- C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE\Res\Dta and replace the old one I made this using some warious sounds i found and mix it with other weapon and explosion sounds. Changesd sounds: -M16 -AK74 -XM4 -M21 -SVD -Hand grenade -Mortar shell -Heli gun -heli rockets -Tank shell -AT launcher fire -AT launcher explosion -Combat ambient -Bullet riccoshe ect.. Did not change sounds on M60 and PK machinegun (it doesent work when i put longer sounds) Use this at your own risk!!!

    Will the distance view be fixed?

    When i fly planes i increase the view distance to like 5000 km, but objects will not be visible at that distance unless you set the option "object detail" to very high (this option sets how detailed and far the objects will be seen) They probably made distance view option for people who fly planes and helis in ARMA II, when you are in air game can run ok at 5000 - 10000 km view, because you are not close to the ground and the game does not have to render detailed ground texture, grass, houses and trees... If you play as infantry 1500 km is more than enough as it eats FPS as you increase the view and average shootout takes place at 200 meter!

  10. When on AA+ High or Very High shadows the edges only look jagged when playing in 3rd person, have you looked at the shadows from first person. They look fine to me when playing first person, it's when you switch to 3rd person they look jagged on high and Very high

I only use JSRS 1.4 sound mod and RUG_DSAI (witch is Dynamic Sound AI- it is good for ambient, soldiers shout and speak random dialogs depending if they are in a combat, aware, safe or stealth mode) every thing else is vanila ARMA 2 and expansion Operation Arrowhead (no additional addons used) Graphic look good considering i have a 4 year old PC (there is a way that ARMA 2 can run good and keep a decent graphic even if you dont have a beast of a PC...If anyone is interested how to do that just ask)

I have a: Intel® Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2,40Ghz 2Gb Ram DDR2 Windows XP SP3 Nvidia Gforce 9600 GT 1GB now i now this game is blood thirsty for CPU and GPU, so i wont to upgrade something! Since intel stopped selling Q6600 CPU's (i wonted to get a Q6600 3.20Ghz but now il hold on to this 2,40ghz) i wont to by another 2GB Ram and new Graphic card like Gforce GTX570 GT DDR5 (i now its not cheap) but will i get enough FPS with this graphic card and this Quad CPU 2,40Ghz and 4GB RAM DDR 2? I dont wona by a whole pc thats to much money, i already have to buy at least new 860W Power source for the GPU...so any tips???

  17. BELLICUS INSULA Its been a long time since i posted any thing about Island... Some of you know i started a ww2 island 10 monts ago, but i had to give up on that project because i did not have enaugh free time to make such a detailed island So i decited to use all those ww2 laocations i made so far and i imported them into my old GALA island and i had changed all the objects and texture (basicly this is a whole new island i just used some elevations of hills and mountains from Gala island) As previos island there will be a Woodland and Desert part so you can make war scenarios as you like At the end i hope to give you 2 versions of the island... -one will be normal version -Second will be like a war destroyed version where i will replace houses and walls with the destroed ones so it will give a real war athmosphere when fighting in city with grenade craters, houses and trees burned, wall sections destroyed The work is going fine, im working full force here are some screenshots of the island locations
