  1. anyone still know anything on my p3d problem?
  2. Hey guys, I made a really short video tonight. I really loved the feeling of the situation when I was testing some ACE2 things so I was like hey, I should film this. So I filmed an M1A1 HC Desert tank shoot a couple of maingun bullets. omuit51F0E4 Or click here to watch in HD if you like.
  3. Yeah but what about the missing p3ds that the editor keeps telling me about, and even when i preview the map.
  4. Yeah that's what I've got but it isn't exactly one file. Inside of the 7z there are several folders: Public key Opxroads Opxplants Opxmisc Opxbuildings Avgani 1.5 Afghan Village 1.0 As I said I took the files out of each and placed them all together in the @Afghan/Addons folder. Inside the opxplants folder there is a folder called mLODs which contains some p3ds. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing.
  5. I for some reason experience extreme lag when I play any of the two maps and put quite a lot of units on to create a realistic battle (tanks, soldiers, humvees). Im not sure if this is normal because my computer always seemed to be better with this kind of stuff on chernarus. I'll go test it again, but I do know that my processor is pretty slow (I have a gtx 260 for a gpu, but the cpu is a core 2 duo e6550 2.33 ghz). Im just not sure if this is normal because theres a lot less to handle on this map, however with all the units there and the JTD effects it lags so bad. I'll have to compare this to chernarus.
  6. Thanks both for the quick reply. Right, it actually worked. However when in the editor, I occasionally get error messages that it can't load some p3d files (usually saying ca/blahblah/etcetc/something.p3d). For example, when I load the Avgani map it says "Cannot open object ca/buildings/bouda_garaz.p3d". I have a feeling i might have messed something up with the folder structure. What I did is make a folder in the arma 2 root called @Afghan, inside I made a folder called Addons, and in there I plastered all the files from the separate folders in the afgani package together - so i took them out of the folders and put them in the Addons folder. Then I did the same with the config files, also plastering them in there. The only weird thing is that there was a folder called mLODs that's filled with 12 p3d files. I don't think p3d files go into the addons folder, do they? I just put this folder into the addons folder, but I'm not sure what to do with them. Any ideas? Edit: I just previewed the map and now it says "cannot open object ca/misc/jeept.p3d". Gah!
  7. Can somebody help me getting Afgani and Afghan village to work? First I installed them and I wasn't sure what to do with all the folders so I extracted all the files from each and put them in @Afghan/Addons. When I tried to launch it said the addon recquired CAPlants and wouldn't work. So I went to research and downloaded CAA1, which installed itself into arma2/x/etc. (is that supposed to be like that?) I read in places and people said to put the Afghan files into the CAA1 Addon folder (which is where exactly..?) and also I need to unpack the pbos, remove config files, and "load these new addons along" as kju said on devheaven, except there are no addons attached. I'm completely lost and I'm dying to play those maps. Also for some reason when I launch arma 2 with CAA1 it would freeze every 2 seconds for about 10 seconds and then unfreeze, until I actually get into the map (so it freezes in the menus). It's impossible to navigate the menus with that. And lastly, I want to play the maps with ACE2 and JTD fire and smoke (i have them). I'm using a launcher that allows me to check which mods I want to launch the game with easily. I can't do this with CAA1 because it's not in a @ folder. Can someone provide me a step by step guide on how to get everything to work properly? I've been searching and trying for 2 days, I think I looked over pretty much everything on the internet about this and nothing properly explains what needs to be done. Thanks.
  8. Attention Attention! Litos has made a new ArmA 2 movie! After such a long while, since like Paradise Falls (which was awesome btw). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4n9tlAGK9E Watch in HD please! Enjoy!
  9. Nice, can you link to the mod please?
  10. Hey everyone, I'd like to know what the animations are for the warehouse storming in the campaign towards the beginning of the game. You know, where team razor breaks in the warehouse to arrest the people inside in Chernogorsk. I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
  11. I've been alright. Don't make much ArmA 2 videos anymore, though I still have a few planned. I still make other game MVs though. Thank you very much Zipper, you're a life saver.
  12. Not bad. Though there are a lot of things you could have done to enhance it, such as camera shakes and blurs. Also, can you please tell me what is the animation for the execution towards the end. I can't find it in AnimViewer. I really need it, thank you.
  13. LOL THEY GOT 1 Haha good job mate, the last outtake was funny.
  14. I believe it's the NIM's Weather Mod that can be find on Armaholic.
  15. Simple... but beautiful. Also the few of you who quoted the video just stepped on a Placebo landmine, just sayin'. :p
  16. Good use of animations but horrible use of camera zoom tools. My advice: Don't ever use them again. They're bad for this kind of stuff. Make custom camera shakes with your mouse in-game.
  17. Wtf lol, where's the actual explosion?
  18. good video with a lot of potential. I think you needed more angles and a little more to it than just shooting. But its good overall.
  19. That's just about the worst movie I've ever seen. Why would anybody want to create an idea of terrorists attacking a church? I don't think even they'd do that. The movie quality is poor too, but I wouldn't say so if it at least had a good idea and potential in it. And you know, ironically, a priest was killed inside of his own church in Russia this week. Sad...
  20. I dont get the first one...it looked cool though.
  21. it is indeed and i loved that video. The dog running fit perfectly to the song.
  22. Oh cool, what map is that?
