    So many wrongs in that. Bullet is not THE physics engine in GTA IV. It was one of them. GTA IV used the physics engine Euphoria for characters, and the physics engine Bullet for vehicles and other objects, not handled by Euphoria. Just like Star Wars used 3 different physics engines. One physics engine for rigid bodies, one physics engine for characters, and another one for advanced physics. Havok, Euphoria and DMM, respectively.

    Which is exactly what a physics engine is supposed to do. All physics engines makes animation. Animation is just motion. Physics engines figure out the motion over time. Which is exactly what Euphoria does too. Saying that it's not a physics engine is just plain dumb. Sure, but I cannot attach Dwarden to posts.

    Better physics, including ragdolls have already been confirmed. They considered Euphoria, but went with PhysX instead, for god knows what reason...

    It's very well optimized. Not Bohemia's fault that you think your hardware specs are sufficient. You obviously have no idea about the resolution of the textures, terrain details, etc. in this game, when you crank it to the max. Not to mention the hundreds of objects, bushes, trees, roads, buildings and power lines leading to millions of objects. And that's excluding the rendering of characters, vehicles, vehicle simulation, handling of character movements, the sound system, the AI, the weather and ballistics.

    Left 4 Dead 2 does not synchronize ragdolls. They're completely client side. No ragdoll lands in the same location for any client. Garry's Mod does, though.

    And since when has the word "ragdoll" ever implied being blown away when shot? In fact, ragdolls do exactly what you describe happens when you get shot. They drop. That most companies makes them fly all over the place when they get knifed, is their mistake. Ragdolls are not the simulation of getting blown away. Just because the body doesn't need to be blown back, doesn't make ragdolls void. Ragdolls still simulate a dead body, collapsing, and acting like a dead body. And you're missing one thing where "Blown Away" isn't actually busted. Explosions and implosions. Depending on the magnitude, a human body WILL be thrown. Ragdolls adds an insane amount of immersion to a game. Especially a warfare simulator like ARMA. Also, you have no clue on networking.
  22. I'd LOVE to use C# as a scripting language for ARMA. However, it would allow disasterous power by the mission maker. Then again, you should never install something you don't trust. Besides C#, Lua is the only thing worth implementing.
