  1. Hey, guys.

    I feel kinda dumb for not trying this earlier, but after disabling some features in GL4_Global.sqf I am now able to play through an entire map without any freezing!

    I was disabling things in clumps (because one at a time would take way too long :p), but after disabling one of these two

    the freezes have ceased!

    I am pretty sure it's the reinforcement one, because there are no airplanes in some of the maps I was testing.. So I'm going to play for awhile with only the reinforcement requests disabled, then report back.

    Ive just started using GL4 again, just for single play, and i also had to disable these 2 things to stop the freezes.

    Anything able to be done with this addon about the "GO IM COVERING" ?

    Its SO annoying!

    Ive been using ACE and its disabled in that.

  2. 1 annoying thing about the Duala version is always starting with the White phosphorus grenade selected. I always forget and go to fire my rifle and throw a WP nade instead. lol. killed my side kick a few times.

    Ive been working so much lately, this mission is good for just a quick fix atm. It can be as long or short as wanted.


  3. Maybe You're right. Let's put it in this way: the engine of ArmA II is a #&@#&@#&@# #Ä@#@! to be honest. :mad:

    The rendered image quality is breathtaking, but personally I don't want to use a game for making screenshots. It's for using as a GAME.

    And You're right, the z-fighting is NOTHING compared to what I saw yesterday in Chernarus: standing on the rooftop of one of the tallest buildings in the center of Chernarus I user a sniper scope to examine the highly detailed textures of the buildings in the distance. After then I switched back to non scoped view and quickly turned around. And it literally took 3-4 SECONDS (!:eek:) for the buildings to appear and even the ghillie suit texture on the rifle looked like 4-5 BOXES before the engine managed to load all the needed textures. OMG, it's a piece of .... :mad:

    And I'm using Q8200@3 Ghz, 4GB RAM, Win7 64 bit, HD4890, 1680x1050. It's a shame.

    Maybe I don't have 1000s of posts on this forum, but I'm a paying customer of BIS. And if everything will go in this way that people trying to "familiarize" with the engine without any "personal" answer from BIS then I will NOT be a returning customer.

    Or to be precise I will: I will RETURN this game to have a massive REFUND.

    I'm getting tired of spending countless hours for setting the possible graphics settings to eliminate all of this bugs. Maybe it does not worth it. I'm sorry, it was a good try, BIS! :(

    Try PROPER game tweaks to ease some of this LOD switching.

  4. Nazul LOL, nice find. ILS light retrieved and returned to the storage house =)

    I've checked the 062048 but cannot find that error in latest v1.05 (not released). Do you have a screenshot of that parallax?

  5. Ive got some very strange ground textures at 062048. Some error with the parallax textures. Its in the upper left corner of that grid ref.

    Also i found an ILS light in the middle of the jungle, lol. 078074 lower right part of the grid.Is it there on purpose?
