If the AI is annoying you, tell them to move to a location at the beginning area of the mission and leave them there. When you get out of range for them they will ask "Where are you?". Just ignore them, turn down the radio volume if you want. So do the mission on your own. Try out user made missions as well on www.armaholic.com also try the COMBAT module in Single player scenarios. Random continuous missions to give you a feel for the dynamic nature of commanding the AI and playing the game.

The main logic behind these freebies is to draw in more customers. I read an interview with Valves Gabe Newell and he was talking about the massive increase in sales for TF2 everytime they release a patch and release a 'freebie'. 1 reason why VALVE support TF2 and LFD so well. So obviously this 1.05 patch makes Arma2 run the best so far, include a freebie and you can watch sales increase. Hope it works for them.

Also when you are in the vehicle, press spacebar and i think its then the 1st or 2nd option will make ALL your squad GET IN. F keys and numbers are the original method., spacebar is new easier method.

I had to revert to version 1.6.4 to get ACE to work. With version 2 i would always get the "ACEX_c_men_usarmy requires Ace_c_gear" error and ACE wouldnt be loaded properly ingame. I tried all the mod order priority i could think of, I assume that is the error. So its working properly now with 1.6.4.

If we're throwing sound ideas in... I'd love more of a pain noise when hit, atm hardly notice that you've been hit, until trying to take aim.

So he is living in a retirement community in one of the houses? Unfortunately with those estates you never really own the house, just lease it. They have a strict covenant which must be followed. I know its unpatriotic of them but they make the rules and he signed the contract. Strange that they wont allow him to have a flagpole though. Our retirement villages here in Australia all have flags out the front.

WOW thats nearly $400AU. Thats some cheek charging so much. We dont pay for our TV, unless you want satellite, but we do have ALOT of advertising, 15mins of every hour is ads. Annoying sometimes but good others, get to goto toilet, do dishes...
