I was getting this error with RH HELI sound addon, disabling that fixes it. Are you using that addon?

I had your launcher open over night, i had started Arma2 about 10 times, doing some testing and stuff over the last 12 hours and i just looked at ram usage it was upto 330megs. lol. I quit and restarted the launcher and its back to 12megs.

Ive got a plugin for Total Commander that treats .pbo's like zip/rar files and allows you to view and edit contents. Its so handy, dont need to depbo just to edit mission.sqm etc. I just tested, my plugin is still working, Id rather that than it launching the game.

You know what would be nice, seeing as some people are having problems installing. and thats some PARS or some other parity archives. A couple hundred megs of pars would save reinstalling the game.

You might have to update this now ACE has its own sound folder and filenames have changed. I was getting error for acex_c_sound_wep_sniper.pbo being deleted. I just removed it from mission.sqm and the mission worked.

lol @ Benny Hill. Is/was he popular in Finland? Its a game problem not the maps but the lake and river water texture looks odd until youre very close to it, then it looks like water. On the river i did notice some texture joins as well. Need the co-ords? Great looking terrain, reminds me of Finland, what i saw from the airport at least :P

I noticed the mod list being displayed on-screen like this too. I'm not sure if that is the order its being loaded in tho. The boss should be able to answer that.

Well i did try to install it over the top 1st which gave me the same error . After i tried that then i deleted the folder. I used Windows Installer Cleanup Utitility and was able to install. tnx

Hi Yoma, i wanted to update to the latest version .45 from much earlier version. 1st theres no uninstaller, so i just deleted the folder. 2nd. Unable to install .45 getting an error code #2869 which indicates a problem with the package. Ive downloaded several times and getting same file size of 3,456,000 bytes Any ideas? TIA

Do i just drop these config pbo's into the same folder as OPX addons or remove old configs from pbo's? TIA

This is look great. Just a suggestion but why dont you work with IceBreakr and his Isla Duala map and release all of the addons together as an African mod, similar to Tonal? Package it with some missions/mini campaign maybe some re-tex armour, technicals and the rest. I can help with missions... What you think?

If its true the development team has changed 2 or 3 times as Ive read then, I really feel sorry for the guys doing it now. It must be a mess of unworkable and unfinished code. I know when Ive taken over jobs (construction) its an absolute mess. I hate it, it takes 3x as long do anything, because everything is unfinished. Its actually one of the golden rules in construction, dont finish a job for someone else, but you really have to charge 3x as much. I see they have thrown the dogs a bone over on the forum, theyve released a... wait for it ... A SCREENSHOT!!!!!!!

After i discovered i had no weapons sound, i spent about 30mins, trying to re-update, reading this thread and the bug tracker. THEN i realised there's a new MOD folder!! @ACEX_SM this one. Enabled with the launcher and got sounds again! Greatwork ACE crew!

lol, no you cant! Ive done 3 years of backpacking with a 20kg backpack and you can not run with it for more than couple hundred metres. You do get used to planning your assault better, using transport available.

Im going to try the USB stick method. How are you loading the USB as a mod folder? Just using SYMLINK? nevermind, sorted.

Wolle is just being negative for the sake of being negative. If the system was in reverse ie d/m/y and someone asked about changing it he would give the same argumentative answer. BIS is a Czech company and this server is located in CZ, you'd think they would want it their way. D/M/Y.

I was mid way through this campaign and HD died so Ill have to restart, going to use ACE this time. Was really enjoying the missions, lots of tricky surprises.

Is it possible to get the date format changed to what the rest of the world uses and not just for americans? ie. day:month:year. When you think about it that format makes sense. from smallest time measure up to the biggest. And another unrelated rant- Anyone else sick of English being referred to as English(US) and English(insert picture of american flag) ? Im not even English but it pisses me off.
