Im going to bump this for its awesomeness. Really is an awesome mission. The AI is handing the map alot better now with the beta patches. This is the most fun Ive had in Arma2!!! Link on 1st page still works.

Im just alt-tabbed atm from playing and Ive got 2 guys saying "GO IM COVERING". Theyre taking it in turns. I was about to execute one of them. Its best to remove that line of speech altogether, its not needed.

Could someone help me please. Ive read back to page 35. With this mod enabled, in the editor I'm only able to place the old A1 units such as Camel, M113... and no others? Just last night while playing and seeing the AI NOT copy my stance i wished they would. Thanks for this. Hopefully BIS can fix this.

Im the opposite, i really dislike Hans Zimmers soundtracks, they are all the same and remind me of such stale blockbusters like Pirates of Caribbean. I always notice his soundtracks, now to me that makes a bad soundtrack, they should be unnoticeable in the background. Maybe he is just overused and it all sounds the same.

Us private school boys used to play Blind-folded-nude-leap-frog. It was such jolly good fun, someone would always get stuck in the mud. Soggy biscuit was a favourite just before bed time too.

People complain about the AI in Arma2 but take a look at other games and the scripted characters they use, cant call it AI, and Arma2 has some of the best AI ever! It has some faults but so do the people i play online with. I dont think its unfair to be shot at quickly by the AI, I do it to them. The AI plays very realistic sometimes, and sometimes it has a spaz. it keeps getting better with the new betas.

Interesting addon. Thanks. One of my pet hates with Arma2 is the map and how the hill/mountain heights are displayed on top of the hill/mountain name. It really bugs me. Its very hard to read heights and names without zooming all the way in. Are you able to do something about that? Thanks I had to laugh at the map that was in OFP DR, it was so pathetic. Arma2 map really is amazing and realistic in comparison.

Templar do you know you can switch to each AI team mate and control direct and then switch back?? Press T. Useful for positioning.

I never micro manage them, Ive tried all that and now i dont care if they get shot. I just let them follow me. Im good enough player to not really need them. I give them ALL a command but nothing to fancy, it all works.

Its best with each update to restart THAT mission, not the whole campaign, just the 1 mission you are on. Easy to revert in the save menu.

This is still information overload for someone new. Just dont worry about giving your team ordders and let them follow yo and do their own thing, they are very capable of that. But when you try to micromanage them they get spaz. So you just play and ignore them they will follow , saves the stress.

Nice mission mate, i havent completed it yet. Took me a few goes to kill tanks. I never noticed the ammo box with satchels was there, the grass is so long, lol. Its a good chance to check out Namalsk too. Runs fantastic.

When the AI are acting like spazzas just leave them, ignore them, do the mission solo. Execute them if you want. It takes a while to get the knack of controling them.

lol, got all that? Bit swamped? Vanilla Arma2 is pretty good, as long as you patch 1.04 and beta patches. Then start to explore mods. Theres so many mods now. Half the fun for me is just testing the mods, hardly even playing missions. Check out the missions on Armaholic too. Id skip the Arma2 campaign for a bit longer, maybe after 1.05 it will better.

The matchmaking is total garbage. Im yet to play a game with under 180ping. Watching kill-cam, it never correlates what just happened on my screen. Forwarding ports, enabling UPnP? LOL IWnet was supposed to take the "problems" of using a confusing server browser away. now they expect people to do that. Fail! Bring back DEDICATED SERVERS FFS

templargfx theres quite a few aussie servers being active all the time too. Some are pubs you can drop into and play not so serious, theres other servers for more serious play. OGN is one, they have TS server, address on there forum. Domination and Evolution are gamemodes for the not so serious but it is quite serious gameplay compared to other games.
