IMHO you should put yourself in the shoes of an informant or cooperative Afghani who may be shot very soon. This is TREASON folks. Nothing more, nothing less. You can spout all the poetic Bullshit you want about the person leaking the information being noble, and fighting for the greater good, but in the end it's exactly that - bullshit. I have friends in Afghanistan, not just American soldiers either. This leak is putting their lives in danger, and the lives of countless others, as well as many Afghan civilians who just want peace, and have cooperated with us to further that goal. If you think I am going overboard by wishing that this sonofa***** get's executed, maybe your right. How about we tie them up, and leave them in a room with the widows of the dead. Is that better? :angryfire:

I haven't had any crashes yet either. I do feel that they need to lighten up on the recoil effect. It goes overboard right now.

Getting back to the core of the issue, I sincerely hope that they shoot whoever the fuck is responsible for this leak, if they catch him/her.

Personally I think they look good. The Mich helmets are widely used these days, and I like a little variety. Anything other than a Mich you can think of Mac? Oh, the Recon guys already use Boonies, and they fit their camo better imo.

I find that amusing. WP is not a WMD. It's not even that bad compared to some of the weapons we use. Yes, it burns like a fiery hell, but that's on the idiots who were firing at our guys. WP is used for marking targets most of the time IIRC. It produces a nice big white cloud of smoke that the CAS supporting the ground units can zero in on.

Of course! I won't have a reliable internet connect in about a month, and I would love to be able to play some VTE before that happens. I... "dislike" using the Six-Updater though, which is why I haven't joined in yet.

I love the picture of the guys head coming through the roof, and the steering wheel floating mid windshield, and i find it even more humorous that there appears to be no interior texture. I can sum this up in a single "image".

Seeing as the thread starter appears to have magically grasped English, I would suggest that he take apparent some missions and look at them. It helped me, and it should help him. Also, he mentioned something about the 7CAV, i assume he is trying to get something off one of their missions to use.

Ok, you CANNOT "knock air units out of the sky" with a .50 caliber sniper rifle. That's a myth from BF2 & movies. You also cannot "paralyze armor" with a .50 bullet. Your acting as if it fires a 120mm SABOT round ffs. You CAN disable an engine on unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, but you couldn't take down something like a M2A2/BTR-90/T-90/M1A1, etc. etc. Think about it. A single bullet makes tanks useless? Ain't never gonna happen pal. *Edit: You probably can disable a helicopter, but you would have to be a DAMN good shot, because you would have to hit the rotor on a flying aircraft, or the pilot on a flying aircraft.

I believe your right. Also, while there was a delay, it was only about 2 seconds, and as soon as the 2nd round hit the M1A1 was crippled and unable to move or turn its turret. 2 seconds after impact, the crew bails out. 2-5 seconds after they bailed, but before they moved away, it cooked off.

Just a comment on the last item. You can take out an M1A1 with 2 shots from a T-34. I assume you fired at the front armor, while I fired at the rear.

You can't find the password. That's why the server has a password... Try googling the name of the server, with arma2 added if nothing comes up. That should give you their website, and you will either find it there, or you will have to join their group/tournament/etc. to play on their server.

Actually, many modders can, and do, do better. Bohemia does research, but they have to manage the cost of that research, and how long it would take to reproduce an exact replica of *blank* object. Also, their developers work to get paid, to make a living. There is no... "passion" in that most of the time. (No offense to anyone at BIS of course) Whereas community addon makers do it for fun, because they want to see *blank* object in the game, and they want every little detail to be correct. Some addon makers actually make a living selling models, and they create models for ArmA as a hobby/ for fun/ or because they can. Basically, community addon makers focus on details and exact specifications because the community fusses over them. BIS, while they do support the community, and they do try and get things right, have to make these things to make money, so they can make other things. It's the circle of life, and in my opinion, the circle we have here is 100x better than others (EA for instance).

ArmA 2 had the "proxy war" you want, between the CDF and the Guerrilla guys that i forget the name of. Armed Assault had the proxy war, between the RACS and the SLA. If you want another one, go play something else.
