Will you include Stonehenge? I know its location is within the area of England you guys are using... -

Jersey appears to be on it. Proof the limit is far greater than 20x20 :D -

Once you reach that point I could definitely use your objects. I'm sure Parris Island and Pendleton have atleast a few building/building styles in common. :) -
Arma 2 Addon request thread
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
@Domokun - the 31st Normandy mod (now the FoW mod) was the first major WW2 mod for A2. Their map is, if i remember correctly, a bit larger than 150x150km and it's of part of England and a very very large chunk of France, including Paris. I would show a screenshot, but it seems FoW pulled them. (to be replaced by updated screenshots eventually) It took me 30-45 minutes to fly across the English channel (at the absolute farthest point IIRC) so it's a very large map. (Looking at where the Channel Islands are located, I can't recall from memory if they are included on the map, but I don't think they were, as I think the Contentin Peninsula was on the western edge of the map.) -
We got the motherfucker!!! :yay::yay:

Would you like to play on this Iraq style map?
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to purepassion's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Maybe I'm missing something, but all I see is an addon request. You don't like the current desert/afghan/iraq maps that are available, so you want to get an exact list of what you do want, and then you want a terrain maker or a team of them to follow your precise instructions. IMHO we already have enough maps like that released or in the pipeline. My focus (and interest) is on areas that have never been seen before, such as: Camp Pendleton, CA - Possibly El Paso, TX (or another border town) - The DMZ - Russia (the possibilites are endless, one particular area that has my interest is a spot on the Kamchatka) Wyoming (Nuclear missile bases anyone?) -
['Serious Addons'] Release them here

wow. You must be really really blind. http://www.mediafire.com/?jvfp69nwozngmd1 -
OA has a lot of useful objects, other than the houses. Personally, any terrain done by me will use them.

AFAIK you can't use the "get out" option if the helicopter isn't low to the ground and almost completely stopped. "Get Out" and "Eject" are different things I believe.

Am i the only one sick of the royal wedding?
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to ArmAriffic's topic in OFFTOPIC
I meant no offense by the comment, and I wasn't trying to make fun of whoever those royals were, they just looked completely out of place, and I got a laugh at the way they looked. (I'm not being racist, anti-arab, or anything like that) @Zipper: I know it's not an Islamic outfit, nor did I say it was. -

Am i the only one sick of the royal wedding?
Darkhorse 1-6 replied to ArmAriffic's topic in OFFTOPIC
Or, if you go with the "Adam and Eve" version, then that means their children had children together, and so on, and so on, and so on, and i could keep going til i was 90 and not be finished with the "and so on" text. :D Therefor, we are all related, meaning that George Bush and Osama Bin Laden share the same blood. :p OT: Yes, I am sick of it. It's been on all the shopping channels, TLC, BBC America, CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, PBS, possibly Syfy, possibly USA Network, and I believe it's even been mentioned on HBO. (Caught part of it this morning, Kate(Catherine?) seemed to have an odd look on her face during the vows, I think it was sinking in that she will most likely be the next Queen. Also, did anybody catch the very Arab looking guy (or possibly 3 guys) sitting on the right side of the church? Full garb, headdress and everything, in the middle of what seemed to be mostly stuffy looking old British people. (Not an insult;)) Oh, to read their minds. :D) -
So, back on topic... Warning, an actual spoiler, or half of a spoiler. Well, maybe only slightly more than what your TV Guide will show you if you look at the episode before it airs. ;) According to Wikipedia this is the basic plotline for the next episode. This just can't end well in my opinion.

No... please read the post right before yours. The author of this addon has been suspended, therefor there will not be any updates until his suspension is over. -

@Restrepo... where are the porta-johns... :p I'm in love with this map. -
This thread has nothing to do with walking in vehicles like VBS2 or anything like that. It's about having the passengers "Get Out" exit point inside the back of the chinook, like vehicle "Get Out" points are right next to the driver/passenger side doors.
-
@Banshee: Last time I checked brg_africa was included in the RAR/7z, so the issues your having would probably be related to how the Six Updater divided it.
-
Shouldn't it be possible for the AIs "Get In" point to stay where it is (at the back of the Chinook, right at the ramp) and just move the "Get Out" point to inside the chopper a couple feet? If so then none of the above would affect anything (Except for the Chinook taking off early, but I've seen that with everything from the Osprey to the Little Birds), as when the AI load into a Chinook (for me atleast) they run around the bird til some magic sense says they are where they need to be, then they line up, then they run single file to the Chinook's ramp and get in, one at a time.

Which is why my vote is for North Korea/the DMZ or China. I actually have some other ideas, but for now I'm just giving what was put on the poll as an example. Personally, while a month sounds attractive to everybody here, I think two months would be better, as that would allow for RL issues and would also give us (I volunteered to help with this) enough time to either make the few custom objects needed, or find somebody else who would be willing to help do it.
-
Yes. Personally, I think there are enough desert/Afghan maps in the works. Just be patient. This project should he something new, something different.

The most likely reason is to avoid a lawsuit from the company that makes the real aircraft. Although why this would be an issue now I don't know, as they have used realistic models in the past, and they also are careful not to use the real company names (Coyota anybody? :p) on the vehicles/aircraft. *Edit* Also, they don't have to be exact copies, as TKOH is set in the ArmAverse....

DSRV = Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle, AKA the last hope for the crew of a sunken submarine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swimmer_Delivery_Vehicle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Submergence_Rescue_Vehicle OT: Looking good Faint. Is there a maximum depth, or can you go as deep as you want? (Knowing you may die, of course. :D) -
The "Get Out" option doesn't appear unless a vehicle is pretty much stopped, so that wouldn't (or shouldn't I guess I should say) be an issue.
