  1. I remember when I first played ARMA I got a headache and nausea. Originally head bob was at about 50% for me. I turned it off for a little while then I put it back around 20% recently. It increases the immersion in my opinion so whenever I get headaches or anything I just suffer through it, because in real war you can't quit because of a headache.

  2. I believe it can [be respected]. I would appreciate your work even more if it was without the necessary Project Reality pbo, but it's alright. I'll probably still try both mods and I personally won't be doing any griping about your decision. Enjoy the further creation of the map! I loved Shekhabad and I'm sure I'll love Wardak Province!

  3. Several years ago, an elite squad of warriors infiltrated deep into the mountains of Takistan to hunt down and eliminate a known terrorist leader "Osama". Their mission became the stuff of legend. Their fate became unknown. Their egos became bloated.

They were known as: the rebl men.

Animalmother, I'm guessing this is a coop mission you're working on? If so, awesome! It looks and sounds very fun and exciting, and I'll be looking forward to playing it in the future.

  4. Mikebart I felt compelled to inform you on how much I appreciate you creating and publishing Mana Island.

I recently made an amphibious assault mission with loads of troops on the western side of the island and I had the greatest of times playing the quick and simple mission. Once the battle died down and the invading force took the main hill overlooking the beach opposing forces took to the highly vegetated areas and fought like guerrillas, and throughout observing/participating in this battle I was constantly thinking how beautiful of terrain this island has.

So thank you for creating a true work of art and keep up the great work.

  5. There's a pond on the south eastern side of the Takistani town Ravanay that I was able to walk on top of. I was playing a hunting mission at the time, and as I was exploring the pond asking myself why I'm able to walk on the water I was attacked by my prey.

Another spot that I've come across are the dune like areas in the north west section of the Zargabad map. Located at grid 020 066. Having a shootout is a lot of fun in the area since you can bound between ditches and dunes.

Lastly on the Takistan map. On the western side of it, is the Naygul Valley. It is an extremely rocky yet oddly beautiful valley.

This is an awesome thread, and has inspired me to put a lot of hours towards exploring the armaverse. As Richie said we have to keep it going!

  6. what is weapons rest?

When you lay your gun on a surface and let it be supported by something other than your front hand. Let's say for example you are on top of a building, and the building has a low wall. You crouch, press a button and it deploys your weapon onto the wall for a more stable firing position. It is a prominent feature that the popular modification ACE has made.

  7. I'm posting on behalf of my friend who loves ACE Mod but is having issues with it,

Does anyone happen to know why a person could have issues with putting items in his rucksack, unable to put on glasses or goggles, and the ACE Keys? Everything else seems to work fine with his ACE except what was previously stated. Could it be possibly because he is running CAA1 or not be running ACEX_PLA when I am (an undedicated server host)?

Thanks for any help or speculations in advance.

  8. Thank you for such a quick release Emery and the Generation Kill Mod team. It made my night. I'm currently toying around in the editor now with Generation Kill scenarios. Unfortunately I'm not a talented enough mission editor to make missions "release" worthy but I want to thank you for making this sort of thing possible. The icing on the cake is that the HMMVW radios play radio chatter from the show. Great work. Sincerely looking forward to the map as well!
