The island has so much to it, its gona a ton a fun modding in OFP: DR. Especially that volcano. And if the say its gona have a 30km view distance, then it will. Serves no benefit to them for lying about it.

Hey they managed to make the non grass bit in the distance actually look good and not look really whacky like some games. The smoke looks really nice and environment is nice. Pity OFP: DR isnt coming out soon, i wanted to compare the arma2 and ofp: dr demo to see whihc mil sim i wanted to buy.

Fortunately i dont see it like that, all hands on previews says its the exact opposite of bf2. So meh.

Hey looks like the 8800/9800 will be able to run it on highish settings after all.

We don't have an 18+ rating in Australia, it will be ma15+ like everything else. All that stuff is in USA data, ana the price etc.

Yeah just been looking into this, but yeah i dont like tooms website. Been looking at there benchmarks and stuff. They had the 8800GT and said they only got 55fps on high settings with hawx, aa and af on, at 1650 x 1050. Yet my system with an 8800GT gets 65-75 fps with same settings. Meh.

You forgot the 8800GT and 9800GT, both better than 8800GTX n stuff.

VAC isnt very good at all. In valve's cs: source, hackers run free and never get banned on VAC servers. Good thing we have good admins to ban em themselves.

Im not trolling, i got a DELL 22" screen a year ago. After 2 weeks of it working normally the thing all of a sudden starts smoking up and cracking at the back, then my screen goes black and she never woke up again. I called em and got a new screen delivered the next day. I figured they were like this for everyone so i always tell ppl how much i love DELL haha. And yes, i probably wont buy a DELL again, i'm probably gona just call some decent local computer parts place and select some bits, then get them to put it together for me, all for a much smaller price than just getting a high end DELL. Its still not as cheap as building myself but i've had bad experiences even trying to do upgrades by myself in the past.

I seriously love DELL, best customer service ever. You ring up, say your screen is broken and then they check you still got warranty. This all takes 5 minutes. The next day your new screen turns up. Gogo DELL. On the subject, i prefer to pay more for a PC than build it myself. Really cant be bothered trying to build a PC, why ot just buy a super PC and be done with it?

Yeah but remember the Arma1 community in Australia? It was really small. Kinda hoping it would be bigger for Arma2.

No point in getting it if it isnt sold retail in Australia. Only the few die hard fans would order it from overseas. The community will be smaller than Arma1 for sure.
