  2. hello snake man, good to hear that. i havnt done any missions yet cause i wasnt satisfied with the jungle feeling on la drang map, but when i saw razoreniya map, wich delivers a quite good jungle feeling, i started to edit a few simple mp coop missions,still very early stage and i still need the revive script and a good functioning pc. i will upload a small vid with the vte mod on razoreniya island to show some impressions of how good ur mod looks on razoreniya. ;) im already trying my best to edit some coop missions and merging a mission to your new terrains is nothing difficult :) unfortunately im having a strange problem with my system as arma 2 shuts down my pc after a few minutes in editor and i have no idea what causes the problem, because it happens only in editor. i can play arma 2 for hours but as soon as i start the editor u can bet it shuts down within minutes. its driving me nuts when im in a hurry to place some triggers and suddenly i see a black screen :mad: i will get op.arrowhead soon and see if i will have the same problem in editor. anyway im looking forward to ur release and hoping to relive the good old arma1 times when we played with so many players for hours in online coop missions:bounce3:
  3. hello mate, can you pls reupload your files because im working on a vte mp revive mission on the razoreniya map (if my pc doesnt crash in arma all the time:mad:). im using vte with both hotfixes but i cant get norrins revive script to work. help would be much appreciated:D

    Arma-2 Demo Looks Like A Cartoon

    try medium settings and u should have at least a dual core cpu , better a quad core and at least 2 gb of ram. arma 2 ist way more demanding than bf 2 bad company because of the huge island and trees and cities. your videocard is ok but the cpu must have alot of power.
  5. wow, this list looks very promising. if i can make also a suggestion for a mobile spawn system, i would like to see a spawnplane like a c47 or the axis counterpart in it. it would work in 2 different ways : 1. like an ordinary plane flown only by a designated pilot who should just fly the c47 all the time to keep a spawnpoint near to a target area and let players para. 2. if the pilot can land the plane in a remote area, he should be able to build a small fob and a provisorily airstrip with the c47 placed in line to make it able to start and provide a spawnpoint and allow players to create some light vehicles . when the pilot takes off with the plane, the fob gets destroyed and the plane will be again a mobile spawn but must rtb to resupply, to make the pilot able to build a new fob somewhere else. its just an idea, perhaps some or all of this could make it into this awsome mod :)
  6. when i host a session my us-units have no rifles but when they respawn they have. is there a workaround to avoid this bug ?

  8. how can i make norrins revive script working? i think the problem is where it says "soldierwb" can revive so i guess that the 31st units are not listed as "soldierwb". can someone help pls?
  9. very good mod but i have a problem with the american units, they seem all to talk in russian or czech but the germans talk in english. is this a bug ?

  14. @Blueteamguy i think you killed your arma 2 installation. reinstall arma 2 , patch up the latest official patch and then read a guide for the modfolder method to make mods working without killing your installation. you cant just drop every modfile into your addons folder bcause some overwrite original files and you can get problems when you try to join servers without mods and many other problems. do not put addons and mods in the original arma2 addons folder NEVER NEVER NEVER
  15. great job snakeman and i want to report a few bugs : 1. when sitting inside heli you cant hear the heli sound but still the ambient sound with birds and all the other animals. 2.when piloting the huey and watch back over the shoulders you can watch through the heli 3.some voices are russian (or czech cant say exactly)
  16. wtf???? are you kidding us? wohoooo yeaterday i ask if there is any work in progress and today i get a download for a demo HAHAHA cant believe it rofl, downloading now :D edit : excellent snakeman im very happy now but i noticed one problem when flying in huey, i can hear the birds inside the cockpit but barely the rotorsound, but this must be a minor prob, nevertheless i wanted u to know it. ps. if u have noted this already i apologise , bcause of my excitement to start playing it immediately :rolleyes:
  17. aslong we can have vte on arma2 i dont care how you name your baby, you can name it "vte first not even a real alpha 0,0001" :) (but it would be better not, just for the record) cant say much about other releases, bcause i for myself am only interested in ww2 mods and vte so i never spent much time in forums were there is no news about ww2 mods or your awsome vte mod. the only reasons im going to arma1 forums is bcause i hope to get here news for arma2 projects but it would be better if ppl could find arma2 news in the apropriate forums. i believe most ppl dont ever visit arma1 forums bcause alot ppl never even played arma1 and started straight with arma2. news for the arma2 forums could be for example what islands,what kind of units , screenshots if there are any no matter what u post as wip the ppl will be glad to hear about a vietnam mod they never heared of before. it would be enough if ppl who are interested in vte for arma2 could have a place in bis forums where they can have a frequent quick look if there are any news in the development. dont expect ppl to start searching elsewhere if something happens for a mod. for most ppl nothing else than bis forums exists. however good to hear that you didnt abandoned your awsome mod:)
  18. hello snakeman, is there any news for vte ? are u working on vte 2? how about opening a discussion thread in arma2 forums? i hope you did not quit vte 2 we cant wait to see ANY news for vte 2. perhaps u can make at least vte final to work with CAA1, that would be great too. greetings from germany

    @wipman if you have arma 2 try avgani there, it works absolutely outstanding with everything on highest and even 5000 viewdistance. in arma 1 i couldnt even play that map with medium to low settings and more than 700 meter viewdistance. i have cpu amd x2 6000 , ati 4870 , 2 gb ram
  20. great news, but why is there no normandy mod thread at arma2 forums? you should open a thread for it, as i believe many ppl dont check arma1 forums, but would be very interested in a ww2 mod in arma2 :)

    Arma 1 abandoned?

    than you havent tried caa 1 mod to play sahrani or you have only a singlecore cpu. as much as i heared about caa1 EVERYONE has reported a HUGE performance boost between sahrani in arma 1 and sahrani with caa1 mod in arma2. many ppl run sahrani with 10 000 visibility , thats almost impossible in arma 1. the point is that arma2 uses multiple core cpus while arma1 uses only one. just search for a thread about caa 1 and look for yourself or simple try it if you havent yet :)

    Arma 1 abandoned?

    i think most ppl just like me , simple switched to arma 2 cause it runs in many ways much smoother and with the CAA 1 mod , u can see a huge performance difference between arma and arma2. i can play sahrani or avgani with at least 5000 visibility and everything on highest while in arma 1 it stutters even at 1500 visibility and medium settings. i hope there will be a way to play the old arma1 mods with caa 1 someday.

    WW2 - World War 2

    try red orchestra and the new amazing mod with western front "darkest hour". the maps differs from huge tankbattle maps to cityfights with combined arms and of course normandy and battle of the bulge maps. there is no ww2 game delivering the intense feeling of beeing in the middle of war like red orchestra and darkest hour. even battlegrounds cannot come close to it, but the maps in battleground are bigger thats true. there are also 2 ww2 mods in work for arma2 31st normandy and invasion 1944 mod
