  1. i have updated now to 10.8 catalyst, i will report if this artefacts occur.
  2. if im correct i got banned on this mandrake server in your sig, connected just today when it was yellow in my serverlist and when i connected a msg came up with : you were banned other servers wich should also be ok for 1.54 just msg : session lost i could connect only to a few servers wth the new patch and i guess it has something to do with the missions_e.pbo thingy. im trying this solution : http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1730858&postcount=2

    ArmA2:Oa Patch 1.54 released!

    i get this errors while updating : ARMA2 OA ArmA 2 OA: Updating version 1.52 to version 1.54... Update 1.52-1.53\EXPANSION\ADDONS\MISSIONS_E.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code: 1 Update 1.52-1.53\EXPANSION\ADDONS\MISSIONS_E.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code: 1 Update 1.52-1.53\EXPANSION\ADDONS\MISSIONS_E.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code: 1 Update 1.53-1.54\EXPANSION\ADDONS\MISSIONS_E.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code: 1 i have the dl version and it runs fine but i have no idea what this error means. any hints what to do? if reinstall can someone explain how to save my settings ?
  4. in pr:bf2 you could not pick up a kit from a guy you tked and you got punished and could not select any kit for a long time.
  5. wow this looks alot like the com rose from pr:bf2, it would be awsome to have this easy to use way for performing different actions, just AWSOME.
  6. well i have no other choice than test it all again, but yes i assure you that the system is absolutely clear of dust as i clean it up frequently, at least once in 2 months. the temperature reaches 60c at max but i will open the fan a little bit more. you might be right about the video mem, i have 512 mb in my hd4870 perhaps its a combination of heat and wrong vid mem adressing. i will try and test it all again.
  7. no i tried all settings in video memory, it occurs from highest to lowest video mem. but whenever i change it, it stops the artefacts for a short time but reapears after some time, mostly when im flying.

  9. i have this strange artifacts since a few days. hd 4870 with 10.6 cat than updated yesterday 10.7 still the artifacts ocur. my gpu is not over 60C and i havent overclocked anything. im using amd x2 6000 , hd4870,2gb ram and my settings are all on default 1280 x1024 postprocess off. i never had such problems even though i play both arma2 and oa since they came out. it started just with minor grafic glitches eg. one straw of wheat or grass grow up into the sky , or some rocks looked like this, very strange indeed:) i saw this bugreport and i think my problem is the same : http://dev-heaven.net/issues/2500 i just dont understand why it hasnt been there before. im using the betas btw i dont think they have anything to do with it though.

    Strange Graphic Bugs (Artefacts)

    i have the same problem with strange grafic glitches and sometimes its just blocking my view with crazy jumping big triangles dependent on where im looking to,lol. my card is ati 4870 driver 10.7 and 10.6 and it runs in the 60c , no probelems with any other game. edit : it seems that exactly this is my problem, even though i never had this before and im playing both arma2 titles arma since they came out : http://dev-heaven.net/issues/2500
  11. i dont think it can fail more than any other mod fails at big playernumbers. i know pr for many years and im sure that many players who will play pr:arma2 will be ppl who will buy arma2 oa just for playing pr with a better engine than bf2 ;) hundreds if not thousands of new players will flood arma2 just to play pr. imho pr will be not so dependent for players from the already existing arma community but most will come from the already existing pr community wich uses the bf2 engine at the moment. as some1 who started with ofp im pretty sure that pr is the key element wich was allways missing in all those years for public tvt mp in arma. organised tvt WITHOUT beeing forced to be in a clan or in a closed community just beeing forced to be a teamplayer. if it works like in bf2 u can just connect randomly to any populated public pr server and play like in a organised tournament or clan community. my bet is: pr:arma2 will be a great success for the pr community wich numbers are in the thousands and alot arma players will adopt and love pr just like they do right now with arma2 :)
  12. i have a problem with hurtgenwald , it crashes in arma2 1.07 and in combined aswell. normandy or nome winter runs fine but when i try to open hurtgenwald it crashes. edit : problem solved, it seems a file was broken from betons addon , i just replaced all with the latest hurtgenwald and betons addon and now it works like a charm.:)
  13. all this server debate is soooo senseless, lol. why does anybody care how a mod team wants to make their own mod? like every mod in every game, like it or hate it or ignore it. pr is giving us some info about their mod and star wars fans could complain about the lack of tie fighters and so on but who cares? this is it. if ppl want to crack pr or use some modified pr mod, i dont doubt they can do it, i just doubt that anyone who likes pr and plays pr would even connect to such servers :) so its more or less a debate wich leads to nowhere :)

    yes i also noticed this yesterday it seems some things are broken with this beta as some missions simple do not start in editormode, rolling back to last beta before this.
  15. hello xeno, would it be possible for you to port a domination mission for vte mod? i mean when there is enough stuff implemented so we can use more vehicles and all what is needed. right now the vte-mod lacks of popular missions like dom or warfare . atm its only a few coop and this doesnt seem to attract enough ppl just like for vanilla arma2 :). that would be great if you could do that :D

  19. you are right, i tested it with the newest norrins revive but i used an older script and this made the conflict, now the revive works indeed.

    Revive Script

    well i use 0.2 because 0.46 didnt worked for me (if its the quotations i know why :D) anyway it worked allways good in normal revive missions with respawns at base or mhqs, i just wanted to make this time a mission where the team is on its own till the end and force ultimate teamplay on all members, so they depend on each other to either finish the mission or lose and thats why i dont want respawns. i had a similar mission in arma 1 and the mission ended when all players were unconscious. unfortunately i lost the mission so i cant check the script parameters but im sure i did only change the first line from 0 to 1 : // GENERAL REVIVE OPTIONS (Off = 0, On = 1) _mission_end_function = 1; //array no.0 - mission ends when all players are unconscious this doesnt seem to work here, when i test it alone in multiplayer with disabled ai. i fall unconscious and nothing happens, im just lying there and waiting for revive.

    Revive Script

    hello norrin, i like your script and have used it in many coop misions but i tried for first time a mission without respawning oportunity so the mission would end if all players are unconscious but when i turn it on in the script like this : nothing happens and my player remains endless in an unconscious status. is there any trigger i have to use to give me the end of mission? help is much apreciated from anybody of course :)
  23. sure? it doesnt seem to work for me. i have both hotfixes and cant figure out what is going wrong. it works with any faction else then vte. btw can you tell me the exact faction name wich i must use in a zone restriction module? eg : GUE for guerilla

  25. hello everyone, i love arma, arma2 and op arrowhead. i figured out a good keysetting wich makes things easier but why in hell i cannot reassign the backspace command key to my mouse ? its getting very annoying when i always need to use the backspce key while in a middle of a fight or driving or whatever is demanding to have my left hand on wasd keys. i liked the system in arma1 , i could command every unit with just my mouse but since arma 2 and op ar it has been really difficult to command my ai units. this is ANNOYING pls give me a hint how i can reassign this key to my mouse or change this with a patch in the future, that would be great:)
