For those terrain lovers, if your currently looking for terrains on my
All Arma 3 Terrains Compilation List
it will be hidden as i had just updated it with over 50+ new terrains, thing is
anytime i update the list the forum hides it for security and needs approval, so if you dont see it this is why.
I report the thread after updating it so hopefully soon it will be available again. Cheers!

I'm new to the A3 community, so forgive me if this has already been asked. I have Googled, Wiki'd, and Bing'd every resource and it would appear most of the issues could be traced to something called Armaholic; if it isnt there, then there s likely not a fix for it.
GitHub had a few things but I could not figure out how to download and install "patches" to CUP, ACE, or ACRE files.
Is there a simple fix to correct a corrupted or missing cfg/dll/lod, etc. file in order to "satisfy" whatever corrupted or missing file is causing an error?
A lot of what I have found is related to faulty CUP, NIMS, or ACE 3 files that are either outdated or are no longer compatible with current mods.
As such, unless I am oversimplifying it, wouldn't it be possible to correct any missing file with a simple pbo "fix" in order to correct the problem?
If this is not a viable solution, PLEASE provide some guidance as to how to get around outdated or corrupted mods!

so you wont find that site anymore, what you want for mods is the steam workshop, all the mods in the community will be there.

Ya in the Arma 3 launcher for the mod your having issue with, just repair the mod, about all you need to do.
Though with ace with its dll files, what i would do is go to the Arma 3 directory and in the Workshop folder seen here:
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3\!Workshop
Locate the mods there, and then open them, delete the dll files for ace, and then start the launcher and repair the mod, that will
give you fresh and latest version of the mod.
As for mods that arent compatible with some other mods, then you'll need to look for a compat for that mod if there is one, if there
isn't then, the only other way is to run the mods together that arent compatible and then make sure your logs are on and see what the rpt says
it will usually give an error, or something information on whats going on.
Either way if a mod isn't compatible then either see if the author of the mod can make a compat or update their mod,
if no luck there then move on, or learn some code and come up with your own compat. I would search first.

My list here:
is not gone, anytime i update the list be it change, adjust, fix, and or add new terrains too it, the forum hides
the list because of all the links, its a security thing.
So when i update the list i have to report the list to the moderators so they can approve and unhide the list,
when they do the list will show up again, that could take a day, a few days or a week that depends on
whos on and when they see it, its out of my hands and i have no control over it.
So please understand that when the list disappears then i have updated it, im sorry it works that way but
that just forum security doing its job wish it could change as all the links are from the same place but
it is what it is, i have no control over it.
My suggestion is to follow the thread, and favorite the collections, as the thread is linked

Would like to share something with the community here since im here alot, home away from home so to speak.
As some of you whom come to know me through pm talks and maybe through steam chat, i work a 3rd shift, full time job a night (9pm-6-9am)
well i normally go to bed about 12noon everyday, wake up about 7:30pm to leave by 8pm and start at 9pm, anyways last night (12th) i get up turn on my phone as usual (i have a flip phone), and as im getting dressed for work, i get 2 text messages from my mother who lives in Florida with my dad, im in Illinois USA btw.
Anyways the first text says "Grandpa isn't doing so well, and aunt and uncle are there along with grandma" that was at 12:30pm about 30min after i went to bed
, then the 2nd text she sent was at about 1:09pm saying "grandpa has passed" 😭.... Well that just devastated me.
My grandparents live in Ontario Canada. at the top of the peninsula off the Georgian Bay, they have lived there since the 1950's, they've been farmers for like 50yrs or something, but they retired like in 2000 i think and were living in a house across from the farm and my uncle took over the farm. My grandparents are from Holland from friesland and lived through the occupation of the Germans during WW2, crazy shit btw. For the past 6yrs i think they have been in a retirement home as both my grandparents health deteriorated my grandpa is 93, and my grandma is 91, they live in like a condo type place that has a nurse staff to watch over them.
Well for the past 2 yrs, i would call them once a month to see how they are doing, my grandma in better shape then my grandpa and my grandpa has had triple bypass like 10yrs ago and was doing fine for a while, but in the past couple of years things just got worse, so he would have heart issues, and fluid would collect in his lungs, and almost everyday they would have to drain it. Well last night apparently he passed from it.
As i drove to work i literally started crying thinking about it, by the time i got to work i was all choked up and trying to hold back my tears,
i was more torn about it at work then while on the road, it was hard for me to keep a straight face, no one knew what had happened, i only told the guy i work with and i broke my face and started crying, i couldn't help it.
So for like 4 hours the tears would come and go, i would get so choked up, i thought i had to go home because i couldn't hold myself together but i persevered and got through the night, im still sad and still feel like crying i couldn't handle it at work though, i never felt like that before.
Thing is this is very personal to me because for my first 5yrs of my life, my mother left for nursing school, and left me with her parents on the farm,
so my grandparents, raised me for those 4-5 first years, my grandpa was literally my father as my real father... well never met him so im not going to go there.
I was considered a youngest brother out of 8 uncles, and 3 aunts and my mother being the oldest, anyways before i give you my whole life story lol
just thought i'd share something that was sad and very dear to me that happened last night. Cheers!

Another thing is during the time when the funeral for him was being setup, apparently in the past years he wrote a small
novel like a biography of his entire life, so the family had made a small book out of it and published like a hundred copies or something
i received one in the mail from my aunt who lives in the former house of my grandparents, i have to say .... what an amazing heartfelt read
this guy, the amount of things, places, people, and things he did, the amount of work this guy did and the experiences
was profound.
I'll take a little clip or piece from what he said in his book:
Quote" In the years that Germany occupied Holland (1940 -1945), every boy and man over the age of 16 years, had to go to work
in Germany unless you had a special permit not to go. We all had to have identity cards, which showed your birth date and
other particulars including a photo. When i turned 16, my parents had my identity card changed to make it look like i was 15 years old instead of 16,
because all the boys 16 years and older had to go to Germany to work. Later on when the change was processed, i was sent to the police station
for a new one which said i was 15. The policeman i talked to was a good one, and we got away with it.

In Holland in those days, all the boys 18 years old had to train as soldiers, first we had to undergo a health and aptitude test,
to see what we were suitable for .They discovered that i had high blood pressure problems, and because of that i did not have
to become a soldier, that is when i started thinking about emigrating.

was around $400.00 in those days, then it took 12 days to get to Quebec city. "
He goes into details about the boat trip and then once landed where he went from there, but he settled in owen Sound Ontario.

This is bit of a late reply to this status update, but i wanted to add something to it i though was quite profound
when i learned about it. I'm not a church goer by any means but i respect my grandparents wishes and beliefs
as they were raised and lived by it.
What i wanted to add was, my grandparents and my grandma still to this day
have been going to the same church since the church was founded back in the 1950's, from what i learned some months ago
i think it was, my grandpa was one of the founding members of that church among a few others rather amazing tbh, i mean
its nothing really crazy but it just goes to show how old people really are.

This past thursday there was a live stream on Utube of the church service which my grandparent were members of that
church even when i was living with them, seeing that place on screen was rather moving, some of my uncles and aunts were there too, some drove
from Alberta for the service. As for the burial not something i can make because of no passport and well border restrictions.

Real problem started when i clicked on a link to a website and logged in with steam there, other then that in my 15yrs on steam never had such issue,
but i thought it was an actual friend on my steam list that sent me a chat to help them about CSO, apparently i wasn't the only one whom got the same exact message with the same website link. But ya i agree a good PW helps, will keep it in mind.

Ah Lobito! Thanks my friend ya we chatted briefly about it, thanks for understanding too, what a headache.
I actually lost a friend to it though as i had 16 friends that were blocked, seems this friend whom had an odd name with
dashes and other characters falls short of my memory even though we chatted on occasion, im saddened that im unable to locate him
to clear up the misunderstand has i had done with another friend whom was also blocked and somehow befriended.
All i can do is wait, and im terribly sorry this bot or whatever it was had messaged almost everyone on my list, i got the situation sorted with all my friends
majority of them knew it wasn't me as i dont use the word "bro" or "brah" 🙄 in my sentences, maybe dude but not those, anyways again thanks for the understanding. Cheers!

Thanks man, ya it is sad but the guy is 93 so hes been struggling with his health for past 10yrs mostly heart related
my grandma is still alive shes 91 or 92 i think i forget but i think shes doing ok, still need to have a talk with her
to see how she is.
Whats neat though is when i was living with them as a kid i knew their parents, i met and visited them a few times
its rare these days i think. me and my mother are going to have a good talk on Monday as she has to work the weekend so
im sure its hard for her to lose her father. Anyways thanks for the support guys!

@jgaz-ukyou should really be asking on the CUP thread not asking Alwarren.
But to answer your question do this:
Name your soldier that is to use the spotlight, lets say his name is spot
then lets name the spotlight light, then in the soldier's init box put the following code
spot action ["SearchlightOn", light]
he will turn on the light.

I dont see that your initial question was answered, i have the same question, if you have your gun out the enemy should shoot you straight away, if you put your weapon away, they should still shoot you for a set time that you can determine with the sleep value.
With the scripts in this thread all seem to do checks on if your weapon is in our out, if its in, the enemy ignore you, (setcaptive true)
if its out you get shot (setcaptive false) but i want a way of doing separate checks on weapon in or weapon out with different sleep values if you know what i mean..

Got home from work today about 8am, as some of you know i work a 3rd shift.
All night long i've had a slight tooth ache, about halfway through the night i got two aspirin from my supervisor, so that knocked out the pain for almost 3hrs, then
it started up again towards the end of the night, guy i work with had some aspirin in his car, so took that before i left for home, worked.... for an hour.
I get home 8am, i get to bed ended up tossing and turning til 11am, from there til 3pm i tried everything under the sun til take this pain away i was in agony, finally
got hold of a dentist on his emergency number, he told me to take a certain type of aspirin and then he sent a prescription order for antibiotics to a local pharmacist by me.
I go there get everything, take them, lie down pain subsides after about an hour, so i go back to bed its now like 7pm sat, i actually fall
asleep as im so tired, been up since 8pm the previous day, tossed and turned but felt like i slept, woke up 3hrs later and here i type this, my left bottom gumline is inflamed,
i got an ice pack on it, already taken another aspirin and antibiotic which is taking its dam time to do anything.
The irritation and pressure are driving me mad, hard to even concentrate, ya i should go to the dentist, problem is their all closed and dont open up til monday, i already have an
appointment to get my tooth pulled, im actually looking forward to it, i had so much planned, and to do for this weekend, and so far i spent almost half of it in pain
and without sleep, now that im up i cant get back to sleep, wtf, thats my weekend so far.

Heres the situation, went to the dentist little after 7am this morning, was there for about 2hrs, did some paperwork, and 1 xray, told me the
teeth had to come out because they are both infected. The whole tooth extraction took about 2 minutes!
They got the broken tooth out, and the one next to it which had a hole in it, they had to sucher the gums because of the hole and bleeding i had,
so im sitting here with a numbed cheek, no pain, and gauze in my mouth.
Insurance covered 80% of the fee, only cost me $171 i get my insurance through work.
I got an appointment to go back in 2 weeks for a checkup to see how im doing. About it everything worked out, just waiting for the numbness to subside,and the remaining swelling to go away, but no more pain all is good now. 😌
Well that was my weekend, couldn't record any new tutorials like i wanted so will be doing that this week, and my new project 😉

That sucks, toothache imo is one of the worst pains you can deal with.
I been doing garlic on and off, its a nightmare to do but then when your done with it, you have no pain and less swelling,
it only lasts a few hours, so i get a few hours of sanity back. Very little sleep this weekend, mostly tossing and turning, i plan to call into work Monday after i get my
tooth yanked, as i have 1 embedded in my gum which is the other half of a former tooth, one next to it has a small hole so i should be able to save it.

I dont have any alcohol, but what i did do is get a clove of garlic and chew on that on the side that is hurting, and been sitting here chewing on it for little over 20min
my eyes watering, and its BURNING! 😄
but guess what, pain is gone! And the swelling has reduced to like 3/4 of what it was! Nature's antibiotic i should have known and tried it sooner,
would have saved me almost a whole day of anguish.
Ahhhh relief after all this time,
thing is im not even tired now that i got but a few hrs of sleep, im so wired from all the aspirin i took since last night which was useless.
I cant see a dentist til Monday, i have 2 teeth that are having the issues, but the one is fully intact except a small cavity at the gumline, the other is gone, like half of it is
embedded in the gum.
I dont like the idea of taking prescription antibiotics, because they key the good bacteria in your gut, however garlic is
a major immune booster, and has killed the pain!
Well thanks for your interest if your were reading this, i may post again once i get the tooth sorted on monday, now i can actually play and work on something
now that things are well at least not driving me nuts pain wise, i would have settled for a broken arm over a tooth ache. cheers!

Lol trip is over man, i went at the end of May, thanks anyways.
I actually worked tho, my brother, my dad and myself worked on my brother's 2 decks, we worked from sun up to sun down, about 14-16hr days for a week
we basically framed the deck, but my brother paid for everything and i went home with a sunburn, and $1200 😉
My brother finished the rest of it.

Haven't written on here in a while,
last time i said something was about the situation with my truck how it broke down on the way to work, rather died on me,
was a 1997 Chevy S10 owned it for 18yrs.
Well End of October i bought a car from my neighbor 2 buildings over from me as i live in an apartment, this guy is in his 60's, and retired, he has 3 cars,
one of which i bought his oldest which was a 1995 Ford Taurus, body is in mint condition, no rust, interior is pristine, just about new everything, 65,000 miles on it
the guy babied it, and is original owner aside his father whom bought it when the car first came out, but passed away some months after.
Well bought the car for $1200, it drove fine, no issues, all i put into it was oil change, gas, and a car wash, as soon as it got cold transmission started
acting up, it got worse to the point where it wouldn't go past 40mph so it wont shift into 4th gear. Now December about 2 weeks ago now, on the way home from work,
i got half way home, stopped at a store picked up a couple things i needed (food), go to leave, turn onto the main road and my steering locks up, wtf...
Pulled into a parking lot next to me, had to call for a tow as you couldn't steer the car, got it towed back home.
Had a mechanic come out and look at it, says rack and pinion went out, and is jammed, no leaks, another issue we discovered is the engine cradle is badly
rusted, so now it becomes a safety issue, another wtf.
So here i am for almost 2 weeks getting a ride to work, lucky from a guy i work with and for 8yrs at that,
anyways my mother sends me a chat message on skype on Christmas day and tells me to call my dad on his cell phone as she has
to work and he has off, so i call, talk to my dad he knows about my car situation, so he says he found a car that hes going to buy me,
only has 113,000 miles on it, had only one owner, and was used only by a government agency which kept up on the maintenance.
Hes going to take it to a shop and get it checked out, with another mechanic as he used to work on cars himself, clean it up, ect,.
and drive it up to where i live which is like a few states north of him as he lives in Florida, im in Illinois.
So this will happen right after new years, well hearing this i was austruck, and surprised as first i was going to ask him how i can pay him back
and he said dont worry about it, he says just focus on your debt you been working on, and getting ahead.
So i got to say my new years will start off to a great start, im going to have to salvage the other car because you cant drive it, pay off the
little remaining of my debt i have, and this new year i have some big compiling projects i been wanting to do for the arma3 community but been stressed
out and bogged down with real life bullshit, like debt and car troubles since August, as well as alot of overtime at work 10-12+hrs a night to be exact as
we are in the busy season, the money helps but trying to do projects for arma when your tired, your not going to get to far or at all.
I wish i can do my projects full time, as im getting sick of my job, been at it for 8yrs working 9pm to 7am 3rd shift schedule, i hope the new year will bring
me some new ideas to get out of my job too as i'd rather work for myself online then killing myself at a job which takes most of your energy.

Hey guys a new tutorial video i created.
After viewing a few videos on the subject i found them not very efficient, or professional if you will, lacking details,
and somewhat sloppy on how they presented the information, so i created my own.
As simple as the information in the video it is, presentation is a matter of writing a script, so the information
you are presenting is organized and accurate. Then after recording, editing the video took the longest i spent over 8hrs
on it to add the right comments at the right points, and implement subtle music too as to not distract the view from the information.
Also is a written guide in the video's description with time stamps for the steps and some important points.
More tutorials to come!

- CUP_WheeledVehicles_UAZ - (CUP Vehicles)
- Desert - (Cup Terrains)

Thats overkill you dont need to do that, its not a game issue, you'll still get the same errors if you load the same mission up without those mods.
your issue is not loading mods that the mission needs, and they are RHSUSF, CUP Vehicles, and CUp terrains.
or edit the mission.sqm and remove those three dependencies and all should work.
Its pretty simple, dont overthink it, just load the mods, or edit the mission.sqm unless you binerized it.

Hey mcduke,
Ya you'll need a player and then the rest to be playable.
When you get kicked back to the lobby most times that usually means that the server is missing addons or mods the mission requires.
But i've had missions too where there was revive already defined or set and being used, and i added another revive on top of it forgetting to turn the other one off, and i got kicked to the lobby.
If you ever have issues with your server, always refer to the rpt or the server's logs, it should tell you what the issue is.
But try that and see if it works.
