    Can't join Multiplayer Servers

    If your game was working before you changed the userconfig, then all i can assume is that you did something wrong in the userconfig. replace the userconfig with a new one from the store folder and try the game if you still got the same problem then its something else. what are your computer specs, and what game are you playing Arma2 CO? and is it patched to latest? also MP related issues are best to be posted in MP: http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?f=87

    Excellent! thollis just a tip if you run into issues in the future for whatever just post your computer specs, like your cpu, gpu,OS and the game, as your first post is overkill of info and not really needed.

    What Mosh said, but also anytime you get issues with your game be it small or big post the following: computer specs: -cpu -graphics card -Ramm -Operating system Game: -What game -Is it patched -when do you get your issue starting up or ingame stuff like that, this helps those would be helpers like myself to be informed about your situation that way you dont waste time with misc posts playing a guessing game trying to find outif you meet the game requirements, or if its patched, ect, this is just another method of a process of elimination which in the end helps you get back into game. Most of the time questions have already been asked and answered, so first thing is first when you have an issue Search first http://forums.bistudio.com/search.php if you dont find your answer or posts relevent to your question or issue then post with a descriptive thread title, and from their you should get a response. hope that helps.

  8. Turn off Post processing effects in the video options. I dont know why that is even in the game, i mean if you turn your head real quick or turn around quick your vision dont blur, its not realistic.

    If you use GL4: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8848&highlight=GL4 it will make the Ai smarter, now for example in your mission if you have multiple enemy squads, or even friendlies around and a squad is on the attack but is getting beat they will call and communicate to other Ai squads to support them.

    It really comes down to how ou want to play your game, alot of games dont give you this option, but Im sure your really asking how this could be implemented into the main game by BIS, and tbh I dont think it will happen but like anything in the suggestions forum Im sure BIS reads what is been said and takes note of the feedback. But too if you want a 3d map in your game the look at that link I posted in the one post and see if you can bring to Arma2, it should work maybe not sure, i'll take a look at it myself.

    Well I resized the 1399 pic to 2048 even to 1024, but no matter what the size its like the game makes the pic 3x bigger it stays the same size no matter what the changed or resolution is. Im missing something here.

    Ya makes sense, in one way i guess it really dont matter. Opinions, are like A**holes everyone has one. What they should do is do away with opinions and review and all the biased BS, you end up getting folks buying the game based on some meathead's opinion, thats not accurate, this is one reason why every game should have an up to date demo all patched. Most demos are crap they basically give you an idea how the game plays, but if theres bugs it leaves a bad impression making it a 50/50 chance that a new they might buy it. Let BIS and the community here develop some reviews, and great videos demonstrating stuff, we dont need some idiot sitting at his desk who barely played the game give his opinionated review on a game that needs to be experienced, as far as im concerned rank dont mean diddly squat. Oh boy dont the guy in first place feel special now, big whip. The Media nothing but a bunch of gossip hoggers with nothing better to do. The guy that cares about a game plays the game, you dont play a game nor buy a game cuz its ranks number whatever you play it cuz its cool, fun, and has things you like, enjoy and whatever else. BIS set the standards for the industry, as far as Im concerned and they deserve their credit!

    Well obviously its clearly marked, im really asking other then their "feeling" there must be something that helps them or gives them the idea based on position for the rank, I mean what exactly are they determining that makes it what it is. Theres alot of games out there that isn't as complex and huge like BIS games, more so with Arma2 and OA now, why now they choose us to be 13 over maybe 5 or even 2. I mean Oblivion is a great game granted, and you can mod the shit out of it like Arma 2. For Wow how do they even compare Arma2 to a MMorph like that its not the same thing.

    No my pic already had 1366 size. I can convert pics to paa np, it just any pic I convert the game makes the pic bigger then what I want, no matte what size I change the pic to the game renders the pic the same size. The smaller the pic the worse the pic looks, so higher res is needed, any ideas on how to solve this? I tried 2048 but dont matter game makes it bigger than normal.

    A2WarMod Release

    Welcome guys and thank you. I was working on a custom loading screen so when you started the game you would see this pic as well as see another type pic when loading a mission or even when loading something in the editor. http://inlinethumb30.webshots.com/861/2387229670100938045S600x600Q85.jpg Well i got it to work but the problem is the game makes the pic 3 x bigger then the original size, and it just kinda of ruins it. I had a config for it and everything and it was a small addon included which you could take out easily with no issues, but again, unless someone knows how to fix it so that i can have custom pic loading up then I got to leave it out. Whats funny though is it works perfect in Combined Ops. Problem is with Combined Ops version of WarMod which is a month or so from release if I have Blastcore in the mod then blastcore's loading screen overrides the WarMod one :j: rather frustrating when your not a 100% sure on how to configure some of these things. Well anyways, let me give you guys an update on where I am at with the patch, and what is actually being released. UPDATE There will be 3 released versions: A2WarMod Full Version 1.3 A2WarMod Ace Compatible Full version 1.3 A2WarMod Patch version 1.3 The A2WarMod Full Version 1.3 will be the Full A2WarMod with patches 1.2 and 1.3 applied already. This version will be those folks who dont have A2WarMod and want to get it. The A2WarMod Ace Compatible Full version 1.3 Like the one above is for those that play with ACE and are downloading WarMod for the first time. The A2WarMod Patch version 1.3 will be for those who already have A2WarMod and already have the 1.2 patch applied. The 1.3 version patch has a couple of updates, and some new additions ;) i think you guys will like. The Full Versions 1.3 have all fixes, and updates applied to them and the patches as well. Once I release and you guys start playing with it, im sure some things might come up that I possibly missed in testing but overall when you run A2WarMod there are no error messages coming up or problems that I have come across, its stable. Like ususal with a mod liek this theres bound to be some sort of issues that might arise so if and when they do then just report them like you guys have always done and we'll look into it and see how we can get it straightened out. Currently I have these to do yet: Record video footage of mod Create a updated Release Page for Armaholic Submit to Armaholic Update A2WarMod Release thread All this is posted on my website:http://warmod.webs.com/ where I give a percentage of where I am at and how far I got to go yet, as well as what has been completed. What will take the longest now is the recording and editing of video footage, before that I will create the updated release page that way i can just focus on recording, as once i submit to Armaholic then I'm pretty much done at that point til i get a link for downlaod from them which can be a 1-3 days all depends. Yes you should be able to join the server with no issues, as long as you have the mod the server requires, and you game has the latest patch that the server is running, and you have battleye you should be able to get on np. What you see and or experience ingame versus another player will be different unless you both have the same thing running obviously. But for the servers, let me explain how the server has their setup for when they require a mod. Theres a code in the server's cfg which is this code: equalModRequired = 1; which means: Clients (this means the players joining the server) require the exact same modfolder naming, order and amount as the server. 1 means active, 0 disabled. So if a server has this code running in their cfg then lets say the server only has ACE2 running and nothing else, then you will need ACE2 to play, but if the server has ACE2 and not the latest version then if I remember correctly you need the same version too. If a server admin setsup his server right he should have what mods he is running in the title line, thats what I would do if I had mods on the server. My gameserver called 3PGD WarMod is a private server pretty much anyone can join the server if they know the pw but there are no mods on the server as I dont have any missions on the server that require mods. All the missions built that are on the server are custom mp, with many scripts. Now this is something I think alot of servers should do, is just build or run missions that dont require mods, I personaly think theres already plently of units and what not to play with in the game, but for a misson its really ones imagination that decides how a mission plays out, scripts can do miracles versus mods required.

    SLX Mod WIP

    If your using Arma2 alone with just SLX then I can only assume that maybe only one could crash or freeze one's game, but consider the majority of players have a modded game like myself. I think the issues come up with coflicts between SLX and other mods that could come close to doing possibly similer things, like Blastcore and SLX effects, and or GL4 and the SLX AI, with out those listed I dont get any issues, I can only assume that with other mods SLX will have problems. Amazing as much as everyone wants this mod you would think some of the mod genius in the community here could take up this project and get it optimized and or fix it so it dont crash or freeze, or either reconfigured. I'd try it but I got my own work on my own mod, I could look into it, if there is a few guys that know configs and what not, we could have our own little team to get this straightened out and maybe even up date it too with either new features or upgrade the existing ones.

REMOVE THESE PBOS: SLX_GL3: SLX_GL3_GiveRadios: SLX_VehicleEffects: SLX_NetCode: SLX_AI_Dodge: This is what we got so far, I personally have removed all the AI pbos, but outside of this list I have had no issues with freezing or crashes on a gameserver, no issues on my end for sp or mp. Mp seems more solid then sp. I noticed the more AI the greater the possibility of freezes and or crashes. If your game is lagging cant be for sure but with SLX expect a possible freeze.
