    WeaponSights (Half-Zoom) Overhaul

    Nice work AirShark, so you figured it out yourself, or you asked Axle for help? Plan on doing a workshop version? It shouldn't be the version axle and i made dont do that, they are independent zooms, though the difference is our mods were full zoom, so it might be that because this mod has a half of a full zoom that its effected. He might have to add i think an event handler which idk how to do to have it where if the normal zoom is being used to basically disable or cancel the function of the mod, or basically do an else type of function i guess. Idk if Axle knows how to do this but AirShark could ask someone on the forums here for some help to setup the function for a switch.
  2. Had a crazy day on the 15th, had to go to the hospital.

    9am Monday i was finishing up posting my update for my RDR2 mod on the Nexus (Bandit Hideouts btw), and i noticed this slight cramping

    on my right side it felt like when you hold a shit in to long and you cramp, lol.

         So i shut down my computer, and this somewhat pain started increasing over a period of 2hrs, was talking with my mom,

    twice on the phone.   The 2nd time i called her the cramping turned into pain, i threw up (puked) twice, almost fainted and

    was almost rolling on the floor in agony, wtf is going on!?

     

         So my mom said you better get yourself to the hospital and get whatever it is checked out, well since i had no ride,

    though i could drive myself i dared not to considering i couldn't sit still, i was pacing around my apartment to take my mind of the pain.

       So i called 911 that connected me to the local ambulance in my town and off i went.   I get to the hospital get my blood taken, triage ect,.

    they tell me to sit in the waiting room, this was at about 1pm so here i sat from 1pm til almost 4pm in pain and severe discomfort,

    seriously WTF!

       

    They finally call me, i get to a room they told me to wait in, it had a bed, so i sit down at the edge of the bed still hurting,

    in about 10minutes the pain subsided, like it just vanished. What happened? Was it the change in seating? Hardly.

        Well i sat in that room for 2hrs, so here 6pm rolls around, doctor comes in, says i need a CT Scan, so an hour after that i get one,

    i ask the nurse if i can use the bathroom, so i do, i must have pissed my brains out for 5min i had to go so bad, lol

     

    Well 7pm roles around another nurse comes in which was like 20min after i peed and says they need a urine sample, omg i just let everything out!

    So she hooked up an iv with water, and basically i laid there for an hour and a half having this water feeding me so i can pee in a container in the room.

        Well 8:30pm comes around i've peed in the container, and there i sit til 8:45 waiting, finally nurse comes back, grabs a sample, then i sit again.

        9pm rolls around doctor comes in, new doctor not the one i seen the first time, says i had passed a few tiny kidney stones,

    well the 1st doc already told me this as they seen it in the CT scan, but the urine sample was to check for any infections and there was none.

     

         Half hour later they said i can go, nurse takes iv jack out and now i waited til 10pm for my ride.

    Not one time did i get any pain medication or had it offered, i spent that entire time waiting in pain and discomfort, i could have saved the

    headache if you will and stayed at home and save myself a ton of money, now i await the bill ... what will it be. Ya that was my Monday

    over 12hrs of waiting in pain and then waiting, WTF!

    Something crossed my mind looking at your pic there with the plane in part in pieces. When the plane gets shot down, or crashes would those pieces break off the plane, or is the removal of those specific pieces done in a certain way? I'm assuming that the destruction of a plane has a whole different function and would have to be setup differently to break into pieces correct?

    Nice! DSabre, a thought on something for the Ju87 is when the pilot is to get into the pilot seat, can you set it up so only the canopy for the pilot's seat opens and not the rear gunner's seat? I dont recall if the rear gunner's seat's canopy would actually open if the pilot were to want to get into his seat do you know?
  17. RYD_PT Patrol Script by Rydygier & Gunter Severloh Description RYD_PT is short for Rydygier's Patrol Script, PT = patrol. The script was written by Rydygier along with ideas, testing and added comments to the script by Gunter Severloh. This project started in early 2022, and was worked on and off since then, it mainly started when i went to Rydygier about some ideas for a patrol script for vehicles and planes. After alot of time, building, testing, and updating months later i released my mission using this script Knights of the Sky and then later Aces of the Sky, along with updates to the code and added features. What does the script do? The script will allow you to spawn vehicles, planes, helicopters, cars, trucks, apc's, tanks, and even infantry of any type. Once a unit or a group spawns based on whatever is defined in the script they will patrol a marker you define, you can set the unit or group's speed, behavior, and combat mode, you can also track them on the map which is disabled by default. You can spawn any vanilla asset be it civilian, military and even spawn anything from any mod to patrol. Features Spawn any type of vehicle that will patrol: cars, trucks, apc's, armored civilian or military. Spawn any type of plane or helicopter that will move and patrol. Spawn any type of of infantry that will move and patrol. Spawn any assets from the vanilla game or from a mod. Spawn assets from any genre, be it modern, WW2, Sci Fi, and Zombies. Track units on the map with a marker, disabled by default. Set the behavior, combat mode, and the speed at which units or groups will patrol. Define in the script via classnames from a pool what will spawn and patrol. Spawn assets through an area, or radio trigger which will then patrol a marker you setup on the map. Assets can patrol any size area and stay within that area or zone you define. When vehicles, or planes are destroyed the script will delete them in 60 seconds (default) which you can change. Works in singleplayer and multiplayer - tested in mp lan, and on a dedicated. ========== Download - (Demo mission) - (no mods required) Download the demo mission, install the mission into the editor folder here: C:\Users\username\Documents\Arma 3\missions You can spawn some vanilla assets by accessing the radio menu 0-0, there you will see spawn plane, spawn vehicles, and spawn infantry. If you go to the map, you will see 3 circles, the largest is for the plane to patrol, the 2nd largest is for vehicles, and the smallest is for infantry. Marker setup In the codes above it says area4, area1, and area2 those are example names for a marker, so in the editor, on the map place a marker set the marker to whatever size you want, name the marker and then put that name into the code in replace of area4. Remember the codes will be in the triggers, and the names of the markers will be in the codes in the triggers you placed.     Arma 3 Launcher not lauching

    Hello, Welcome to BI forums, and back to Arma 3! I would start here: https://arma3.com/launcher/troubleshooting Follow their suggestions, and update anything necessary. I would also delete your steam cache, to do that go to your steam icon, right click then go to settings. In steam settings go to Downloads, and you should see Clear Download Cache. This may not be directly related but anything for the launcher you are updating or installing like a mod will at least wont be corrupted or impaired but existing temp files. But go with the link there and follow what they say and see if that helps and changes anything. Cheers!

    air base simulator suggestion

    Welcome to BI forums! In my opinion you can do all that in Arma 3, you dont need to build a whole new game to simulate what your looking to do here. You can choose a map to put your airfield at or airbase, or use an existing one on a map, then code/script, or use mods to simulate the various features and functions you want, basically just build a mission, then use it as a template, to build other missions off of. Could make it a composition. Arma 3 is your best bet.
