    can that really solve the problem? cause im kind of lazy to do anything right now ..i hadnt had fun with arma 2 since i bought it about 6-8 hours ago..only been looking for solutions...

    well installing SP2 is kind of a lazy thing... just sit back and wait like 20min then its done and you can play ;)

    It were Placebo's idea with the SP2 thingy... that is to say that it is a reliable source! :)

    could you pls explain how to do it in the editor.

    i know how to put myself in a plane in the editor but i don't know how to setup targets etc so they appear on my plane/choppers hud or whatever ? any help would be appreciated

    A tip is that you choose the "Insertion"(dont know the exact name) mode in your own maps by using the map wizard. Then set the insertion marker near a airstrip and place out some nice aircraft... And then when you start the mission you send the rest of the team in to the forest and take cover so you can respawn if you accentually dies of some reason. When you are up in the air, just accept the incoming missions from HQ and you ROCK!

    You already have a compass which tells you the direction and you can tell from the map how high above sea level you are. Either by looking at the lines or if you are in an aircraft looking at the lines and adding your altitude.

    Yes but... :) If you only have the GPS you can skip compass totally... And for example if you go Veteran you can't see where you are on the map... and there is where the GPS height meter comes in. It will be much easier to locate your position on the map with your height above sea level.

    This features may come in a later stage? (BIS? :rolleyes:) Mayby not as prio ONE... but I think it would be rather cool and efficient to have those features! The will help you a lot as they do IRL ;)

    Why doesn't the GPS in the game fully work? I mean the GPS part of the GPS works well but the height above sea level and the direction is just blank... why is it like this?

    Picture to clarify what i mean...

    Think i run over a problem/bug... When I fire the GAU-8 on the A10 the impact sound from the "bullets" is distorted/crackled and the most annoying thing, all of the other sounds in the game is being disabled/or lowered during the "impact time". Should it be like this or is it a BUG?

    Have tried to:

    -Switch to a new profile

    -Disabled the impact pbo (this works... but all the sounds from the A10s impact sounds is gone)

    -Changed soundcard

    Has anyone on vista 64 been able to disable vsync through ATT? I have it forced off in both CCC and ATT and im still capped @ 60fps on the menu screen and when i look at the ground/sky ingame. I'm looking for ati users only of course, I hear the nvidia control panel works just fine.

    Have exactly the same problem! Even if I choose the "always off" setting in Catalyst Control Center (CCC) it's still capped at 60fps :(

    Have stutters too :/, have steady 50-60fps then just random it just freezes in like 0,5-3sec.

    Hi Arre, I thought the temperatures weren't a problem for me too, having similar figures as you, but I was proven wrong the problem disappeared when I cooled my rig.

    You should give it a try. It will cost you nothing if you just take the lid of.

    tried that without with no luck... even made all fans go at 100%. Both cpu, gfx, and case fans

    hopefully Bohemia can fix this in a patch :)

    Played ArmA2 demo for awhile but are experiencing freezes/hangs when I am playing the game. These freezes/hangs occurs every 30seconds to 5minuts totally random. And when they occur the game freezes in 2-5 seconds.

    This happens where ever I am in the game, whether I am in the menu, editor or playing!

    Tried high and low graphics, still the same issue!

    Has also defraged the system!

    my computer:

    c2d 6750 2,66ghz

    4gb ram

    Ati 4870 1Gb
