  1. Yes thats true but i just personally dislike steam for my own reasons, may or may not you like steam, i don't care but im just telling you why i do not like it and would not support it. That is why i prefer buying hard copys i feel more secure

"Yes that's true" Okay.. so why do you still not like it?

Now can someone please answer my question?

  2. hackers, stealing accounts, and the fact steam auto updates and requires to be online to play the games you want to play.I have a whole list of negatives about steam than positives. Which is why i dislike it alot

hackers and stealing accounts can be stopped by being someone with an IQ above 90. Just don't be stupid.

You don't have to be online for the single player games.

Now can someone freaking tell me if the manual is good or not?

  3. ^^^^^^^^ FUCK STEAM!!! if you really want to wait an extra day, than by all means go ahead and down load from steam, but just think how many other ppl will be downloading from steam? its a pretty stupid choice in my opinion since the max that steam allows you to down load at is like 5 meg and thats with-out other ppl downloading!

    wat

steam downloads games way faster than other services.

  4. sorry i suggest you reread what you said, i full agree with blackhawkdown here

You need to think about what he was saying.

He said steam is bad. It is not.

He said VALVe has bad service because they do not have support for a game THAT ISNT EVEN THEIRS.

Steam is pretty much the gamestop of the internet. (but its really good). You can't go into gamestop and say "this game stopped working on my computer" and expect them to help you. It's not their game. It is not their job to help you with that.

The only time VALVe will help you with a game on steam not working is if it's their game. Like Team fortress 2.

  5. logic????? when one of my games crashed they said sorry we cant help you it is a 3rd party game. thats terrile service. i bought the game on your store. maybe when one of your products gets messed up you too will come to dislike steam.

Lol you're expecting VALVe to help with a non-VALVe game?

Go ask the third party developer and reinstall the game. Jesus.

    See? You need logic.

And to whoever said "its just 4 days"... I've been waiting for this game for an eternity. I can't wait any longer.

Honestly, nobody has answered my question. It's so damn simple.

Whoever has the game, go look at your manual. Is it long and colored? Tell me what it is.

  6. Lol steam is amazing.

I've never had any problems and I am a veteran of steam. VALVe has some of the best support and you can also ask the community.

I have 28 steam games and none of them have problems. It never deletes stuff or prevents me from playing.

LOL that's pathetic. If you don't want that sound, then turn the sound effect off.

You can also upgrade computers and reinstall it with steam.

Now stop preaching to me and get some logic.

  7. Retail stores are getting it on the 30th, IIRC. Steam is getting it on the 26th.

I do value manuals and stuff a lot. But only if they're high quality.

Is it several pages long and is it colored? Is the box pretty good quality? (aka not easily damaged)

  8. Hi I tried searching for a thread about this and couldn't find one. Please tell me if there is one.

Should I get the boxed version of ARMA 2 or the Steam version? I live in the US so if I get the steam version, I'll get it earlier, but I love having the physical copy.

    Basically this boils down to:

is the box and manual worth the extra 4 days?

    Thanks

  9. How do you download it from Amazon?

Also, I live in the US, can I still get the version from Sprocket? It seems to be the UK version. If I can even get it, are there any drawbacks to having the UK version?

  10. Hi I really want the gold edition of ArmA. Where is a good place to get this without having to order it and wait a few days? I found a place where you can download it but it is UK only and I live in the US. Also Steam doesn't have the gold edition.

    I don't mind if it's a download or physical.
